The guys working for Green Motion were extremely professional and the process was seamless. Met me at the airport where the car was waiting for me. Paid by credit card on site. They had upgraded me to the cutest little SUV which was a bonus. I liked that they took pictures and videos of the car before and after. The guys were so pleasant. After the accident, I reported to the police according to the requirements of the car shop and obtained the relevant claim documents. The car shop also confirmed by email that the documents were OK, but after returning the car, I said that the documents were not OK and the claims could not be settled, and the car repair cost was deducted from the credit card.

I booked a car through their website, went and collected my car in few minutes. The help desk man (Rovaniemi airport) was very nice and helpful and super flexible. He was doing his best to help us since I have only a Revolut and they don't accept that for the deposits fees (so be aware).

Car booked under my husbands name however he has no credit card. Wanted to add myself as driver and use my credit card for deposit but was not allowed to do that. Ended up essentially loosing our original booked and taking a new booking for a car. Would have thought more could have been done to accommodate our situation. It was really frustrating and upsetting for all involved.
Then we got a car we got a car with a flat tyre.
More time spent than getting another car. The next car we got had a near bald tyre, the wipers were gone and the service light was on. We took that car despite its condition as we were so late getting where we needed to go.
The car we got was a Dacia and was not at all a nice car to drive, there was no pep in it, took a long time to get up to 60 miles an hour.

The staff at GreenMotion stayed late to get us at the airport after a flight delay. They had the car ready and it was fun to drive during our Italian country vacation. They quickly got us back to the airport after dropping the car off. Good suggestion is to get the additional insurance no matter who you rent a car from.

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
