You asserted that the delivery would be made on the Friday before Mother's Day. Neither Saturday or Sunday were an option. Fine. Friday was good. In fact, you delivered it the Monday after Mother's Day, thereby negating the reason for the purchase. It's really just unacceptable. If you'd told me it couldn't be delivered prior to Mother's Day, I wouldn't have ordered it. But then I assume that was your business model.
I have used gift tree for several years now and love it! The gifts are nice and the have helpful service people and amazing delivery time!
I have ordered products for my mother in Florida three times from gift tree and two times they have failed to deliver the item the first time the item completely disappeared and this last time it was supposed to be delivered the day before Mother's Day and it got there the day after Mother's Day. Give tree thinks that if they don't deliver a Mother's Day gift on time they can just refund you the shipping and everything is okay but all of a sudden there with mother know that this is not the case that doesn't make everything better.

This is not something we take lightly being a small team of Mothers ourselves, we absolutely understand the importance of giving thanks to the super Mother in our lives and can appreciate how upsetting it is when things don't go as planned. While it is rare these days, the shipping carriers do continue to encounter delays and because of this, we are unable to guarantee delivery dates. This was not meant to be a surprise and we do have this outlined in our Shipping & Delivery information, as well as on the order confirmation page, and in the confirmation email you received at the time you submitted the order. It's never our intention to be unfair and we did discuss that we were open to honoring a full refund upon the return of the gift. The gift ended up being delivered and signed for within minutes of us hanging up the phone on Monday morning, so we moved forward with processing the refund of your shipping cost. You will see this in your account in the next 3-5 banking days.
I reviewed your previous order with us and found that the package was misdelivered by FedEx and they had marked it as successfully delivered to her door. Once the lost package was reported to us, we immediately upgraded the gift from a tea gift to a wine gift and had it overnighted at our cost through UPS to ensure it was received quickly.
It pains me to see that you've been on the negative end of these delivery experiences twice now. I have emailed a gift card your way that can be used like cash on GiftTree.com towards any future order. We do recommend selecting an earlier delivery date to account for the potential delay. We do look forward to a time we are able to return to our usual level of service.

Process seemed simple.
I'm based in Japan, sending my Mum two Mother's Day gifts.
I ordered a gift basket and a bouquet of flowers. Tracking update mentioned that they have delivered both items, the gift box was delivered however my Mum didn't get any flowers.
Unsure if I can get a refund for the flowers as it cost a significant amount.
Very disappointed.

When I placed this order, I requested that it be delivered for Mother's Day, May 8th. I was told that it should arrive there
Thursday, 5th. It did not & when I checked the order again it now said estimated delivery date May 12th. This was Not acceptable. I called the company again & this time I spoke to James. He confirmed that indeed it was scheduled to arrive days after Mother's Day. He apologized. He said he would do his best to get the gift there by Mother's Day... AND HE DID! The recipient was delighted with the gift as were we. Thanks again James. This meant a lot to us. Joan

What I thought was an amazing gift for my mom turned out into a disaster.
The cookies and chocolates were broken and melted.
The fruit was soggy and flat/dripping in the box. (Orange and pear)

I ordered a gift for my father's 85th birthday. The order was placed on April 10,2022, for delivery to their home in Los Angeles on April 27,2022. There was no holiday, no strike, and Covid is no longer a player in delayed deliveries. I paid full price for delivery.
Gift did not arrive. After several phone calls to Giftree, Giftree blamed UPS for the gift being delivered to a UPS holding site (Michael's store) instead of my parents' home and asked me if my 85 year old father could pick it up from the Michael Store. I ordered this gift to be delivered to my parents' home, paid for the delivery fee, and Giftree had the audacity to suggest my parents pick it up at Michael's. Furthermore, no explanation why it was delivered there instead of my parents' home. After I refused and told them I paid shipping fees to have this expensive ( over a $100 gift), Giftree gave me more false promises that the gift would be delivered within 3 days of the actual date,
After several phone calls, on May 4th, (7 days from April 27), Giftree said they would reorder my Dad's gift and have it shipped overnight to my Dad, and that he should receive it next day, May 5.
May 5 th came and went, still no gift.
Finally, on May 6th, 9 DAYS AFTER my dad's 85th birthday, he finally received it.
Giftree refunded my delivery fee. That' s all I got for all my trouble and their piss poor service.

First and foremost, we are terribly sorry that this experience has left such a sour taste in your mouth. I can appreciate how upsetting this has been for such a milestone birthday and being for your father, I can't say I'd feel any different in your shoes after seeing him go without a gift on his birthday. I have looked into the delivery with UPS and found that a flag was triggered within minutes of us handing the package over to UPS. See below;

When I see this, it does not mean that a request was made for this specific package, but that package handling instructions have been set for any package shipping via UPS to this residence. Regrettably, this is not something we or you could have anticipated until the instructions were followed through with and the package ended up at that Michael's office around the corner from their home. Your experience with GiftTree is something we strive to maintain as a positive and memorable one, and while that original gift remains at the Michael's store where it can still be retrieved, we did overnight a replacement gift via FedEx that was signed for at 9:58 am on May 5th. You mention it was not received until May 6th, so I do fear someone else is handling these packages prior to them reaching your father which is causing these to be delayed.
We do value your feedback and patronage and are always looking for ways we could improve our service. We hope this additional context will help prevent future painful experiences with GiftTree or any other gifting service.

I was very happy with the online selections of gifts, the website was very user friendly, excited that I could us the coupon code on my first order and the quick ship and reasonable shipping fee is was the icing on the cake, or should I say cookies :) Thank you for a great shopping experience! Then it all went down hill. They notified me by email to advise my order shipped, however, it never arrived, the customer service isn't open on week end so I could follow up but found out through Fed Ex that they never contacted Fed Ex to pick up, so my Mother's day gift was never received. When I finally got a hold of customer service the following Monday (after Mother's Day) they said it was lost in shipping, which was false since they never sent it out to begin with. P. Thank you for reaching us regarding your delivery! I've looked into the cause of this delay and found that the delivery was attempted on May 6th at 1:47 pm, however, there was no one home at the time to accept the package. An adult signature is required for all packages containing wine, so a door tag was left at the time to notify of the delivery attempt. This did result in the delivery being completed on the next business day, Monday, May 9th at 2:21 pm. We are terribly sorry this did not go as planned, but do hope she was able to enjoy the moment and the goodies once received!
