Sent case summary for evaluation. Two weeks later no response. Tried to send again. Send button on site would not work. Sent request to "help" under "contact us." They asked for more information. Two weeks later still no response, even after sending summary to the help line. Then contacted one of the recommended lawyers through their contact page that lists lawyers who do the type of law I needed (according to them). The lawyer's response was that he does not do that type of litigation. It is now a full month since I tried to get an evaluation of my case and obtain a possible law representative. It is almost 5pm Friday. Thanks Findlaw NOT.

I have a one year contract with Findlaw which costs about one fourth of my overhead. Since no one is searching for lawyers during the pandemic my income has gone down to zero. I informed Findlaw of this right away and they said they would look into some accommodations. Low and behold, the next month's bill was right on time with no help whatsoever in payments. I'm not even going to get started on how deceitful this company is even in the best of times. Don't make the mistake of signing up with Findlaw. When I told them about how I wished I had read the reviews of them before I signed up, they said the reviews were from competitors. Trust me, I'm not a competitor. I'm a small business now hemorrhaging money and they don't care a bit.

"Here's the critical thing to understand about FindLaw's service agreement: FindLaw will enforce the agreement and they will not hesitate to litigate if you try to leave early.

Don't expect any good faith or understanding if things just aren't working out; FindLaw will attempt to compel you to pay every last dime required by the service agreement."

Further, the representatives have no incentive to assist you when you express distress with the failing websites and 6/10 the site will not be lucrative.

Reliable site for legal information - FindLaw was one of the earliest legal resource sites on the web, and is still among the most reliable and comprehensive sources of free information about many legal topics. They have an area "For the Public" and "For Legal Professionals" -- so it's useful for both lawyers and non-lawyers seeking legal information. It's generally U.S.-focused.

I was going to cancel my findlaw contract when it came to the end. A rep from there, Jared Emery called me to renew my contract. So I spoke with him 2 or 3 times. Each time he misrepresented to me the price and the advertising. Each time he assured me that the spot I would get in Massachusetts would cost in total 233.00 per month. So that was lower than what I was paying for prior to the new contract. I explained that I could not afford what i was already paying for and it is COVID now and I was not getting as many clients. Again Jared assured me it would be 233.00 in total per month. Well, I get a bill for 435.00, after I paid 177.00 with a credit of 87.00. I contacted him and he said that was correct, retro active and the total monthly bill would be 352.00. I have been calling the legal department Kim Sorrell who will not answer her phone or call me back. I have informed all of them I want this contract terminated. This company SUCKS. I just want out of my contract an to be done with them BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE.

As others have commented, if you buy their advertising be prepared for poor service, limited results and no way to end the contracts early. Do not rely on statements from the sales rep. Be sure to see in writing the cancellation terms. The master agreement is misleading as it provides for a 90 day notice of cancellation but then provided that the actual cancellation is either at the end of the contract or the notice periods, whichever is later. So you dont get out early despite poor results.

I personally use FindLaw.com for most of my legal research. I find it very user friendly to navigate. Whether a law student, lawyer or interested in the law this is a great place to start. In my opinion I like the fact that there are blogs and discussions. It is straight forward without a policitcal agenda. If you are interested in only the Supreme Court you can narrow your search and FindLaw has the full Supreme Court rulings with both the consenting and dissenting decisions. Good place to start if you have questions and provides other links. Very helpful site.

I called a lawyer by the name of Paula in my area Acworth and she was very rude to my partner and I! It was maybe after 4pm when I called and she wasn't letting me speak rushing me and I felt not trying to understand. Instead of saying she had to go and giving me another time to reach her she rushed my free consultation! We will not be using her in my opinion very unprofessional and just flat out rude... I tired to have my partner call to better and future explain our situation and she refuse to hear him out! We ended up finding someone helpful and professional who clearly loves what they do. So if you are in the Acworth area don't use Paula very unprofessional.

I signed up with Findlaw in January of 2019 with a 12 month contract. Sometime in April of 2019 I decided to use their web services. Apparently every time you sign a contract with them it comes with a 12 month term. Let me just say this: terrible support. Things with Findlaw work very slowly. You are just a cog in the machine. So far I spent over 12k with findlaw only to sign up one case. I had a bad feeling with their 12 month contract. I got clobbered with this campaign. It took a bite out of my firm and I'll have to grind away just to get back in the green.

