Most of those who sit offering their services on Fiverr are scammers. They think everything through in such a way that you will believe them and the stupid Fiverr staff will also believe them and will not return your paid money. Scam site. Please spread this information and do not use this platform.
If your forget your log in details you will get caught in this endless loop of incompetence. There's no escape, not even a way to contact the customer support. This alone will prevent me from ever spending money with this monumental $#*! up of a website. When I finally was able to google a method to contact customer support I was informed that there was a high volume of request, what a surprise! Sort it out for $#*! sake.
I think it's a great new business model. I've bought some gigs and, although the quality of services is not consistent, I repute this website to be a great source of cheap freelance work. Its diversity is impressive and, if I may say, one great point to improve would be ensuring the quality and trustworthiness of users and their gigs. Obviously I don't know which technical solution would be able to handle this, but Fiverr could grow into THE reference for freelance buyers and sellers if they could guarantee quality and reliability with 99.9% certainty.
After a year on fiverr as both seller and buyer, I have to conclude that fiverr is just cheating both buyers and sellers.
As a buyer, refunds are not being made to credit card or PayPal - unless you raise it with your bank or PayPal. A process which might take another four weeks.
As a seller, fiverr might block your funds even after customers gave you a 5* review and marked the order as compete.
Taking 20 % commission and having to wait for 2 weeks (+3 days if order is not marked as complete) to be paid should make competent customer support affordable.
I contracted a freelancer to promote a YouTube video. He stated he would get it viral over a 5 day exposure to over ******* people.
The first day it got about 3500 views. The second day 1200 of those had been removed by YouTube, probably because of the use of bots instead of real accounts. The third day it dropped another 800 views! And it stayed there for the remainder.
He then had the gull to say the job was completed and collected the payment.
2000 vies is hardly what I would call viral.
I complained to customer service at Fiverr and got a "that's between you and the seller" response and that they did not guarantee in any way customer satisfaction.
I have since cancelled my account and will never use them again.
I have been on Fiverr seeking employment as a virtual assistant. I continue to get messages from people overseas with broken English who just want to waste my time! I will take my expertise elsewhere.
It took me many months before I could start making sales and just when I did; fiverr had to request for my ID which I presented. They said I was not the owner despite seeing the name on my id card and profile. I guess i don't have to look same in a pic i took 2-3 years ago. Finally i was signed out and lost my earnings. Requirements sucks.
Fiverr is a buyer facing platform that treats freelancers with complete contempt. I rarely leave reviews but in this case I feel the reality is not being reported enough, and feel like I should. From bad customer support through to sellers being open to blackmail from buyers.
Sellers are unable to stop buyers from placing an order and if an order is unrealistic or the buyer has misunderstood, it is always the seller that is penalised by the stats system which awards 'Levels'
Impossible to get support from the website staff, generic responses and most of the time completely ignored.
It's fair to say through a 20% cut the website takes, I have made this company a fair amount of money and can honestly say have never been treated worse.
Fiverr customer service officers do not support sellers in any ways at all! Never waste your time and degrade yourself as a seller there. They believe the buyer without concerning themselves with the actual truth. Please think thrice if you are planning to sell your service there.
Buyer can walk away with the free copy of your work when the order is cancelled which is exactly what happened to me. Buyers can ask for extra work or change to a brand new piece of work without paying extra fees, and when you refuse, the buyer either leaves a bad review or request the resolution Centre to cancel the order, quoting that you are not qualified to do his work and the officer will just go ahead and cancel the order on his behalf.
Fiverr does not respond to customer complaints before 5 days the least. There is no phone number listed either for customer service.
Fiverr does not control quality of the IT (illustrators) freelancers it allows to open up accounts. In my case where an illustrator posed to know 2 and 3D illustration and promoted it on his profile there, was highly unqualified to do the work and could not deliver after making 3 attempts for over 9 days.
I am not satisfied with Fiverr and the freelancers it has on it website and after complaining on time and numerous times, it has decided not to return my 157 dollars and the company suggests that I give the freelancer "more time" when it's not a matter of time, rather performance!
The customer client don`t care about the buyers. I had one trouble with one order and they told me to sort it out with the seller, but seller had block me on the Fiverr, and the person from the customer support is like an robot asking same question and giving the same answers. So be careful before accepting a delivery from any buys you make. You might have a nasty surprise after...
System is rigged to take and hold onto your money. Both buyers and sellers pay high fees. Buyers cannot withdraw money if a job gets cancelled and refunded. Sellers have to wait two weeks to receive payments for completed work. It's 2020, this is not a technical limitation. It's a very poor ethics decision. Would leave a zero star rating if I could.
While I like the fact that people can get low budget professional services, I think $5 is an insulting amount to pay someone in today's marketplace.
At that rate, if the project takes 2 hours you are paying the person $2.5 an hour. That's slave wages. The site takes 20% of earnings, so a seller is really earning just $4, or $2 an hour.
I believe that, even if it takes an hour or less, it takes advantage of hardworking people.
I believe people working on the site should get at least $10. Five dollars is an insult.
It is virtually impossible to contact support if (and when) you have a problem with a seller, and from I can tell a seller can then block you from contacting them, once you realise they are not delivering what you have paid for. May only be $5 bucks, but its a total waste of $5! You are left with the fiverr website that goes around in "contact us circles" and nothing else…. Total waste of money.
So I contacted Fiverr to get favorites on my Etsy store. Pay them and almost automatically get an email response stating " they could not fulfill my order because they were out of town" what? Really? I was told I would be refunded. Ha ha not refunded but credited back to my Fiverr account. And of course no customer service, no email reply. Stupid me. Never again. Check out the fiverr reviews, I wish I had
I am a graphic designer Photoshop artist. I came to this site last year to freelance. Little did I know disappointment was waiting for me. Fiverr has too many graphic designers and you wont make anything on it because many are doing the same thing at low, average or high price (that's if you are a graphic designer). Further more people would only look for gigs with higher ratings and reviews.
If you are a designer, I advise you not to try this site you wont make money. Also the buyers request is totally useless. They won't even remove the request if the buyers had their request already taken.
I have actually had a very good experience with this site. It is a buyers beware but peer reviews can help you weed out the bad ones. I just wouldn't spend a lot of money with anyone until they have proven they can do the work... for $5 that's not so bad.
I have used fiverr for video greeting, birthday video, logo modification and business copy. All experiences were executed efficiently and the product delivered was excellent in all but one situation - where the service provider was easy to work with resolving the issue. I would definitely consider for future needs.
I bought a web development project on Fiverr and it was excellent. The seller was great at keeping my site safe and secure. They also paid a lot of attention to my needs and made a website that was exactly what I wanted. The site was top quality, looking good, user friendly and fast on all machines. The seller was easy to communicate with and always on time. Plus the price was very reasonable for the high quality service I received. Would recommend if you need a website project done.
My Vendor promised a working set of construction drawing and I she failed to product anything of vaule and Fiverr Customer service is worthless. They do nothing and take no measures to help you get what you paid for Stay far away from them
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
