My friends and I really love the Kitchen however we cannot take Jeff M anymore. He is so forced, immature and not funny. The show would be much better without. Turning off until hes replaced.
I have a question and also feedback.
1. Why are there so many reruns, Trisha Yearwood and Pioneer Women particularly, reruns repeat constantly. We need more variety in cooks and new shows.
2. Can you please replaced Chopped and Cupcakes wars? They are getting really old, and chopped repeats same episodes frequently.
3. The Kitchen is a great show, except for the overtly phoney Katie Lee.
4. Love the new valerie Bertinelli show. Dislike Real Girl kitchen, Tara Morey and Rev Run. Really bad programming. I used to like this station more in the past.
5. And my biggest gripe - Giada DeLaurentas. So tired of seeing that phony smile 3 hours a day on two different networks!
OVERBEARING, AND EXTREMELY LOUD MOUTHS. The cast act like a bunch of loud children playing at pretend. They are VERY ANNOYING to watch, and listen too. I have deleted watching this program completely!
The Food Network and Cooking Channel have left the building... simple as that. The completions are sophomoric, celeberty cooks are are merely assembling and pretending to entertain, which is just plain lame!
I want the likes of Ann Burrel, Alton Brown, Kelsey Nixon, Melissa D'Arabia back! And not in the form of some absurd competition, either! Or Tyler Florence, when health ally cooked... he was amazing. I do not wants see him "coach" food trucks! What's waste of talent. I can enjoy the Pioneer Woman, somewhat, but prefer Deb and Gabrielle's ExtraVirgin because their back story is more food oriented (as is Italy, which a food paradise!). These channels are becoming a waste of time. There is no set line up, just a hodgepodge of you get what get. DIsappointing! :(
I remember loving the Food Network. There were lots of interesting cooking shows, but no more! It's mostly "reality" type shows for Millennial's.
Oh well, C'est la vie to the wonderful past!
Fieri, Flay, Giada onscreen ad nauseum. The Kitchen - eliminate Jeff (goofball) and Sunny (boisterous, uncouth, and greedy). Stop the FAWNING over GZ. (If he chops celery, it's the most perfectly chopped they have ever seen.). Some of the recipes are pedestrian. Valued most are tips, recipes from Ina, Rachael, Damaris, Bobby (on his show, not competing). Sadly reality shows taken over. Please listen to viewers.
I really like watching FoodNetwork, but last few times, I was disappointed because those recipes doesn't meet reality. And those tv shows, you can see a lot of drama going on there.
I love watching the Food Network shows but when it comes to minority Chefs on 'Chopped', walking away with the $10k unfortunately is NOT going to happen as long as Alex Guarnaschelli sits as a judge. You can actually hear the animosity in her voice and thats a shame. She needs to judge righteously or be 'Chopped ' as a judge.
My god, how could a show get any worse than this? Flay and Simon are just going thru the motions for a pay check. Where did they find these horrible judges and contestants... please kill this garbage
You now have another new program on Saturday, "Mary Makes it Easy" where did you get this one? Another person who talks with her mouth full. The only person that has the proper manners and etiquette is Ina Garten,. She never talks with her mouth full and doesn't have to eat everything she makes we don't need to see that, we know if something is good by how people are making it we don't need a dissertation on it. Ina knows how to speak clearly with proper English she doesn't fall into your cookie cutter other Cooks who all have the same lingo when they speak about the food overused words such as delicious, yum etc. Do you think your viewers are that stupid that you have to dummy down like this. Maybe you should let these people be themselves instead of directing them to all be the same,. Apparently Ina Garten doesn't follow. Their unique personality is probably what got them the job let them be themselves not copies of each other. Good example The pioneer woman was wonderful when she first started out now you got her talking and acting like all the others. I stopped watching her a long time ago when she changed and so did a lot of my friends.
OK first of all. I just watched Sunny Anderson from The Kitchen smother a piece of corn in butter and dip it in crushed doritos chips. And yesterday I watched Trisha cook eggs in the microwave. Please can someone tell me how this is considered cooking. Also, can someone tell me why every person on food network is white? Ree Drummond, Bobby Flay, Ann Burell, Geoffrey Zakarian, ina garden, gordon ramsay, guy fiery, Hannah Hart, rachel ray, the new ugly red headed guy who eats disgustingly large portions of food (and for some reason people watch it) and my least favorite, trisha. I think that instead of most of these people who cook by using the microwave and doritos, they should be replaced by grandmothers of all different backgrounds. Grandma's are the ones who know the most about food and cook the meals we all want to try. PLEASE i'm tired of watching recipes for ice box cakes and deviled eggs. I hate them

Comments are almost angry. She mentions during this episode that she doesn't cut onions like a chef because its stupid.Other episodes, she's commented on the height of the oven saying that "could this oven be any higher? I'm short!" but not in a humorous way. Then again with the pre-cut ingredients on the counter most likely prepared by the staff, saying "could it be any farther away" and not in a humorous tone. She's become cranky and harsh. (and not that looks should matter at all, but she's noticeably changing and looks like she just doesn't care). I saw her treat a recent guest horribly. I used to enjoy the Food Network, but l think they've run their course in terms of quality. It was the only relief from the bad news and politics on TV, and a great compliment to my hobby as a cook.