AMAZIN!
November 27, 2016

I honestly do not know where to start praising Rebecca Cosca, she is simply amazing. I have paid good money in the past to other attorneys that are very reputable and claim to be the best at what they do, but the results are what counts, and the results with Rebecca were way better! Rebecca is one of a kind. She has a style that is uniquely a combination of professional and comforting. Rebecca was able to get me the best outcome possible in my DUI case. I am not the type to post or write reviews about anyone or anything but Rebecca was so extraordinary that I am compelled to post a review about this amazing attorney. Do yourself a favor if you ever find a need for a criminal, DUI, attorney Rebecca is simply the best choice in the state of Maryland. Her fees are very reasonable and her professionalism is outstanding.

Glenn Youngling and Anna Kates have illegally charged me $325.05 for legal services unrendered.
I requested a one sentence letter for my lender to confirm my HOA dues. Anna Kates refused to write the letter and then proceeded to charge me for the unwritten letter. She also placed a lien on my house for the $325.05. After repeated emails since November 2017 to correct this error I have not heard back from either Glenn Youngling or Anna Kates. Disiplinary Action with the Ca State Bar for fraud and unethical conduct has been filed.

Simply The Worst!
February 28, 2020

When I began my professional relationship with Findlaw, it was based on false and misleading pretenses by sales representative Jessica Mertz of Florida. When I professionally brought this to the attention of the powers at be, they have largely acted in bad faith against my law firm and have continuously struck out at my law firm and have avoided and delayed conversations to solve our professional issues. I feel that I have been lied to by Findlaw and that they are willfully out to destroy my law firm. I could never have fathomed that such conduct would even occur with a professional organization. Aside from Findlaw from trying to destroy my practice, their conduct has adversely effected my health. This has been the worst professional experience of my legal career.

Not trustworthy!
February 28, 2021

I contacted a law group in Anchorage, Alaska regarding help with my immigration case. That law group then attempted to charge me four times the normal amount that all other law groups in the area charge. I then left a review on FindLaw. A month later Rebecca at FindLaw emailed me on Wednesday saying that the law group had disputed my review because I never hired them. She then gave me until Monday to respond. Luckily I have a habit of checking my emails daily and responding immediately, otherwise I might not have had the time to respond in just five days after she emailed me. Who does such a thing... gives their users 5 days to respond? We know she gave the law firm a longer time to respond. Regardless, I responded and explained everything. And then I didn't hear back from Rebecca. Two weeks later I asked for an update, and she responded saying that "The Challenge Team has determined to remove the review. They have decided the law firm did not represent or consult with you." --- as if there is a "Challenge Team" at FindLaw... as if they are some huge operation that has a separate department that researches these reviews and makes decisions on "challenges". Obviously FindLaw is not concerned with their users' experiences with the law firms unless they hired a law firm, because I had an email consultation with the law group and they tried to rip me off for four times the normal rate for the type of case I have.

The issue here is that FindLaw is not a service that users can trust. Law firms pay to be on FindLaw, and if FindLaw's income is going to be threatened by a user's complaint, then FindLaw is going to side with the law firm and not the user. They give their users small arbitrary amounts of time to respond, and they do not have the decency to update their users with the results of their "challenge teams' investigations" - lol.

Dear Justice, You sux. I've had the absolute worst shopping experience with your Store! During this past Christmas 2017, I received "2" Gift
Vouchers in the mail from the Justice Store, offering FREE $20 When you Spend only $5 Bucks. Me being my Thrifty Self, thought what a Deal to score a couple Christmas Gifts for my Tween daughter. But I was so Wrong! I spent sometime in the store searching for the right items, found some awesome Clearance deals (cause that's how I roll) had both my transactions divided up on the counter ready to be tallied up "as only 1 Voucher per transaction- ok no problem there" (Me all the while thinking to myself how Awesome. Of a deal this is going to cost me only $10 bucks Total for all these goodies!) But the Cashier burst my bubble! She informed me if I was going to use the $20 gift Voucher, she would have to Charge me the Original Price of Each Item!? What? Your joking right!? So that awesome Backpack I found on Clearance for $9.99 is now Being Raked up to $59.99!? I couldn't understand how in the world Justice can justify changing their Price 4x times higher than what it's actually marked on the price tag? Cashiers only explanation is because I was using their Coupon Voucher. I did not know Justice has a secret button to flip back & forth their prices, to screw customers over. Needless to say last shopping trip to their store.
