Car rental has become so expensive these days and gas prices are high. In Florida, there are also tolls to consider. The Green Motion staff was friendly and did not try to "upsell" me at every moment. The shuttle service was fast from the airport. I ended getting a car which was amazing on gas so I spent only $30 to go to Key West and back.

We booked a small car for a few days, and everything was as smooth and straightforward as it could be. The car was in perfect condition (very new!), and the staff was very nice and helpful. Picking it up took around 15 minutes, and dropping it off was a matter of minutes. Great experience overall!

When for a vacation in Liberia Costa Rica. Upon arrival in Liberia International airport. Wait for a shuttle ride to car rental place. Nobody showed up to pick us up. Since its getting late we decided to take a taxi which cost us $10 for a 5minute drive to Green Motion. It also happen when I return the car. We have to get a ride to the airport from a different shuttle van. So if you get a Green Motion rental. Prepare yourself to get your own shuttle to and from airport. This is my ist and last rental from green motion.
Just google "Green Motion Scam". Tells you everything you need to know. Got charged almost 900 Sterling over super lightly scratched alloys. The rental agreement you sign does not tell you the terms on their website are more extensive, nor does it say you agree to those either. But they'll slap you with the hidden fees listed there all the same!

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
