The food has been delicious and very convenient for my family! I do wish there were more options to choose from and slightly bigger portions. I would definitely recommend Freshly for people who are looking for easy and healthy meals!
Freshly has made it possible to get great meals without the work. I love to cook, but sometimes I dont feel like cooking a meal myself, or Ive run out of time and energy. Freshly allows me to eat well without the hard work and time. None of that cardboard taste from the frozen food selection. Delivered right to my door. Perfect!
Getting meals from Freshly has been great so far. I am not a huge fan of cooking, but I also don't like to eat out much for health reasons. Freshly has taken some of the stress off when it comes to meal planning, prep and cooking. I love that the meals are clean and healthy. I do wish they added new meals to the menu more often!
I have ordered this service for my elderly parents. So far they really enjoy the food. We are supposed to confirm meal choices by Thursday afternoon for the upcoming week. My folks were late in getting back to me and the system automatically repeated the previous week choices. I emailed Freshly and Marge S. Called me back within 15 minutes. She allowed me to make some changes for the upcoming week. I greatly appreciate her help and the companies responsiveness. Thank you.
Michael, I'd let customers change their meals whenever they wished to, but as you know we don't freeze meals so we have to give our kitchen enough time to prep, cook and then deliver your parents their meals. I think its awesome because I am not a cook. These meals are usually amazing. Still trying new things outside my normal comfort zone. Love the fact its just heat and eat, no prep work. If I had to pick a negative, the only thing I can come up with is maybe the price. Not that its not a great overall product and experience, just that its more pricier than I am used to paying for a meal.

Stacy helped me follow up with some delayed meals and cancelled the order when it appeared they would not be safe to eat upon delivery. She worked to get me a refund and some additional credit for the added inconvenience.

Enjoy opening the fridge & having selections of prepared meals to choose from that I know are gluten-free, healthy, and safe for me to eat. I wish there were more seafood options, and more options other than chicken in general.

I have been using Freshly for a little over a month now and, while not every dish fit my palate, everything has still been wonderfully prepared. Most of the meals I have had have been great and more than a few have been positively fantastic. All this at a cost per meal that really works wonderfully for me.
I had one incident where I received the wrong meal. The sleeve did not match the meal inside. Customer service was amazing and they resolved my concerns very quickly and with a friendly attitude.
I have referred multiple people to the service and will continue to do so!
The food is ridiculously delicious. Comes super fast and there are a wide range of entree choices.
Portion sizes are huge, but extremely healthy. If I am not working out a ton, I will eat 1/2 to 2/3 of the meal and save the rest for later or share the meal.
Breakfasts are awesome - the omelettes. Haven't tried the oatmeal ones yet.
I receive an order that was completely wrong, never happened before and I'm not too upset as I know we will love these meals to but was looking forward to a few that I had specifically ordered. I contacted customer service via chat and within 10-15 minutes it was all sorted out and they kindly credited me for the order without me even asking, because as I said the meals will not go to waste. The process was extremely easy and quick!

This eating experience has been the best! The meals are very tasty, fresh and easy to prepare! Microwave for 1 to 2 minute's! It's as if you're eating in a nice restaurant! And did I mention... they're good for you!
The food is very good. I appreciated knowing that when I got home from a hard day at work I could pop one of these in the microwave and I would have a good, nutritious meal ready in less than 2 minutes. These are above and beyond the microwave dinners you buy at the grocery store. Yes, they cost more but, in my opinion, they're worth it.
I enjoyed Freshly very much! However, I am away from home most weekends, and by the time I get home, the meals were melted, and had to be thrown away because they are delivered on Saturdays.
I contacted Freshly by phone and asked them if they could please change deliveries to Monday. The woman I spoke with said yes, and gave me an effective date, but Freshly continued to deliver on Saturdays beyond the effective date. After two weekends of throwing my deliveries away, I was forced to cancel. It's very unfortunate.
What's more, when I wrote to Freshly with my explanation for cancelling (and suggesting how to remedy the situation), they just went ahead and cancelled me, never seeming to want to budge from Saturday deliveries.
So, if you're not home many weekends, DON'T get Freshly! From my experience, they can't (or are unwilling to) alter the dates.
Hi Henry, thanks so much for taking the time to review our service! I'm so sorry for any troubles with the delivery day, though I'm happy to help with this. From my understanding, it sounds like we were able to make the switch to Mondays, however, the change does need a few weeks to take effect due to factors like kitchen availability and carrier capacity. Of course, once you get on those Monday deliveries, that would be permanent and you're more then welcome to skip weeks until you're able to receive the desired delivery day.

I decided to try Freshly after spending a year or two trying other food delivery/cook at home systems. They were much too time consuming and as a single person I had to eat every recipe two to three times. For roughly the same price per meal, I get a much more variety in my weekly meals and my time back! I would highly recommend Freshly to anyone!

Nic did a great job of handling my customer service inquiry, via the chat box. My box had not been delivered. He conducted a thorough check and found that it was still in transit to my address. Therefore the food would not be suitable for consumption.
Nic was able to refund my money and give me a coupon towards my next purchase. I am thankful for his efficient service!

I had to contact customer service through the Freshly app text chat due to a meal that went bad prior to the expiration date. There was a bit of a wait, but once Kobe started texting, his responses were quick, and he was very apologetic. I was refunded the money for all 6 meals. Despite this unfortunate event, I do appreciate the apology and poise of the representative, Kobe.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
