As a client did not pay me and did not respond to the messages of the Freelancer Staff, Criselda of the Support Team now told me, that she will take respective actions on the clients account. Of course, this does not help me in my issue with my client, but I am glad, that Freelancer takes care of people, who do not fulfill their responsibilities.
It was easy and clear to communicate with Magenta S.
I had a great experience with the support representative. They were very helpful, patient, and responsive throughout our interaction. Thank you for the excellent support!
I had a pleasant and productive conversation with Criselda, who helped resolve my issue with payment and transaction history. Her assistance was efficient, and I appreciate the support provided.
Magenta S. Did a great job and solved my problem quickly.
I had call with Russell V., which was an amazing experience to talk. Everything was conveyed and explained it very well. The process was very clear and straight forward.
Thank you
Kind and friendly interview with Jonny, he answered all my questions and reposted the important points to me.
I have had a great experience chatting with Jonny, He is very professional and ethical. Best member of the staff
Jonny was very helpful and answered my questions regarding my participation in the rising star program. Thank you for all of this.
I'm a senior AI engineer with over 6 years of experience in the field, and I've been freelancing for more than 4 years. My main strengths lie in Generative AI, particularly in creating visual content (like with Stable Diffusion) and developing language models (such as LLMs). I also have a strong Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP) background. I'm excited about the opportunity to share knowledge, and learn from you guys,
Highly professional and very solid set of guidelines that are perfect to follow and keep the laymen away from the battle ground. Skilled professionals and trust worthy clients should be the ones to work with. Freelancer makes sure of that and helps us in the long run to access the best and deliver most high quality work.
Very helpful and straight to the point, didn't waste a single second
I needed help with a file removal/search result takedown request. Xavier B took the time to look into the issue for me and was very helpful.
Jayce L. Was of great help. He took time to understand the issue and then requested for my tax statement from the relevant team. He assured me to send me the statement within 1 business day. Thanks again for the help.
I have been working here for a long time. I follow the rules and regulations. The best part is that any issues are resolved promptly. In my opinion, It's one of the best platforms.
Criselda helped me figure out how to pay for a negative balance incurred on my account. This was due to a subscription for membership I forgot about.
Tonight, I had an excellent experience chatting with Nicola, who addressed all my concerns regarding the status of one of my projects. The interaction was highly professional, and by the end of our conversation, I had a clear understanding of my project's status. I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire support team, with special thanks to Nicola for her exceptional assistance."
I'm designer with 10 years experience. It was very hard for me to find a job. All jobs that interest me get over 50 proposals from better rated designers with low price, which means 0 chance for me to get the job. I also need to write a long paragraph with over 100 words to place a bid, I know it is important for customer to read it, but I'm not good at writing a long paragraph about my self.
I cannot afford to spend a long time on it. Since I already have a full time job. I wanted to use this platform to get a job quickly for weekends, so I tried the free month trial, but it takes too much time, and 0 chance to get job, because there are so many designers and few jobs.
Other than that the positif point is that the platform is easy to use.The search commande is very helpful to find a suitable job.
I also enjoyed the customer service, the lady was very nice to me and very understanding, she helped me get refunded because I didn't give my consent to upgrade membership plus After the free trial.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
