Cleaned and taped a small section of our patio seam that was leaking. Waited for nice weather to make sure there was no moisture. Applied three coats. When weather reached In the lowered 90s, it cracked.
$90.00 for a gallon can of crap. It is the most difficult product to use ever! A postal stamp seals better than this garbage. Two pencil size holes that dripped water on steps. Flex seal would not stop the trickle. Bottom line: Don't believe everything you see on TV.
Hey people I bought the 3 lb. can and am totally satisfied! Easy to apply, easy to clean up myself and my tools. Sealed around my stove pipes which were previously leaking and it worked, it did what was described. Now we will test it over time and see if we get a leak in the future. So far your product gets ten stars!
Ive used it on everything from my roof, gutters, concrete statues, paintings, including paintings on glass tables! But if it comes in contact with sidewalk salt, i use the pet safe stuff, it strips it right off! But i sprayed our entire purgla prior to assembly and 4 yrs still going strong
Used it for leaky gutter, (small leak), went on like silly string, did it 3 times, did no good at all. Purchased at home depot, if i still had my receipt i would return it. Will not ever recommend using this product. Bob m.
Two stars because the product worked for me, but the container was apparently defective. Used product once after buying it in September 2020 for a small job using very little of the contents. I recently (March 2021) went to my workshop shelf, where all my products are stored without problems, and found the can had erupted like Mt. Vesuvius. I am happy with the product as it has held up well in the direct Arizona sun for about six months now. I'm unhappy because the small amount I used turns out to have been pretty expensive considering the can failure and the rest of the product now going in the dumpster. I hope Amazon/Flex Steel will replace the defective can... we'll see and I'll try to provide a follow up to this post.
Ordered Flex Paste from the company two different times, both times it arrived promptly. It worked great to seal some gaps in my asphalt driveway. It is a little hard to trowel, especially when it's cold. But is cures to a rubbery firmness and can shrink and expand in the cracks. Good stuff.
I have purchased almost all the stupid products advertised by this company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Nothing works! Not even for 5 minutes. They have no guarantees but worse it solves no problems. Leaks still leak and the advertising is outrageous lies. Cant say enough negative remarks about this totally useless product line.No need to send pictures just water leaking all over. They should be reviewed by consumer affairs committee and shut down!
I thought it was going to fix my problem... but as time went by it just got brittle and started flaking off, didn't seem to mater what the surface was or how clean. Would not spend another dime on this stuff!
After politely explaining the urgent nature of my repair, Stephen from "customer service" replied that my order would be processed in the order received. No Apology for quoting a time they couldn't fulfil. Yeah, the 'Rona, we all know---but what I see is that they care more about getting that order than the customer or being honest, so they intentionally deliver normal shipping quotes on the website. I don't code, but I know it's pretty simple to adjust something like that.
As usual, if you see a slick widget-slinger on a TV commercial, plan on the snakeskin underbelly, in this case made of clear, white, or black rubber.
Doesn't actually do anything even after 40+ coats. The ads are definitely a lie, I damn near destroyed my gutter in the process of trying to fill a pin hole. Well... I would've if the $#*! didn't scrape off like butter. Still, now it looks eternally dirty and gross thanks to the residue.
Opened 3 plastic cans of Flex paste 3 months after purchase... all were solid hard. Cannot use. Called customer service... wanted pictures, provided pictures, no response. Product does not work on the roof of motorhome as they claim. Hardens and becomes brittle and cracks.
Unfortunately I did not read the reviews I purchased the spray and the tape neither of the 2 products came even close to my expectations. I personally would have to agree with everyone else that I have read their comments this product is sub standard and junk. I used it on my wood shop roof to stop leaks I have varieties of exotic woods expensive machines to mill wood with I do custom wood working I lost approximately $4000 worth of exotic woods because of this product all so tools got wet causing rust staining wood. There is a problem in the finishing process. I think what needs to happen here, an attorney needs to get involved. A class action lawsuit should be issued at this point not only from me but everyone else.
Have not had the chance to make review. I ordered the Flex Seal paste on May 11,2020. Still no delivery. They have withdrew the money from my bank account. I talked to someone two weeks ago. They said it is on it's way. Apparently it comes from a town 40 mile's away from me. How hard can that be. They are dishonest, I would think twice about ordering online. Sounds like they have poor management.
The paste is a joke! It sets up as soon as you open. Very difficult to work with. Advertising very misleading& cost is ridiculous. Sorry, should have looked at reviews before purchased. Took back & got my money back. The store when I returned told me they have a lot of returns for this product & I see why.
I got the spray on flex seal to stop a leak in a man hole. Worked on it all summer so it would be dry. I put about 6 or 7 layers and the first rain fall, it leaked. So don't waste your money. Can you say " garbage"
Thank you. Francis
I bought two cans of the flex seal. I used both cans as directed and still had a leak. The leak was a very small one and it leaked just as bad 5 days later after 5 coats. I wish I would have stopped after the first can because I wasted 25 dollars on this terrible material. Don't waste your time or money is my suggestion.
Read the instructions, "apply several even coats until ALL cracks and holes have been filled, Allow 24-48 hours today,,, 48 hours to fully cure. Sprayed on Tuesday Thursday it was completely wet! Rude employee told me, The More you apply the longer it takes, hopeful to return for a refund, container I sprayed the inside of is not going to be used, possibly going to have to throw away. Sounded good but,,,,,, not yet
I had a small leak in camper roof. I used liquid Flex Seal and covered entire area 3 feet around hole, Looked great. Next year I decided to coat entire roof. Bad idea. 2 years later Flex Seal starting flaking off and roof leaked resulting in major damage. Also roof cannot be coated with anything until all the Flex Seal is removed. Decided to scrap My camper valued at 6000.00
We bought 8 spray cans of Flex Seal to coat the seams and bottom of our above ground swimming pool to stop a leak and prevent new ones. We coated it several times waiting a day between to let the first coat cure. After two weeks it was still tacky but other people told us that was normal... we filled the pool and turned the kids loose. Now we get to throw out the 2000 dollar pool because every time the kids get our their feet are coated in Flex Seal. The carpet from the back door to the bathroom was also ruined before we figured out what what mess was and we cannot get the Flex seal out of it. Also took me 2 hours to scrub the crap off my shower floor because it transfers so easily from the bottom of their feet to absolutely any other surface while somehow still being decidedly difficult to fully remove from their feet. The pool still leaks. Complete waste of money on a product that is going to wind up costing us thousands more in clean up and repair.
Answer: I would highly recommend NOT using anywhere around moisture. I experienced mildew growing on product.
Answer: No. Recommend you use eternabond sealant and then eternabond tape and skip this garbage.
