DODGY AS HELL
September 17, 2022

RUN PEOPLE, DONT WALK! **DESPICABLE** Flannels, as a kid, I remember coming to your store on St Anne's Sq with my Mother in the 90s, so we could shop for nice things, I am horrified by the recent, despicable service I have received as an online buyer. I bought an item, paid for next day delivery for my partners 50th birthday, an item arrived the next day, but not what I had ordered, in fact, remarkably different and remarkably cheaper, then, I realise I cannot call you, I have to online chat to organise a resolution, I was told it would take 24-48 hours for you to check your packing room CCTV, I sent you immediate pictures of the item I had received, and asked that you ensure I get the item I had paid for by Thursday with an apology, none of which happened, two weeks later I am embroiled in a PayPal dispute, I should have believed the shocking reviews, you really are a bottom rung company, in your service and customer care, everybody working there must be horrified by what they have to deal with by way of disgruntled, disgusted customers, I have placed this review everywhere I can, and trust me, everyone that will listen has heard of the outrageous sham you are running. Of course, I have boycotted Sports Direct and House of Fraser. RUN PEOPLE, DONT WALK!

Poor customer service
September 15, 2023

I purchased a pair of moschino mesh trainers, (cost £235) I had worn the shoes 12-15 occasions the sole on left shoe had come away and the right was also starting to fail, I had owned the shoes just over 13 month's but as stated above had very little use only wearing for special occasions, was cleaned and stored
Correctly after each use. Contacted customer service The trainer's are still in warranty, they advised me to return the trainer's and they would be inspected. The trainer's was returned and with a letter saying wear and tear! The trainer's are still in excellent condition other than the soles that have come away and are unusable. When I received the trainer's back I was not happy with this conclusion as the trainer's are like new but are unusable. I contacted customer services again and was advised to get a independent opinion which I did, I got two written independent inspections done with both coming to the same conclusion the glue had failed and this was not due to wear and tear. I then got back in-touch with customer service and was told they would not except the two independent inspections as they wasn't on letter headed paper even though they was signed and had contact details to verify. Customer services then said I would need a official independent inspection from timpsons, I proceed to do this and timpsons customer service said they where not willing to do it for legal reasons. I now have have two independent written inspection, a timpsons employee in agreement this is NOT WEAR AND TEAR it is a fault with the glue. The situation is very frustrating I've Lost so much time running around jumping through the hoops flannels have requested, constantly moving the goal posts to avoid a refund or replacement. I have now hit a brick wall Which I believe was the intention of flannels from the start.
All in all very disappointed with the whole experience and I advise people to think carefully before spending hard your earned money with flannels.

AWFUL - Fraudulent - STAY AWAY
December 29, 2022

Ordered an Acquia di Parma item and when the item was received it was in an unsealed box and a cheap hand cream inside. I provided numerous pieces evidence to them to provide they have supplied my goods in an unsealed box etc but no, they have concluded their investigation stated the goods were checked on dispatch... how if the box should have been sealed! This was also a Christmas present and would have been extremely embarrassing on Christmas Day had I of not checked. When i tried to express my upset on the phone i was told to not talk over them and was completely shut down. Someone within Flannels or your supply chain partner (DPD) is either fraudulent or negligent. Having looked at trust pilot last night, i was very concerned about how Flannels handle there complains and the 'fob off/ generic emails' customers have received when flagging incidents like this, i decide to go and have a look today at other retailers to see how the item should be received when new. I quickly found that the way in which I received my item wasn't right.

They told me they checked CCTV at the warehouse and the item was checked before dispatch and the item opened to check the correct item was inside! HOW. The item is meant to be sealed? Its a face cream and should be sealed! Which completely contradicts the whole argument.

I was so upset with the response I was receiving when talking to them I could only get upset and angry and ended the call calling them frauds because that exactly how it feels. I ordered these goods in good faith, and they are calling me lair and that i've done this. I am a customer and somewhere in their supply chain someone has been dishonest, and they are putting the blame on me. Something like this has never ever happened to me before, I've always received the correct items. If you are a honest person stay well away from online ordering you will only be upset. You only have to look at the numerous complaints of this nature.

I was really shocked with the tone of the person on the phone, giving me an robotic scripted response, i asked to speak to someone else and was told no. I work for a large retailer and this is not the way you treat any customer. I will be continuing to share this experience online.

Flannels - you have just wronged a very honest person. I appreciate in this world their are dishonest people, but i am not one of them. Shocking..

Don't shop at Flannels!
November 6, 2021

I bought a £220 Jasmine perfume from the Dior stall in Flannel's Meadowhall, Sheffield. I have never heard of Flannels or shopped at Flannels before so I was unaware of their return policy.

I was dissatisfied with the perfume because although the tester smelled nice, the scent did not last all day and was very weak for such a pricey perfume. I could not smell the perfume on me when I got home. So the next day, I went back to the store and found another Jasmine perfume for half the price, £110. I asked if I could exchange the perfume and be refunded the difference. As soon as I said the word "Refund" it was immediately an issue. The manager on duty called other staff over and said they normally don't do refunds. She tried to refund me but was unable to. (training needed?) And she was also unsure of how to give me a credit note. So I had to come back another day hoping that the next manager on duty could help me.

When I returned, they informed me that they could only give me store credit due to their no-returns policy which they did not tell me about. Even giving me store credit, they were being funny with me saying, "We can give you store credit but we shouldn't." There were no signs up in the store to warn unsuspecting customers. It only shows on the receipt after you bought the item and cannot return it. Pretty much all the stores in Meadowhall allow returns/refunds (unless maybe for sale items with large signs up) so I was shocked to find out I could not get a refund. I had no choice but to accept the £110 credit note which was given to me on a poor quality paper receipt which is fading. It is valad for 2 years but will not last that long.

I had already spent up to £500 in-store on make-up, skin care and perfume so I did not want anything else from Flannels. I gave the perfume back in perfect condition in all original packaging but they did not want to give my money back.

For this reason, I do not trust this store and will never shop from them again. I was made to feel intimidated by asking for a refund, unprofessional service and I feel they are very sneaky, misleading and not honest with their customers by not having signs up in their stores and not making it clear to customers that there are NO RETURNS. Whatever you buy from them, you are stuck with. They sell very expensive designer items worth over £1,000 so someone could get screwed over worse than me.

Don't even bother contacting customer service as they will not help you. They will only blame you that it's your responsibility to know Flannels return policy and that you need to sort it out with the store you bought the item from. Absolutely useless! They also insisted that the store had signs up but I have been to the store 3 times regarding this issue and God knows I was looking for those signs and I did not see any. Even the staff could not show me where they had a sign up. THERE WERE NO SIGNS UP! (Trading Standards need to look into this place!)
