I have been vegan for over 7 years. I stumbled across this website and thought it was a cool concept with many products I'd never tried before. I spent over $100 and ordered many cold items like ice cream and cheeses. I was home when the package arrived annd pulled it in immediately (despite the blizzard and freezing temps outside). When I pulled it in, all of my ice creams were completely liquid and the box was warm. Many of the products were also out of date. I understand things happen but when I went to ask for a refund for the cost of the 'cold shipper' and all the ruined items, they have given me such a hard time. We've been going back and forth for days now when it should be a simple return for not getting what I ordered. Even more insane, they said that the refrigerated products should be 'safe' to eat if they were 'somewhat cold'. That's not at all how food safety works and being given the runaround rather than just issued a refund means I'm never going to reorder from this site again.
I don't understand this vegan stuff by my granddaughters are vegan. When they come to visit I like to spoil them with vegan goodies. I like to get fancy cheeses and meats. It's different but it makes them happy. Anything for the girls!
I have two children. Both of them have severe food allergies and as a result we've had to turn to a very clean vegan diet. I'm so happy that GTFO has so many products that are allergen free as it helps my children feel included and have some semblance of normal life. I'm happy that they can get us products so quickly. Sometimes the shipping is pricey but it's worth it to make my family happy healthy. I also love all of the great videos they post with recipes. I love all of the mushroom ones. Thanks gtfo for helping my family and making my job as a busy mom a little easier!
They have not paid their bills and owe us 1000s for unpaid services. They've failed to live up to their promises despite very patient payment terms. Don't support this company
I ordered vegan for my visiting niece. The food did not ship on time and then was caught up in a storm. The end result was the food was in shipping for 12 days (ruined) I filled out a claim and specified a refund. They asked for a picture of the damage. The food was sitting in a warehouse for 12 days, how do I take a picture of that? After close to 30 emails with automatic responses they agreed to the refund. I received replacement food. I declined the shipment, and disputed the charges
I paid for overnight shipping on a vegan birthday cake for my son. I ended up paying more for the shipping than the cake because it was the holidays, but I got it anyway since it was his birthday. I followed all the necessary directions on their site to receive the cake in time and I got the cake two days late. I tried to contact the company, the did not answer their phone ever. I emailed and they didn't respond until it was quite obvious the my cake would not be here in time. They refuse to refund the money for expedited shipping and continue to insist they did nothing wrong. Do not trust this company it seems I am not the only person to experience this horrible customer service. Save your money and go elsewhere.
I've been vegan for 2 years now due to health reasons. My passion is cooking and I was at first sad to not be able to cook and enjoy all of the dishes I know and love. Then I discovered GTFO it's Vegan and the sun came out from behind the clouds. I can literally cook anything that I'm craving. Bacon and eggs? You got it. Chicken tenders? You got it. By what I missed the most was sushi and shrimp and they have quite a few options! The only thing I wish was better was the shipping. It's kinda steep but to justify it to my self I make sure to plan my meals in advanced and make a larger order so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
This is the first review I think I've ever written for a company. Ever. But, here I am guess, after the most chaotic delivery situation I've ever experienced. I'll spare too many gory details, but I too was charged $30 for overnight shipping only to get it a week late. The company has zero consistent standards for how customer service is run, and I give them six months tops before they inevitably fold. It was absolutely incredible stuff, from the constant typos in order numbers to the third party delivery app that absolutely does NOT function. Food was good though.
Hi Lochlan, thank you so much for your helpful feedback and we apologize you had a less than stellar experience. Please know, we only offer one option for shipping, and that is next day with UPS. But this refers to the ship time, not the order to delivery time. And we only offer the next day option at this time, given the majority of our orders contain perishable products; given Covid, no carrier (UPS, OnTrac, FedEx) will guarantee their ship times.
We offered 2 and 3 day air options, as well as ground, when we first launched in May, however the carriers lost hundreds of packages to spoilage. And the carriers don't pay for or insure this... as long as it arrives at the destination, no matter how long this takes, they consider it delivered. When a customer places an order, per our site, it takes 24-48 hours to process, then we ship with next day air. We only ship on MON-THU each week (as the order must arrive before the weekend), so if you place an order on a THU-SUN, it likely won't ship til the following MON or TUE and arrive WED or THU.
I also see you refer to a third party delivery app. I believe you are speaking about Route. Please note, this is not a delivery app. This is a package protection app that we added because the delivery carriers do not insure their shipments at this time. It is really for filing a claim in the event you receive a damaged or spoiled package. They collect tracking as this is what they use to process a claim in the event a customer has an issue.

