I have been a fromages.com customer for years and have never been disappointed. The best cheeses form all over France (and other European countries) delivered in perfect shape with mind blowing flavors. I'm French, I know good cheeses, and I live in the US. I've used their services over the last 2-3 years and it's more miss than hit. This company is typical of what some French would describe as successful. They've been in business since 1997 and sell usually well aged good cheese but the buck stops here. Everything else around the products is a dud starting with their new and redesigned website.
Poor quality/wrong shipping boxes, a simple layer of ice packs on top and nothing around despite my numerous emails, notes when ordering, and phone calls, spotty delivery by FEDEX (that's not their fault), and spottier customer service if one can call it that.
The only thing they have going for themselves is that they're the only ones I know of selling real and good/decent French cheeses. I don't know how they managed to legally import cheeses made with unpasteurized milk but they do and that makes the difference.
As of today, 2/16/2025 12:25pm, I'm still waiting for my box to be delivered in sunny FL while it's 78* outside, and know it won't be here on time for tonight's dinner party.
This will be my last time with those bozoes more than likely. Good cheese isn't worth that level of aggravation!

My first delivery arrived inedible after a week in transit. Cheeses were covered in slime. The customer support has not responded for over a week.

The packaging is wasteful, plastic/styrofoam/foil/gel which cannot be reused or recycled. It is also bigger than necessary.

I was very excited about this order, spent over $100 on it. I planned on it to arrive on a specific day, followed its path, signed up for alerts on the delivery. Got home to a tag on the door from FedEx. I frantically called them, and they informed me that a signature was required, which I was unaware of. They offered to drop off the package on their way back to the station, since it was food. The package arrived melted and had a horrifying smell. I contacted the company and their response was to make a note next time to nor require a signature; however FedEx informed me that it was their policy to never leave packages at the door - so I am confused. Recommend they use dry ice like ButcherBox, where the food always arrives perfectly at my doorstep. Out $100 and very sad.

I ordered a cheese package and left specific delivery instructions. Those instructions were apparently not relayed to the delivery company. My cheeses arrived hot and melted. Fromages is doing nothing to rectify this. They are taking no responsibility for NOT relaying my specific delivery instructions. Also, I requested a gift message with my order, it was not in the package. And fromages used provide information cards about the cheeses. There were no cards in my package. I have ordered from fromages and the past and have seen their service gradually decline. I have been in contact with a customer service rep and a manager. Neither have offered an apology or a soluton to this problem. This is the final straw for me. I will no longer do business with this company.

First they sent en email saying that my card is not going through. I canceled that order. Three days after that they charged my card again. I called my bank and told them about fraud on my account. Those french scumbags sent me an email with some jibberish about my refund. I never got my refund $318 plus they charged me $20 on top of 318 dollars. So be aware of these criminals. This is not legitimate company, they are bunch of hard core criminals stealing your money.
