Landed a $1,600 gig on my 2nd day of signing up! I signed up on a Wednesday and was hired for a gig Thursday! It is a "Live Event" - Gameshow Host for the Independent Film Channel.
The opportunity was placed on my calendar, I sent my info to the contact person and two phone calls later I was hired. I was flown to NYC, put up in a hotel for a night and spent a day in training. Upon completion (12 days total, 3-4 hours a day) I will have earned $1,600! Just wanted to say THANK YOU!
Found them to be extremely helpful getting me get started. I am disabled but you can't tell it on the outside. I am looking forward to a new a and fun adventure!
Got a call saying that they saw my picture and wanted me for the fast and furious 8 and that if I don't sign today than l will lose the part told her I couldn't pay the $188 so she said ok I can do it for $119 so I agreed never got any calls and I also was told I would be payed $842 dollars a day I read reviews that night and figured out it was a scam filed a fraud claim with my bank don't sign big SCAM!
I had signed up my daughter with explore talent, After they went to renew my subscription (automatically) but my card had expired, they called me and told me "congratulations, a film producer wants your daughter to audition for Jack Reacher 2, I need her sizes and height etc the pay is $841 per day, is she available?", "of course" I told them. Then they put me on hold while they were going to send her info over to the producer. Then they came back and told me my subscription had lapsed and the credit card on file was expired (Thank God) so I needed to give them a new card to bill me $199.00.The first time i signed up the price was minimal, they said that was a special introductory rate. I told them I didnt have my cards on me, so they said if I called back with the card # they would then send my daughters info to the movie producer. I felt scam so I never called back. Today, 2 months later, I get a call from them again, same thing, only this tie its a guy calling, "HI I have fantastic news! A film producer wants your daughter for his film, the pay is $841 a day, is she available?" so i ride it out...:"sure she is" I say. He asks for all her info again
Then he says I'm going to put you on hold a minute while I get in touch with the people on the film. He comes back a minute later and says, "Gee, the people seeking your daughter for this audition were unable to access your account. Did you know your credit card has expired:? If we can update that now we can get your account active again" Needless to say, I hung up on the jerk.
Pretty lousy trying to get peoples money by giving them false hope.
Unimaginable things became imaginable. Thanks to Explore Talent I'm now a advertising model. Where I know that, this is my first step to become a known model
You mean an offer for money is on the Internet and it turns out it actually isn't true!
OMG its on the Internet and it isn't true! But but but... its on the Internet? How the he*l can it not be true? Just the fact that Explore Talent has money to create a website is proof that there is a serious problem with EDUCATION. Hey people, yes you of all ages. Next time you have the opportunity to learn something from a teacher, stop talking, stop being "cool" stop snorting, smoking, interrupting, and\or generally being an $#*! and LISTEN-LEARN pay-attention. OR... you may just get scammed for time and money later on because you were too stupid to make a good decision for your own life. Maybe you should have learned how ridiculously easy it is to have your own website, untraceable phone number and BS scripts so you can spend all your time between "trips" answering calls from idiots who will give you a credit card number if you just have "people skills" and tell them what they want to hear. Does that sound like a good business model to you?
You can redeem yourself by doing America a favor and not voting for anything... ever!
P.S.School is free here, check it out.
I got a movie role in 5 days after signing to Explore Talent and made $1,000. I was picked up for a role in a movie called "Coming Attractions," shooting here in Orlando. It has many stars cast such as Angie Everheart (Supermodel/Bordello of Blood), Micheal Laslow (Beverly Hills Cop Movies), Pat Morita (Kirate Kid), and many more.
I always knew that this site was different from all of the scam sites who don't even provide you with anything you need. Those sites just give you some addresses to send off a headshot and resume to a Casting Director, or Production company when they end up thrown out anyways. Explore Talent allows you to book yourself.
Thanks to everyone at Explore Talent who keeps on helping me to have my submissions out right away.
I don't know why there are so many SCAM reviews on here. First of all, you have to pay for any web site or profile. I think some people think you are going to get everything for free in life. No you do not PAY for acting jobs or auditions, but sometimes you DO have to pay for web sites and to be seen. I got a few small jobs from Explore Talent that were legit then I let my subscription expire. I still had my profile but I could not be contacted by directors and could not submit. I too was called about a job for a major motion picture. I recorded the conversation and renewed my subscription, I told my advisor how I was concerned this was a scam to get me to renew and she advised me that if I did not get the job she would refund every penny of my subscription to the sight no questions asked. After the weekend I called her back again to confirm all the information. She called me back and told me more information on the project. So far everything I have done with them has been legit! Everyone has always been polite and helpful!
Fake leads
Fake profiles
Fraudulent services.
Not worth the browse it has wasted my funds amd wasted my time.
