Gayquation

I have had the misfortune of using this service in the hope of finding a genuine partner. I was encouraged by their claims that they have a process of screening potential mates and paring you up with a suitable partner based on " a special equation." Unfortunately all their claims proved to be false as again and again I was "introduced" to men who did not at all meet any of my expectations. They just seem to look up people on online sites and apps and "hook them up" with other men. If you are looking for a genuine relationship look elsewhere.

Took a chance to sign up and felt very scammed. Despite living in a city with a huge gay population it took a very long time to get my first match who promptly didn't return my first e-mail contact. Out of the four people who I was ultimately introduced to, only one even bothered to initially respond via email once.

I so wanted this to be real and work, but somehow over four months they couldn't even find someone to reply to an email despite their "vetting" system. Sadly, I 'd say to stay far away!

I took a chance with this company. The person who I dealt with which I believe is also the owner (1 man operation) was very nice and pleasant. Being nice is one thing but providing a service that is paid for is another. The first 2 matches that he sent he flat out told me that he did not think that I would like. Why send them to me? The other match was not interested in dating anyone. Finally the man working for the company told me that since I lived in South Florida it was extra work trying to match me. We have a HUGE gay community here. So that I did not understand. I stated that I was open to long distance. I went at least a month and heard nothing. Finally I received and email stating that he suggest I cancel my membership because he was having a hard time matching me... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS SO CALLED MATCHMAKER!

Dating in Tampa was very frustrating until a friend referred me to GayQuation. Proud to write this review and call Nick and Greg my friends. They have always been responsive, attentive and Nick provides me invaluable advice during our coaching sessions. If people think matchmaking is easy, they may want to remember the reason why we chose to try it in the first place. Lol I am sure I am not the only one where this is their first go around. Regardless, I am aware they have their work cut out for them, especially in our community. How many gay men do you believe are genuinely looking for something of substance? Needle in a haystack? Perhaps not. But they do yeoman's work in filtering out the duds and keeping my best interest at heart when saying yes to the potentials. I clearly don't have the time and, humbly, even the know-how to do it. :) I have terrible judgement in men and honestly can be a little gullible. I am relatively new but after spending thousands of waste less dollars on a local company, I decided to roll the dice with gayquation - they seemed affordable. I am thus far pleasantly surprised. I did not have expectations going in because of the low price point. I have met several men and remain hopeful as I am also open to making new friends being a newly out gay man. I am also too busy to be searching for quality candidates so that's why I went this route. I do realize they are not God but I do like someone filtering out the bad weeds out there. I will update if allowed in the future.

I wanted to say thank you to customer support for being so speedy and professional. Three days after my phone interview I had an unforeseen emergency. I contacted my matchmaker and within an hour he processed my refund. I felt bad for the time he had already spent but he didn't blink twice and understood my situation. Customer service contacted me shortly thereafter with an email confirmation. I will definitely be back once things settle down. From what I experienced thus far, the company is quite impressive. I started with an hour long consultation with a senior matchmaker, who didn't rush the call and answered every single one of my questions. My interview followed after I signed up and filled out their questionnaire. It lasted over 90 minutes and was very thorough and he provided me excellent suggestions in terms of my criteria. Again, I will be back for the next phase of the process. See you hopefully in the summer!

I have an incomplete review as they had a hard time finding matches in Rapid City, SD. But I cant fault them for that. They were kind to refund my membership fee after having an interview and one month of work. They did recommend expanding radius but I am relocating to Minneapolis in the fall so will definitely try them again at that time. They have very good customer service.,., I got a reply over the weekend. Otherwise good experience, will be back.

In the age of the app, when people are half-hearted and non-committal for understandable reasons, this service offered me a matchmaker that weeded through many out-of-network sites and patiently separated the wheat from the chaff. Nick did this with honesty and integrity. To sweeten the deal, his company includes incredible guarantees to make sure I'm given good value, and additional protections I did not think to ask for, but felt grateful they did.

Nick is also a coach that you can count on to be sensitive, aware, and help you navigate through obstacles I might be creating through old habits and the like. I came from a culture that operated through informal matchmaking. Although I knew I'm in a different culture now, I could not let go of needing someone to "be my agent". Nick did such a good job, I felt cured from that need. Yes, I did not make lasting connections with my introductions, but it is not from his lack of trying.

I'm a fish out of water and that makes it hard to meet men, let alone quality men. Also, it seems like the number of people looking for a relationship has dwindled to nothing. I was told during my consultation that they would act like a blood hound and, boy, did they. Within the first month I met 3 men 1 that turned into a short term relationship. I think I jumped in too quick in that relationship as it did not end up lasting. I am a romantic at heart and learning to pump the breaks. I came back to Gayquation and they continued where we left off without missing a beat. I am going to take a little more extra time as I was advised if I find the "right" guy. This time I will be listening. Kudos!

I am writing this review to thank Gayquation and Nick especially. I had been on the market for a long time. I tried meeting guys through friends, speed dating, gay events, and online. I found that I was not meeting any real prospects. I was really discourage. Then came Nick. He had me fill out a long questionnaire about what I was looking for. He then interviewed me for 90 minutes to get to know me better. Then, he produced a guy that could have been made in a lab for me. As my partner and I got to know each other, we figured out that we were compatible in more ways than just the topics on the questionnaire. Even my friends who understand my dating challenges, were amazed at how our story turned out. My partner and I have been living together for six months now and we are VERY happy. I can't say enough positive stuff about gayquation and Nick. They do a great job and are well worth the what I paid for the service. I feel like what I got back more than made up for it. Don't give up on love. Give gayquation a try.

Man there's too much selection out there and hardly no one here in the high desert. It's like choosing off a menu. Thank God for GQ. So, I signed up for Gayquation about 3 months ago thereabouts and I really like the service. The first round of matches were not to my liking. The first match was a sexy piece but didn't have any substance. The next match was always busy since he was a doctor. We didn't have much in common although both guys matched my request. As a 33 year old mechanic, I work on race cars it just seemed silly to pursue him if he couldn't make time for me. The next month my matchmaker consulted me and we made some changes to my preferences and I got two dates and a bonus match that has turned into a good friend. (Mike if your reading this. Shout out) waiting on my next set and enjoying the matchmaking rodeo. Keep rounding them up for me guys. Totally stoked and love the service. Already told my friends.

I am always baffled at how my friends take the time to write negative reviews but not positive ones.

That being said - kudos to Greg, Nick and Arman, I appreciate your efforts. I know you don't have much to work with when it comes to me haha

We represent only 1% of the world's population so I know your job is not easy. Nor can you play God or wave a magic wand.
Just keep putting me in front of good guys! And to my fellow gay men... have faith. The right man is coming!

Greetings from Hong Kong! I hired a matchmaker just before joining gayquation and was charged (you don't want to know) an exorbitant amount. Gayquation on the contrary is quite reasonable. My matchmaker spoke to me for 1 1/2 hours via Skype. People expect so much from service that are supposed to deliver you men? Haha I am realistic and was pleasantly surprised. It is not easy being out as a Chinese man, even here in more liberalized HK, let alone finding Caucasian men open to dating me. Thank you for the hope.

A quick thank you to my coach and matchmaker Nicholas P. - who has been a tremendous on my personal life, including outside Gayquation. He is attentive, honest (sometimes too honest), and above all else a hard worker. I did happen to find a partner while using his services but he was a big reason in finding him. His advice is invaluable and will still keep the coaching service as it's nice to talk to someone, especially early in a relationship and after 10 years of being in one. I also don't have any gay friends so good to bounce ideas off him and get honest but sensitive critiques. Xoxo Gordon
