Make sure you have proof of every interaction with Grammarly. Although, their terms and conditions state they can take away features and not refund any money, it has helped me with some of the fraudulent monthly charges. I paid my annual premium fee last year.

Signed up for free 14 day trial for business usage, for one person, advertised as $15 discount per month if paying for a year subscription. Immediately got invites to add up to 3 users to the account, did not add any (it's just me). Was charged on day 13 $540 for THREE users, $15 each per month. Tried calling, but there is NO number that can get someone on the phone. Opened case, and it was 'solved' in a matter of minutes, which meant closed and no further info, communication, nothing. Fighting charges now through PayPal. Too bad. I would have continued using their product for years to come.

I purchased this product to help my son in writing a term paper for school. The product was impossible to use. It froze up in the simplest functions such as correcting a spelling error, and would take 5 minutes to unfreeze. The plagiarism feature was so bad I ended up cutting and pasting sections into google directly. When I tried to contact customer service, the phone number leads to a recording telling you to write an email. After 3 emails and no response, I gave up. Be aware if you try to dispute your purchase with the credit card company, they will tell you to get a letter from another similar company on their letterhead, stating Grammarly should provide a service that works. Don't waste your time or money on this product. Buyer Beware!

I would consider myself a Grammar Nazi, but Grammarly helped me transform my good writing into a nearly flawless piece. It has taught me the subtle points that my schoolteachers clearly missed out on. It's been a great learning journey. The only issue I have is that I can't turn it off at will (or perhaps I just don't know how). I tend to switch to my mother tongue while texting, and all the words that Grammarly detects as errors drastically bring down my accuracy scores and are also fairly annoying when it comes to the whole typing experience. Also, the tone detector hasn't worked too well for me yet, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to work for poetry anyway xD. At any rate, it has been very helpful and I would recommend it to anyone writing in English on their devices.