My parents have diabetes and other health problem's. I'm transitioning my family to a vegan lifestyle coupled with changes to diet and exercise. I love my parent want them to live a long time so my kids can remember them. Shopping at gtfo its vegan has make it easy to help my parents overcome the challenges and pick better alternatives. Since going vegan my mothers joints hurt less and she has better mobility. I don't care about the price. I'll doing anything for my family and I'm so thankful that gtfo helps me be a better son.
I ordered a vegan birthday cake for my wife and a few snacks. The day of shipping they canceled the cake and still sent me the snacks without consulting with me on whether I still wanted the items. In the end, I ended up paying over $50 for some snacks I could have bought at the local store. I only added them in because they have a minimum order. So now I don't have a cake for her birthday. This is the worst service I've ever witnessed.

I am a father of 3 kids, and a couple of months ago I went on a vegan diet. I searched for a good reliable source for vegan food, and I came across this website. It has an amazing variety of foods and it is very delicious my 3 sons have been loving it.
Overall, I've been impressed with the quality of products and service I have received from this company. Yes, there have been occasional issues with shipping (it's tricky to ship cold products during a time period where shipping companies are already overwhelmed) but the company stands by their promise to ensure that the customer has a satisfactory resolution. The website is great. All the products are broken down into categories and descriptions, so it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for. Outside of maybe one or two items that just weren't my personal preference, I have absolutely loved every product I've ordered and received from GTFO. They do a good job making sure the brands they sell are reputable and taste great. My favorite part is the amazing selection of artisanal cheeses. Where I live (Midwest) it's almost impossible to find vegan cheese, let alone a wide selection of craft/small batch flavors.
It's sad, because this is an idea with such great potential. People are willing to pay premium prices on shipping to have the ease of shopping for the best vegan products all in one place.: Their website is intuitive and fun to shop, and the products I've received have been great. That said, like most the reviewers here, I've had terrible experiences with the shipping. My current order was on the road for five days, and when it arrived, I had what basically looked like a pile of wet garbage in my box, instead of the $140 worth of specialty items that I had ordered. That wasn't even the worst part, as a shipping mistake can happen to anyone. It was how they handled my complaint. I was instructed to "give the box a chance" even though I paid for overnight air shipping and received five-day ground service, and then report back if I needed to request a replacement of any of the items. Are you kidding me? And, no surprise here, I contacted them Monday as instructed, and was completely ignored even after three emails. I didn't want to post this negative review, and even offered them several ways to help make it right before I did.
We are transitioning to veganism at home, and the variety of products on the website has made it much more effortless than I thought possible (especially for my husband ha!). We love how many alternatives they have for everything! It was almost difficult to choose what we wanted, so we pretty much got an alternative for every kind of meat, vegan eggs (amazing because eggs were hard to give up!) and a bunch of snacks we had never heard of before, super cool! Can't wait for the next order and try everything we didn't get on the first one!
Love this company! Omg they have the best food and I received my shipments the very next day! I have ordered from other sites and paid a ridiculous amount of money with very little options to choose from. GTFO is always keeping it fresh with new products I have not heard of giving me and my family a ton of options.

I have recently ordered from gtfoitsvegan, and I was surprised with how good it was! The shipping was quick, and overall, I loved it. Definitely buying from it again.
Couldn't be happier! I ordered a lot of frozen items we can't get in our area. My order came next day air and everything was packed nicely in a keep cool pack with several reusable ice bags and dry ice. The dry ice was gone, but the ice packs and food were still frozen. A++
Couldn't find any other online marketplace that supplies so many different vegan products. It actually got few types for every type of food you crave for. Few different vegan kinds of bacon, few different vegan "fish", a variety of vegan meat, sashimi, and their packing are really nice and unique. I suspect a few of the other reviews here coming from their competitors, as I really enjoy the GTFO experience.
I've ordered from vegan site before this is the worst. Everything was melted and for the shipping price unacceptable. So disappointed and will not be buying again.

It really troubles us when consumers outright lie and defame our name due to a mistake that the consumer made. We have been going back and forth with V. G. now for days. She placed an order on Tuesday, Thanksgiving week with a selected ship date of Wednesday. It clearly stated on our site that due to Thanksgiving, Wednesday orders would not be delivered until Friday. And V. G. received her cake on Friday, exactly as the site promised.
What is even more astonishing is that V. G. admitted this in her e-mail to us which stated..."I ordered this on Tuesday November 23,2021. I needed the cake for the 25th. The 25th being Thanksgiving and your website indicating that deliveries will not be made on Thanksgiving, I made the necessary arrangements and followed your website instructions and ordered TWO days in advance and selected the ONE-DAY delivery to be certain."
It clearly states on our website that we require 24 hours to process an order, and the ship date on V. G.'s order said Wednesday November 24,2021.
We do feel terrible that V. G. ordered her cake too late to receive it on time for her son's birthday, but this had nothing to do with GTFO It's Vegan. Perhaps she feels guilty and needs someone to blame. When we make a mistake, we do everything in our power to make sure the customer's issue is resolved. But in this case, we did exactly as what was requested.
