I've been very pleased with Freshly so far! There have only been a couple of selections that I haven't liked, but for no reason other than they contained spices that I'm not fond of. The meals come at a predictable time every week. Portions are ample. Meals are delicious. Price is reasonable. Packaging is excellent! The only problem I might have is that the 'use by' dates fall a couple days short of the next shipment. However, even though they discourage it, I've not had any problems with freezing the meals to have at a later date.
I really like the service, taste, and quality of the meals. A few meals could be improved such as the bar-b-q, but generally the meals fantastic. They are convenient, quick and easy, nutritional with quality ingredients.

I think the food you guys make is incredible. Absolutely love the meals and they always taste great. My only gripe about it is that the meals aren't the most filling. After I get home from a long day of work, I love looking forward to a delicious meal to scarf down. Unfortunately, I'm just about always hungry for more and always consider making more food!
Love the brand and what they stand for, just wish there was a bit more weight to each dish.

We are very busy, but still like to eat well. We tried other meal delivery services that we loved, but realized how much time the meals took to prepare and then clean up after. Freshly solves both those issues. And I have to admit that I was a little leery about microwave meals, fearing they would be mush. I don't know how they do it, but the meals are certainly not mush. They come out like a fresh-cooked meal. Even the veggies are perfectly done!

I love the convenience and the food is very good. If I had one complaint it would be I wish there were more choices. I do have my favorites to be sure but it would be nice if there were a few more options.

I enjoy the flavors of Freshly, but I often find Im still hungry afterwards! Also, the menu is still limited so we end up eating the same stuff.

I always fought the idea of getting ready made meals delivered cause I like to cook.
But with my work schedule, lack of time, using freshly has really helped with eating a great meal with the just the right amount of calories.

A good mix of tasty food options. It is great that you can filter by allergies or foods you are avoiding. Although, the list of options dwindles to just a few if you are avoiding dairy or starches like rice, potatos, etc.
It is a little frustrating that if you want to change your delivery settings (e.g. Number of meals per week or day of delivery) it takes 3 weeks to be in effect. This makes no sense since you can skip weeks... if I can skip a week and have it be effective for next weeks order, I should be able to change my delivery settings, too, for next weeks order.
Similarly, if you want to cancel the subscription, you cannot just click a button, you have to email, instant message or call the company. If we can subscribe with the click of a button on an app, we should be able to unsubscribe the same way.
Overall, it is a convenient service, though.
I love to eat but dont love to cook. However, going out to eat can get expensive. Freshly is like having an at home chef. Great food (steak peppercorn is my fave!), costs less than restaurants, and I dont even have to leave the house. Does it get better than that?!?
I love Freshly. It fits into my hectic schedule and allows variety in meals. My only complaint is that I wish some of the options were lower carb.

Currently, we have carbohydrate options that go as low as 16 grams per meal (12 grams of net carbs), and we recently launched a sort tool on the 'edit meals' page, which allows you to sort by carbohydrates from lowest to highest to find meals that fit your dietary preferences and goals!
I don't understand how the reviews on here are so good, the food was so disgusting it was borderline inedible. I threw away 6 out of the 12 meals I ordered. It tasted like cheap fast food or high school cafeteria food. My toddler wouldn't even eat it. YUCK!

Love Freshly so much but I think more menu options would be helpful or maybe something rotating every now and then. Overtime, Im starting tonoose appetite with the limited options that i have. Overall, its great! Keep it up. Love it.

My first few deliveries were placed at my door, as they should be.
Then a delivery was left in the lobby of my building next to the open front door.
Assuming this was a one-time anomaly, I said nothing, but the next package was left in the lobby again.
I contacted Freshly and specifically told them that the package needed to be delivered to my door, and not left in the lobby where it could be taken by anyone.
Sure enough, the next week my food didnt show up. Freshly says it was delivered, which tells me Ontrac, the worst delivery service in the world, left it in the lobby again and it was stolen.
Its really too bad that I have to give Freshly such a low rating, since the food was all great, but theyre the ones who chose to use an incompetent and lazy delivery service.
I'm so sorry again, Grant, for the trouble with your most recent deliveries! I'm certainly glad I was able to assist, and I hope we'll be able to make this up to you on your next delivery!

The meals taste delicious. They are easy and quick to prepare. You have the flexibility to change your order or skip an order. For anyone who doesnt want to cook dinner, this is great.
I do wish that I had the option to select different vegetables.

We have enjoyed the meals we have gotten from Freshly. They are good "old-fashioned" cooking but low in carbs and gluten-free. I am gluten free but my husband has enjoyed the meals even tho he is not GF. They are delivered the same day and mostly same time every week.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
