Ordered a 6 pack of white pines while they were on sale, as normally they seem to be expensive. Planted them in mid April. Its June and I would estimate they have already growing between 5-8 inches. We will see if they last.
Good selection although there was some delay in fulfilling the order, once complete it was smooth. Day after ordering there was a new offer for free shipping and when requested they did adjust the order to include the free shipping. FedEx delivery was slow and actually still waiting for the order to be received and Fed Ex really not updating the delivery time since over the weekend.
I had issues with damage from shipper and when I called about it I received the best customer service ever! I wish all companies would follow your lead. Thank you again.
They sent me 2 hedges as I requested. After a couple of weeks one hedge did not look good. They said it was due to stress. I gave it a couple more weeks and they said give it another 4 weeks. A dying plant doesn't need more time to die. Now I have one good plant and the other one will never catch up in size.
I bought several trees from Home Depot and Fast Growing. I expected the trees from Fast Growing, given that they were twice the price, to be fuller and more mature. Instead it was the opposite. And of the two trees that are struggling and look the worst after being planted - both are from Fast Growing.
I had ordered 8 Frost Proof Gardenias on 7/28/24,2 of which began dying within 7 months of ordering them. I contacted FastGrowingTrees by email twice on 3/27/25 and 4/7/25, with photo proof attached, requesting replacement of the dying gardenias or a refund. Each of the gardenias cost $53.95 plus tax. To date, I still have not received a response, replacement or refund. It obvious that they don't intend to honor their so-called 1-year Alive & Thrive guarantee, so I guess I will have to take this matter up with my credit card company to resolve this matter.
Got my trees with little dirt because they removed a lot of it to save on shipping I would assume. One of them perished after two weeks and when claimed the warranty they just got around the bush and said that because it was out of the recommended zone they won't honor it. I asked what is the temperature range and they just replied that in my zone was too hot. The temperature at that time were in between 75 to 85 degrees, but let aside that they weaken the tree when dirt was removed in the first place. What is worse is that my other trees I got the same day from them seem to be struggling as much even though they are recommended for my zone.
1. Tulip popular Tree way overdue. Should have been more candid and given credit 2. Some of the plants were poorly packaged and the soil was so dry it fell off the plant.
3. You should have warned the customer that the texas oak tree was coming from AZ who has very inferior packaging 4. No plant expert willing to help me with the struggling plants…
5. The St Tropez rose dead etc… I bought a St Tropez rose Tree last year it is thriving which proves a personnel issue.
6. Customers are paying exorbitant price for consistent high quality service.
Im not one to leave reviews, let alone negative ones. I love positivity and I am positively never going to purchase these expensive and lacking trees. That is all, I am sorry.
They will send you thujas with only four branches on the bottom three feet. Contacted customer service several times. Each time was told each time that a manager would contact me which never occurred. Apparently since the "Charlie Brown Christmas Trees" of arborvitae are alive they are "viable" plants. If I saw the quality of products they are selling on sale at a box store for $5 I wouldn't buy. Save yourself some money and don't buy from this company. Absolutely terrible!
We have ordered before from FGT.com. They were happy to replace damaged plants without additional cost to us, but not so this time. We are giving the live tree the best of car and hoping it will thrive.
I ordered several trees from fast. Growingtrees.com and one of them arrived dead. Their reimbursement policy for that dead tree is to replace it, unfortunately it was no longer available. Therefore I had to pick something else that and could not do an exact dollar for dollar exchange so I ended up paying more. One of those plants was also not healthy when it arrived. I have not complained about it because I'm not going to spend more money to replace it. I have been very disappointed even though 50% of my trees arrived and are doing well.
I have purchased 6 trees of different species and have been beyond happy with all! Some trees are expensive, but for what I get, it's worth it!
The willows arrived dead. I planted them anyway, but two weeks later—no signs of life. The shipping dates are not reliable—one part of the shipment arrived two weeks later than expected. A real problem for my housesitter as I was out of town. The smaller azaleas were not well packed and had many broken branches. But the larger azaleas, magnolia tree, and hydrangeas and rose bushes were well packed and look great in the garden.
I've bought numerous items from FGT over the years and am always very happy with the entire process.
Bought 3 trees online. All were the described height but more important was the spindley trunk diameter. Assess the options before purchasing trees online.
The tree never looked good from the day I opened it but I thought I'll just give it time and now it's dead
I bought two trees. One (a calamondin) is doing fine. The other (a Meyer lemon) arrived with a spider mite infestation and proceeded to lose all of its leaves. I don't know if it will recover. FastGrowing Trees has not been especially helpful about this.
I never received my Peach Tree. I was sent a highly invasive species of bamboo, which I didn't order or want, and now have to find someone, anyone, to take away before it starts spreading. But, sadly, I still don't have the peach tree I ordered. Oh, and don't bother trying to talk to an actual person at FGT. That will NEVER happen, so, just keep typing emails into the void. You'll receive planting form letters in reply which don't address your concern or issue. Fun stuff.
Answer: Cancel your order now before it's too late, go to a local nursery and save yourself some money and unwarranted aggravation, these folks are not honorable.
Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
