I used FishingBooker to look for a Captain & Guide on Pelican Lake at Breezy Point. I researched all the Captains listed for that area. I considered their pricing, the size of the boat, plus whether or not they could walk to with someone like me who is handicap. I picked Captain Louie. Last week on the 27th Louie picked me up at the hotel I was at! I had a great time. FishingBooker made that possible!
It was awsome, it was one of my bucklist. The crew was friendly and always willing to help in anyway. Boat was clean and well maintained. I do suggest a phone battery charger or plug to charge your phone, Especially if you use it to get picture or for gopro app like it did. I will book another one and it looks like a yearly event for us now. Thank you for the crew

FishingBooker took our money and confirmed a full day trip for 7. The boat never arrived. Complete waste of time & incredibly inconvenient. Wasted $70 RT on a cab ride to the dock. Stood waiting in the dark/cold for over an hour. No answer to numerous calls and texts. Gave up and went home with 4 very tired and disappointed boys. Finally got an email 3 hours later about "engine trouble." No substitute boat arranged & nobody available to answer phones due to a "holiday". Wasted day. Refused to reimburse taxi costs. FishingBooker accepts no responsibility for the actions of the boats they book you with.
If you want to communicate with your guide, this is the wrong agent. Mine was one way and very frustrating. We both used our common sense and got connected. Luckily, he told me the make and size of his boat so I knew what to look for. Every time I attempted to answer him I got sent to the Fishing Booker login page, which didn't work correctly. Once I paid them (up front) they could and should let us communicate freely.

My wife was able to find local fishing charter and my son along with myself had a good experience from the trip we took recently. There is an additional fee on top of the charter fee from the company you make reservations with but, that maybe the cost of using this app.
Overall worked as expected.

Captain was not familiar with good fishing sites. Put crew in harms way by anchoring in the middle of the canal. Got very close to being hit by a large diving boat. Boat was not seaworthy to navigate in open sea on 2-3 foot waves. I would not recommend this boat.

Booking the experience based on reviews was very easy, but the fishing experience itself was horrible. Starting off with leaving the dock about 20 min late, once we left we had everyone pass us, even pontoon boats, might have seen a kayak pass us, had our hopes up based on all the reviews however the captain that was on all the reviews wasn't even our captain. For hours we trolled, didn't explore other options since trolling wasn't catching anything. And when we finally caught something it was a 9 in tuna and we had to keep our reels inside the rocket launcher. The bait was minimal. Captain used a ballyhoo slice it in thin layers and used 1 ballyhoo for 5 lines out for the rest of the day. Towards the last hour they decided to come closer to the beach, right off the inlet where we caught an ok sized barracuda. For $975 and a 20%gratuity that wasn't included I would have preferred to spend $100 on bait walk to the inlet and catch fish there.
Using fishing Booker is and has been a good experience.
In fairness to the experience, we were asked if we wanted to go for Mahi Mahi and larger fish which we chose. They offered to go after smaller fish.

Our original booking was for the wrong date. We didn't know how to change it or who to call. We found the number we spoke to a very, very helpful woman. She was so patient. She directed us exactly what to do over the phone. She booked it for us, and she refunded the one that had the wrong date on it. We would definitely use this company again.

Whenever we need an answer to a problem we are having, the crew with FishingBooker are there. They respond faster than any other company through E-mail. Less than 24 hours, usually. Our fishing charter business is glad to have found them. The process is easy and the crew with FishingBooker are right on top of things.
This place is good to find a guide, most important thing is too get ahold of the captain, you can do this on this site! Another competitor you just get someone that may just be AI and disappear if you ever have problems, they have people you can get in touch with here, atleast they will get you guides to get in contact with not answering say I want to get Mahi and say yeah all these guides do, they do say that but they say ask the captain, that is who really knows what is going on. Site is good showing what is included, you can check what is biting however that isn't accurate but its something good to look at or it shows targeted species, but just get ahold of lots of captains see who responds the correct way to your questions, half of then never respond, which is horrible. They are too good to take your money, which the site has to do something about that, have captains get like a email like I got for this review several times to give a review, make the captain respond to your questions. Prices compared to another is cheaper, think they do match? Not sure but booking again soon for another trip with same guide I had, he was incredible. So the most important thing is contacting the captain, you can do that here, and again get ahold of many as possible, half will not respond at all, another half will give you a vague answer then a small percentage will give you answer you want, for me I had to contact 50 and narrowed it down to 6, then to 2, then it was easy to go to one with what was included in the trip. I have booked with this one and the competition you have good and bad guides so learn from the bad, think most of them are on both sites, don't allow anyone to get ahold of the captain for you, they do not do this here, you can ask they read on a few and give you the guides, they pick them for what you are asking but say ask the captain, not sure why another doesn't allow this until you pay, sounds very much a scam

Went out with Capt Harry this morning, had a great time. This was the first time I took my brother and family out and they are already planning another trip. It was great, Capt Harry really knows that lake and the habits of the red fish there. He constantly put us on the fish. We had no problem achieving our daily limits. Would definitely recommend this guide to any angler or beginner want to be angler.

There are captains who offer departure times based on the cruise timetables and can get you back on time. I'd suggest you message the charters you'd like to go out with and inquire about this.