SCAM SCAM SCAM I had to do my research first because they was asking me to pay for a membership because my profile was the first one to be chosen and I asked why should I have to pay if my profile has been the first to be chosen he could not give me an answer don't do it. It's a waste of your time and when you try to cancel the profile they really won't let you they keep trying to get you the pay for 6 months or if you can pay for through six months pay for three months it's bogus don't waste your time me and my dad set up all night when the first guy called me and told me I had auditions but once we started talking to him and he could not give us the name to the company who was looking at my profile and we knew it was a scam, don't do it, be warned and don't read the five star comments they're not true
FIRST audition, FIRST booking... We would like to give a huge thank you to the folks at Explore Talent for all you do. My son was selected for a role in an Indie film "cc" after his FIRST audition from an Explore Talent booking. Keep up the good work!
Just a tip of advice, when it comes to company's legibility, the most reliable source of information is the Better Business Bureau. Go to: www.bbb.org - and then type-in the certain company's name if it's legit or not. When you see it there that it is accredited with BBB then that only means that it's legit. DO NOT JUST LISTEN OR BELIEVE TO SOME OF THOSE AUTOMATED MESSAGES BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE ARE JUST DETRACTORS FROM OTHER CASTING COMPANY ASWELL. It is still a business after all. I hope this will help you guys.
Got a part in a Film within a week I signed up with ExploreTalent on a Tuesday, had an audition on Friday and a part in a Non-SAG film the following Tuesday! Since then, I have been contacted for auditions on two new projects. I am so happy that I Joined ExploreTalent and I look forward to a successful career in the entertainment industry. Cheers ExploreTalent!
Please do not give explore talent your money! This is a complete scam! I just wanted to let you all know that I have been in 1 movie ( follow me) and 2 tv shows (bunk'd and Jessie) and from a person with experience. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR AUDITIONS! All auditions for movies, tv shows, modeling, ect. Are always free :)
I got a call today from a lady from lad Vegas saying that a casting director wanted me to be an extra in new fast and furious movie and a new transformers movie. I talked to her for a few minutes and knew it was a scam she wanted money I hung up on her. DONT FALL FOR IT!
I was selected to be a student character in MTV Music Video. Thank you. I had a lot of fun and experience because of this. Explore Talent is so awesome Again, thank you!
Back in April I filmed a short film called "The Time" and a couple weeks ago I filmed as an extra in the Adam Sandler film "I Hate You Dad" which has a release date for next Summer. I have also had an offer to film a Meg Ryan film called "Lives of Saints" in November in Los Angeles and have had offers for four Disney shows A. N. T Farm Shake it Up Good Luck Charlie and Zeke and Luther. This is all in addition to offers for Big Time Rush & True Jackson VP and have been contacted by Ashley Argota's publicist who may work with me starting this July.
Thank you Explore Talent!
The Explore Talent is very useful to all upcoming artist. And it gives me all audition news. It gives more chance to enter film industry. I love this site, An opened window to the Big screen.
Explore Talent is a very nice example of a rip off.
Is it a full blown scam? No, they have real casting calls and events listed.
I have been in numerous acting classes and modeling classes over the years and the first thing they always say, and repeat very often, is that you should NOT PAY ANYTHING for an audition (or agent- but that's a different story), auditions are free to go to, and any place asking for money to let you audition is a scam and should be avoided
I had signed up for ET when I was in middle school, eight years ago. And then about five years ago, I had gotten a text, out of the blue, saying that Modern Family had a casting director looking at my page (which was so out-of-date it was hilarious) and in order for me to submit my profile for further consideration, I had to call this certain number and jump through a number of hoops. I, being only sixteen at the time (really this should have been illegal), thought 'this is my big chance! I can get discovered!' fell into the trap. I had my own bank account and easily paid the 'haggled down' price, which was still a hundred bucks a year, and started submitting my picture to everyone.
Then the next year came, I suddenly got wise and tried to cancel my account. Got some very not-so-kid-friendly words from the lady on the phone, and I said some not-so-kid-friendly words right back. To this very day, I still get texts (I never gave them the OK to text my damn phone) saying that casting directors have glanced at my very old profile.
I paid for the year package for my 3 year old daughter. Before I paid my money they were calling sending emails and all, soon after I buy their bs and paid for a years subscription we have not recorded any phone calls. Before we signed up I called myself doing a little research and they are apart of BBB, which I can't see how. Their website is full of auditions that's past dated. The only thing they have sent me is saying their ready to print out my daughters business card and to pick a picture... I don't know how many pictures I picked and she still does not have her business cards, the person who was helping us get started we never heard back from him I believe his name was Robert. I have even went on the website myself and applied my daughter to different outdated things they had and of course no call back or response. I know it is not my daughter because every where we go they ask is she in commercials or something, but this just goes to show that they tell you for real businesses you don't have to pay first. I should've listened because I'm a single mother and now out of 300 dollars to jump start my babies modeling career and it still cease to exist. Please don't be like me and fall for this scam.
