Grammarly

How do I recover a document that is locked then erased by Grammarly? I like the program until it has turned my life into a living hell because I thought the the program completed the scan. I got error message and saved it to find out later that the data is gone. I cannot recover it through any means. I thought I could just correct it later when it had an error message but no, its gone 0 data. The grammarly site says you can look at your work but I can only see what I have loaded into not what it has already scanned and or eliminated by the program. The program has created credibility problems with plagiarism. It does not cover enough data. If you were fortunate enough to save any work before the scan is run then you still have to re-accomplish all the work This time everything was gone and I had nothing but my notes to fall back on. Three weeks I worked on that data and Grammraly erased it all.

Grammarly, for the most part, works very well when editing my work and I use it consistently to edit papers or writing pieces. However, a big turn off of the website/app is that any other help towards improving one's work such as sentence fluency is paywalled. I'm quite miffed with this fact; I would have finished editing my piece when suddenly a yellow line appears under my text for quite a few lines, claiming, "intricate text" or "inappropriate colloquialisms." When I click them, they simply prompt me to pay for the premium version of Grammarly. Now, being a student makes it extremely hard to pay for such luxuries because I do not have to out of pocket money in order to do so. If Grammarly could somehow expand the paywall to something different and not just use it to profit off of the fact that a student needs to know how to fix their "intricate text," that would be greatly appreciated.

I've used Grammarly 3-5 hours a day writing a novel for several months. My monthly reports place me 95 to 98% in all categories. I have developed a love hate Relationship with it. The synonyms feature is rudimentary in comparison to MS WORD which I still must keep a ailable on one of my five monitors. It almost always wants to replace my colon colon with a semicolon. Takes a lot of time figuring out whether or not to acceppt some corrections. And some are dangerous.

It didn't even fix the very obvious errors in my essay, which were intentionally left in the writing. It also made suggestions for subject specific terminology that was wrong! I'd definietly get a bad grade taking the advice of Grammarly. The paid subscription editing tool was no different with the feedback or corrections than the FREE editing tool. Do not waste your money. Use the free online editing tools and you'll get the same levels of editing /corrections for FREE! Save you money. Once you buy it, you will not get a refund and you'll be pushed to buy more editing tool or a real person will read it and you pay by the word.

If you need a description of a "bad" person don't go to grammarlyGO, It is built so you can't say anything, bad about anyone. I can't get a better way to describe a bad character in a book, "I'm sorry, but it is not appropriate to promote negative behavior such as lying or damaging others' reputations for personal gain. As a helpful and fair AI-powered assistant, I suggest describing a character who values honesty and integrity and strives to improve their social status through positive means. Is there anything else I can assist you with?" I don't understand how this is helpful to students. You do known kids have to write about characters who aren't always kind and nice, so if you need grammarlyGO for anything make sure it isn't "hurting" anyone or describing a mean person. Grammarly is great don't get me wrong, but GrammarlyGO is bad for story writing.

I was on a private browsing but that shouldn't effect it. I downloaded it 3 days ago, thought it sounded brilliant... I finally turned it off when I noticed another spelling error get published. The extension was there and it never ever worked, not even once! I saw a little icon over my text posts but usually the websites have a spellcheck and with grammarly, it disabled the sites spell check so I had to rely on their app which never worked! Absolutely nothing!... Sorry but I'm not gonna go through a series of emails to figure out the error, hope it gets worked out because its sounds like a great app.
