When we picked up the car at the delivery site two hubcaps were scraped. We filed a claim with Matson that is still pending. It is possible that your service did the damage. We have been told Matson has pictures prior to loading the car and that should help conclude when the damage occurred. Therefore, I consider this transaction still to be unresolved. We enjoyed our contacts with your service and are pleased other than the hubcaps.
Online is easy but hard to contact by phone. Customer service over the phone is seldom helpful and they are quick to disconnect you or pass on the buck. Happy I got one lady who was professional and helpful and spoke to me like she care about providing a good service and me as a person. There is very little pass on of information between the driver and service office.
So far this has been an easy process getting a car shipped.
Hawaii Transport did a great job handling the transportation of our car from Los Angeles to Honolulu! It was easy to do, customer service was great and the car was delivered on the day they said it would be. I would definitely use them again!
Not too bad. The longshoreman took Friday afternoon before New Year's Eve off and I could not pick up the car in HI until the next Tuesday because of their schedule. When I booked the ferrying I was told they would be open until 3:30 on that Friday. It required me to get two different rental cars and a LOT of hassle. My car was intact except for the driver side window button that was broken. That was also a hassle to fix.
In this captive market I don't have any other choice but to ship my next car with them.

I had my work truck shipped to Oahu. Dropped it off in Oakland and picked it up at Sand Island near Honolulu. The truck was in perfect condition. I even came in a couple days early. This process was so easy! Great service! Thanks hawaiicartransport.com!
Shipped fast and they were flexible to my requests. Not happy the car was very dirty when received. Got the car washed and found the dirt stained the white pin stripes on the mini. Other than that, no qualms.
Easy booking process; drop off. Paid to have the vehicle delivered to the door in Portland. Got their later than expected. But all in all a good experience & we'll use it again when we have to ship vehicle back this summer.
So far, Chris Dominguez has been very helpful in giving this experience the personal touch. I needed to confirm a couple things and he was a person I knew I could call. The car arrived in a very timely manner and included a card for a free car wash. Just a little thing but nice.
Overall, we are happy to have booked our shipment through Hawaii Car Transport. There was some false information given to us pertaining to appropriate shipment dates, but was handled in a timely manner in order to take care of our needs!

The response from Hawaii Car Transport could have been a little more informative. Having put a vehicle worth more than 40k on a ship with no communication of its status was uncomfortable. Perhaps a little communication initiated by the shipper would help in the future. Not knowing is never a good thing.
I will definitely use them again. Shipped both of my cars with them, No problems. The girls in the office in Oahu really know their stuff. They have you in and out in a matter of minutes. Have 2 more cars to ship and will be happy to Hawaii Car Transport.
Good customer service and professionalism, when you can speak to a live person. Very difficult to contact via phone; very long wait time. I had to call multiple times to obtain a final invoice. The option promoted of tracking your vehicle is not realistic. I had to use my own vehicle tracking app to find the location of my vehicle during transport. Because of reliability, I would use this company again.
Just for safety reason I would like to let you know that upon getting into my car I noticed that the car was not shifted into "P" and the hand break was not engaged either! The car could easily roll! Fortunately no incident occurred this time.
Dropping off the car in Hawaii at the office was very stressful, had a lot of workers, but there was no directions on what you were to do, I had three people helping me and I never knew who to turn paperwork back too. And parking my car was stressful the lot was full and the workers in the lot were yelling at me to move my car still not sure what I was supposed to do. In Tacoma the pick up was so easy and stress free!
Although the initial pickup was one day late, the transport from Texas to Long Beach was on time and the delivery in Hawaii was ahead of schedule. Car showed up in great condition. It's a great service.
Name of person picking up vehicle left off original order paperwork causing major hassle at Matson port of delivery. Always got voicemail when asked to call HCT with no response back by phone.
Probably easier to go directly through Matson and price about the same.
Easy to book. Good service from Ryan LaRocca. We were warned by friends about theft for cars being shipped to Hawaii from Washington, and chose your company instead of friends' choice and were happy to have our wheels arrive in great shape, and small amount of tools left in vehicle were still there. Overall, good experience.

Service lady gave me incorrect information (I personally felt that she guessed). She told me the vehicle would take an additional six days from originally quoted. To my surprise I received a reminder call stating that my vehicle was at the dock for 3 days waiting. My suggestion is that you teach your employees not to "assume" or "guess"when responding to customer's questions. If you don't know, find someone who does. Its all about educating the young workers now. I go through the same issues at work. :) Big Mahaloz!
