I received my Order #******* today and my new Kate Spade Sonia Purple Beau bag is absolutely stunning, but it has tons of scratches on it! :( I immediately contacted the Online Chat Customer Service and Jessica replied. She was so helpful and helped me to immediately purchase a new one. She also gave me directions to print the return shipping label to return the scratched handbag. She was so helpful and very pleasant.
I was overcharged on a high end bag and called right away to update customer service. They put me on hold and stated they would get back to me. With a poor apology and no concern for the mischarge or adjustment needed, they lost me as a dedicated customer. I recommend that when a company treats its best customers with a lack of empathy and respect, it's never worth it. Don't bother with Gilt. Pay the extra money and buy from the source. Your customer service experience will be much better and you will be appreciated and you will be treated as a customer worthy of consideration. I am highly disappointed with the customer service and lack of caring. Awful experience.
I am a Gilt Noir member. I ordered a nonreturnable item. When the package arrived it was not the item I ordered. I sent an email explaining my situation. Within 4 minutes I received a reply from Andrew, Customer Service Specialist. He initiated the return and provided a link so I could print the return confirmation and shipping label. After I replied and thanked him he followed up to be sure if I had any future problems I knew how to contact Gilt via live chat, phone or email I have always found Gilt.com customer service to be excellent.
Why don't you have a zero star rating? I agree stay away. First time I ordered sunglasses and my card would not go through because it is an overseas credit card. I called customer service, no answer. I gave up so I didn't put in an order.
Second order, I waited and waited. It never came. I called the customer service and they said that the supplier never sent them the product, any product for that matter for that advertised sale. I never received an email or a phone call to inform me of this and I told them how irrresponsible. Never ordering anything from them again.

International customers beware! U must ship back each item SEPARATELY with tracking. Therefore, the shipping return is extremely expensive. It cost me 82.00 CANADIAN to parcel up and return 4 individual packages of the 6 items I ordered. GILT charged me 12.50 shipping for the order to arrive. I do a lot of online shopping and although I love Gilt's items and discounts it is not customer friendly outside of the US.
I had good experience with them till my last order of outdoor furniture. It has been 3 months and I still have not received it. I have been calling up every week and it has been futile. I want to cancel my order and still nothing is happening. I had to cancel events in my house as i have no patio furniture. It has been the most disappointing experience and it seems noone cares.
This site is HORRIBLE! I bought a deal for a car service roundtip to the airport and right before my trip they send me an email saying sorry but we are refunding your deal. No explanation why. On top of that I had to wait 5 business days for the money to return to my account. I was left with no ride to the airport and down $100 before my vacation. Will NEVER use this site again!
How could a company that wants to sell pants not provide inseam details? Unbelievable. And then when you complain the respondent claims that "most products" have the information. When that's patently not true.
I bought a purse from gilt.com. I later on returned it a few days later shipping and handling was sent by customer service. I was told I should receive my refund within 10 business days. The item was returned on June 12th 2020. It's June 23,2020. I contacted my financial institution and was told no refund was posted on my account. I in fact called customer service last week to verify and was told 10 days to get a full refund back onto my debit card. I will never shop on gilt ever again! I still have receipts and emails.
I was unhappy with a final sale dress I purchased to be my wedding dress. I understood I couldn't return it, but I reached out to Gilt to find out if anything could be done at all to help me. They were more than gracious and extended me an offer to return the dress for a store credit. Their customer service deserves kudos for the effort and I will definitely be continuing to shop with them.
I had a horrible experience with Gilt! I ordered an expensive pair of shoes as a Christmas gift. They never arrived so I finally found a live representative and they cancelled my order and my account without ever telling me. Now they sold out of my shoes. Never order from this site!
I have been shopping at gilt.com since i was in law school! And it just gets better and better. They actually listen to their customers and try to fix things that are wrong. They ship ur items quickly and efficiently (and for only $5) and when ur package arrives, it is professionally packed! I am a lifetimer
How many emails can one company send me! Fine, I bought a dress. I liked the dress. Too big. Returned the dress. Weeks later, I have not yet received a credit. I sent an email. No response. Too many emails, no CS, no returns = not doing that again. I think they should feel "guilty."
I bought some Maurizio sheets from Gilt and the sheets were defective. I bought a king size set and the "fitted" sheet should have been for a king but way way too large. It would not even have fit a California king - it would have been too large for that. I never expected that problem. I looked over the sheets before washing them to make sure there were no defects but never expected them to be TOO large. I did not expect the best quality but this was a bit ridiculous. I contacted Gilt and their response was sorry they are defective but it is final sale!
This isn't the first item I've purchased from gilt and up until now, I've had no issues. I ordered a rug on line, they sent the wrong rug. When I informed them of this, I also told them the rug was in terrible shape and poorly made. They told me to return it for a full refund. I just got the rug back today informed that a refund could not be issued because it was damaged. WTF? Terrible company and customer service.
Their website is not intuitive - it is hard to notice that the shipping address which is obsolete does not change when you enter your new address. This means that even if you entered your new address once, you have to be very careful during your next order to check the shipping address. There should be a very clear message asking to change the default shipping address. My orders went to the address that I used to live at 3 years ago, and GILT refuses to refund. Disappointing
I bought a Rachel Reinhardt necklace--pink Jade and 14k gold. I paid 5.95 shipping for the approx $70 purchase. I was hoping for high quality shipping, what I ended up with was my necklace wrapped in a plastic bag, loosely contained in an oversized shipping box. As soon as I picked up the package I heard the necklace freely moving around in the box. If they can't even take the care to ship this delicate product to me safely, why would I bother buying from them again? You're item isnt safe. MyHabit and Hautelook does a better job.
App has function that will cause you to untintentionally make purchase. There is a pop up on the checkout page that asks if you like the app. If you click to close the pop up the buy button is automatically activated. Presto! You made a purchase whether you want to or not. What's worse is customer service is incompetent and despite 4 emails they could/would not cancel the order
The managers helped me choose the size, sent it pretty quickly. I liked the quality, the fabric is nice, the style is interesting. The company left a good impression, you can order things without fear.
With their new "return for gilt credit if the item is under $200" policy, I'm already turned off... but even worse is that even if a returned item is received and credited BEFORE a new item is shipped, they won't use the credit. The credit has to be in the system before one orders. It's not legal to charge for an item until it is shipped, but they can't use a credit that is received before charging and shipping a new item? Gilt is now less user friendly than a department store.

Answer: DO NOT purchase from Gilt! They state they "stand behind the authenticity" of their products. THEY DO NOT! I paid $975.96 for a LV handbag. Later, (after the 30 day refund policy) it started falling apart. Found out it was a fake. Gilt will not exchange or do anything to correct this. It's horrible customer service.
