The person I spoke with on the phone was very knowledgeable about bamboo. I was told by a local nursery that bamboo was an invasive species and they could not sell it. The salesperson for Fast Growing Trees said just to plant it in an enclosed trough or similar and it would be fine to use as a barrier between our patio and our neighbors. He also said we could eat the new sprouts that had not been exposed to sunlight if we boiled them first.
I got my condo avocado almost 2 months ago and it is going strong, even showing signs of new growth.

Plants arrived dead TWICE and all the customer service people were interested was in getting multiple angles of dead plants. They were wilted and BROWN. Not coming back to life!

My first order years ago was amazing! The plants were in great shape, arrived on time - no need for customer service. I placed a large order last year - half of my order arrived on time and in decent shape the other half arrived the next day (Sunday) all via Fed Ex this time instead of UPS and they looked half dead. We planted and they all seemed to be ok. After a harsh winter, we had to replace a few things recently. My order again was supposed to arrive on Saturday. As of Monday, they still hadn't arrived so I emailed FGT several times with no response - EVER. They finally arrived on Wednesday from Fed Ex, again looking rough. I did get the insurance this last time, but that will be my last time using FGT.

Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