Will not watch her on ABC in the morning on "Rachel Ray" or on the Food Network where quality cooking and cooks/chefs have taken a nose dive. Bummer.
Anytime Foodnetwork chopped is on... I immediately change to that channel... UNTIL. I realize Martha Stewart is a judge... then I immediately change to another channel... reason being... not that she was jailed for insider trading... but that she didn't know $#*! about cooking until her "employees" created recipes and taught her how to cook them. While all the time she was a $#*! to them... I'M OUT AND WILL FOREVER BE ON ON CHOPPED AS LONG AS THIS $#*! IS A JUDGE... too bad... I watched chopped probably 20+ times a week... YOU JUST LOST A VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER BECAUSE OF YOUR CHOICE OF JUDGES... mainly ones that don't give 2 $#*!s about their employees... it's all about their $#*!ing egos!@
Chopped Kitchen - You say the basket ingredients are "Mandatory" twi e at beginig of every episode. Then you say it isn't if judges take a dislike to chef. How can you justify leting contestant that forgets or leaves out ingredient continue then eliminate another for forgetting one and say that is reason - two faced. Most of these chefs could make great dishes if you let them leave out a off rhe wall ingredient. The ultimate was watching a chef that left out ingredient in one round win the championship... then 10 minutes later watch you eliminate a chef tbat left out ingredient and move on one that no judge would even eat the dish in same round. Ingredients are optional or they are not.
Valarie Bertinelli for Christmas was horrible. She is not a cook and should not have a show. OFFENSIVE talking about the cookies she made (rainbow) ones. The remark of Italians not in good taste and she sucks on a cooking show she is fake. She needs to go on the show alone because her Mom did not help the show at all. She needs to stay a judge or back acting. She is and insults to the wonderful cooks on the cooking shows out there. She is trying to act like Giada and she is a class act no one can fill her shoes. Along with the other chefs.
I love the show chopped but one of the major issues or areas of opportunities is their lack of diverse representation. From the staff to the actual chef participants, there's never enough representation. This lack of representation, specially black and people of color from a judging perspective allows for judging biases that prevent potential chefs from winning. Prime example, I just watched an episode where Martha Stewart was a guest judge and there was an Asian chef who prepared a curry dish with lamb and was voted off because her dish was "too spicy". To be honest, I think there needs a variety of judges representing various cultures and communities because their version of spicy levels could have been very different than the original judges just based off of cultural differences. Moral to the story, chopped would be even better to watch if they actually had judges from the black and brown communities and I know there's representation out there, there just needs to be a proactive effort to find them.
My husband and I really enjoy a number of shows on the Food Network, HOWEVER, we are sick and tired of the EXTREMELY irritating and nerve wracking continuous background music, especially when contestants and judges are talking! It's so obnoxious and irritating that we sometimes can't watch a program to the end! Also, we truly enjoyed watching The Kitchen when Sunny Anderson was gone for awhile. She's very annoying! Thank you very much for your attention to this critique.
I mostly just watch in the morning- its the only time you can actually see a cooking show.when the competition shows start- the channel changes.same chefs over and over.it sucks anymore
I can't believe you are canceling Valerie Bertinelli show which is a great show and instead you force Alex G down our throat. Alex has no personality and is awkward and her interaction with other people. But we keep her, even though her viewing audience is not good. But we cancel Valerie Bertinelli, who is easy to listen to easy to watch and easy to see her interaction with other people. Is anybody home? I have stopped watching Food Network and started watching the Cooking Channel. I've had all the Bobby, Flay and Guy, Fieri, and Alex going to Alex G I can take. Is anybody home?
Food network should never have a (thief) Martha Stewart on their show. Google Martha Stewart if you have forgotten what she went to jail for. Sorry I can't watch this.
Answer: I agree! So boring. I used to try.to cook recipes but it's gotten truly silly.
Answer: Get rid of by the rude Overeating NO MANNER PIG SUNNY ANDERSON!
Answer: Well if you want to be taken seriously then learn how o spell that is first! What is "standers"? Do you mean "STANDARDS"? And it is NOT "lier" it is "liar".
Answer: She yells every time she opens her mouth. Says "know what I'm saying..." incessantly, purports crappy recipes, talks with her mouth full, and attacks every concoction like a starved dog. What's not to like?
The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.
