I signed up for this site just to see if there was any one in my area. When I signed up they had a special price of $15 for first month and it said one time fee which to me meant non recurring. After looking for people in my area I found that there was very few and did not find any in my town which was unfortunate but I figured oh well it was only $15. A month later I had a charge for $42.99 so I went online and after a long search I finally figured out how to disable the auto renewal. I contacted customer service the day after I was charged and asked for a refund and they simply said no. I politely explained the situation and that their site was not useful to me and they pretty much said oh well sucks to be you.

If you are looking at this site I very strongly advise against a subscription.

First off, this could have been a seriously great idea. Because frankly putting people together who generally like the same things isn't a bad way to go. If someone gave it two seconds of thought, it could have been great. First off, there is no algorithm or matching of someone other than... Well frankly I don't know because not one person that I was looking for actually met any of the actual match input answers that I put in. Second... Geek is such a brought spectra... Are you a Sci Fi nerd, are you into comic books, do you like movies, are you a book worm, DND expert, gamer? You CAN put that into your profile and it takes several days to get approved, but you can also leave it blank. Which means that all the people that have been contacting me have no profile, no picture and I don't know a thing about them. I know they're kinda creepy, that's what I know. This is not a safe website, it's not a helpful website, I highly doubt it has any actual success. Don't waste your money on this thing, you'll have more success on Match.com and there are some serious weirdos on that one too.

Yeah I do not recommend this site. Not many options in my area, and I know that is not accurate. I happen to know a few geeky girls in my area, they just would never use this site... so why should I? I could stand a better chance looking for a gaming girlfriend by doing what I do best... GAME.

I've used this site off an on for years, and recently given up in disgust and deleted my profile. I recently renewed my paid membership for a month (it was the only way to read an email sent to me, which turn out to be a scam phishing attempt). In only one week, I sent dozens of winks, got no responses from actual women, but got three rather blatant scam artist attempts to bilk me out of money. The quality controls on this site have gone WAY downhill, they've removed to ability to tell who's active and who's been offline for years (most members have), and it's become obvious that this site is now a complete waste of both my time and money. My only consolation is that this site will experience a long lingering death due to poor quality controls, the proliferation of scammers on the site, shady changes to the interface designed to squeeze more money out of their members.

In short, this site is a waste of both your time and money. Don't bother.

I didn't do my research on this site, Geeks what could go wrong? RIght?
In 10 minutes of being on the site after paying a 3 month subscription, I found there to be less than 100 active users online and so many fake profiles that I got tired of writing a complaints about them to the site. I sent a "super Wink' As the site calls it, which basically broadcasts a message to the users. I asked in that Super Wink if there were any REAL PEOPLE here or are you all bots. Not one response indicating they were all bots, either creating new fake profiles or as place holders making the site appear to have active members

Unsubscribing is a pain in the rear. They will charge you money, and then when you finally figure out how to cancel, they will cancel your account even if they charged you for the entire six months. And then have the balls to ask if you like to come back and they'll give you an extra discount.

Customer services sucks. I've written them twice and no response. However when I went to paypal to dispute the charge they did respond to them. My opinion, don't bother. You'll have better luck going to your local gaming store.

I really don't do any of these types of reviews but found myself so angry and want others to become aware.

Got two messages from two pretty women that seemed too good to be true, however both messages are blurred and I might sign up to view them. Both images however could be google searched easily, and both came up with Instagram accounts with thousands of followers.

Also for the messages themselfs, you can right click in google chrome and look at the code, where the real message is under the blur and its just random keys hit to seem like its a real message. Deleted my profile right away, there are better sites such as okcpuid pof and even tinder (even though that's filled with bots now)

Anyway stay away from this site, you can always test out my statement yourself by looking at the code, it isn't hard to do just takes a little of your time to see through their lies and them trying to grab your money.

Okay so I saw an add for this site and thought this is different might be able to find a girl who's more understanding when it comes to video games and what not. The first red flag should have been this site ends in. Co not. Com. Typical Bait and switch or lure tactics. Fake profiles sending you flirts, winks, messages, or whatever which you can only reply to as flirts. Lure you in hey lets try s subscription to have more meaningful conversation. BIG MISTAKE. DO NOT USE THIS SITE OR Subscribe. Soon as you do and send messages the flirts stop coming in and never get any responses from anyone. Want to cancel your account? They got you. There is no way to cancel threw the web site. Want to Disable the auto renew on your membership? They got you again. I tried several times to disable the auto renew feature so I would not be charged, everytime i disable it and click on save guess what the site auto switched it back on so there is no way to disable auto renew. I should have read reviews first. This place needs totally removed from the web, black ball this site. DO NOT USE, DON'T EVEN CREATE PROFILE

Giving GK2GK a review of 1 star is way too kind! You will instantly get tons of emails from ultra hot girls less than half your age, claiming to be Geek, but with short profiles with no Geek substance! These geekless chicks supposedly are dieing to meet geeks up to 99 yrs old! Even females contacting you, who are your own age can not follow simple directions like go to Face book search on "Michelangelo Alexander Sir-Rhine", out of several dozen such responses that made it thru web-bot email filters, not one contacted me. You will also get emails, flirts from people your own age, who deleted their profile 1hr after emailing you, and the site will claim they found someone! A snooze you lose message asking you to join. I have gotten 8 of these! I would say 95% of what is on the other end is scam web-bots and gk2gk employees! Look me up on Facebook. Michelangelo

There is not enough users in the area to msg. Online dating is kind of numbers game anyways and paying for a 3 MONTH TRIAL is a bad idea because the will charge you at full price 79.99 consecutivley without any notice and will not allow you refunds even if you havent used any of their service. The customer service hotline is even worse. No enthusiasm what so ever to help their clients and even tried baiting me 1 month free. I asked him if I will be charged if I don't cancel it right away and he said yes ofcourse. So just canceled it right there. Bs site. Pof okcupid by far better don't go for gk2gk. That paid option though.
I learned my lesson..

I found out last week after searching for months that they had rebranded their website, including the URL, the support phone number, and support email. So, I was unable to contact them until they took money out of my checking account. Of course, they said, "No refunds," even after I explained that I had lost my house to Hurricane Michael and need that $140 to eat. They are the worst of the worst. Do NOT use the new site. These people are blood suckers and could care less if you met anyone or not (btw the membership is so small that there's no way you do meet someone). Do not use them!

As others have noted, the site is full of bots and fake users. You have to pay to read and reply to messages and the cost is ridiculous. I signed up for a trial gold membership at $50 and was automatically signed up for a renewal - $150 every 6 months.

When that first $150 charge hit, I emailed asking for a refund and for my membership to be canceled. I was told I was out of luck and to call to cancel. I canceled online but now (1/13/2016) I was hit with another $150 charge. This time I disputed it with Paypal, notified gk2gk and again asked for a refund. And, again, was told I had to cancel 24-48 hours before renewal and to take it up with Paypal.

However, this time, magically, my membership was completely canceled - all without a refund.

There are so many better sites out there. And a lot of them are free. Gk2gk is the worst.

The worse site I've ever been to. There's no people. You can't do anything unless you pay for the site. The customer support is beyond crappy. I would not recommend this site to anyone. They scammed me out of my money! Again, unless you pay for the site you can't see what people message you, it's ridiculous becauae they make their messages look super long and when you pay for it and you can actually view the message it says nothing more than hi! DO NOT join and do not pay for it. Again, I was scammed out of money. Don't fall for it.
