Had an error with our booking so we had to cancel and rebook... Expedia said it was canceled so we rebooked and when we got to our hotel realized we had 2 rooms and they had not canceled the previous booking... we got our hotel money back but was refused after hours of my time on hold and with useless customer service representatives for our flights... we have now been forced to goto our credit card company to reverse the charges! We have used expedia for 7 trips and this is how we got treated! I will now get a travel credit card to insure my trips rather than trust this company!@
Went in with a friend we checked in at night
And was greeted by a very nice lovely lady Indi she helped us a lot as we had some problems with our reservation she answered all our questions and gave detailed explanation and fixed everything for a night check in we were not accepting this nice and professional service way to go Raddison for having this great staff
I would recommend my family and friends to stay here whenever they come to red deer
On a recent March Break weekend trip, I booked a hotel through Expedia. The hotel was wonderful. Just before leaving we decided to stay a second night. I called the hotel directly and as they had a room I booked while in the phone. The price of the hotel was OVER 50% LESS THAN EXPEDIA PRICE! Very disappointed in the way I was treated. I will not use this untrustworthy service again!
Worst company ever, I book to my mom last year and she went into an emergency so I cancelled, then I wanted to book another flight for her.
They forcing me to book with same airlines within 10 month and even I have to found the same seat number for the same passenger.
They just stole 900$ from us because we cannot find booking with all these silly conditions they put.
DO NOT bool travel packages with Expedia. Thrifty at Pearson refused my car because I forgot my credit card at home. I offered to leave a large deposit on my debit card or provide the credit card info to them but they refused. I did not argue, I just left without a car in the middle of winter. I was without a car for 1 week in the snow and cold. I had to use a taxi for the entire week which cost a lot. I am not disputing not getting the car, I am disputing not getting a refund. I called Expedia for a refund on the car rental as soon as I got to my hotel and they said Thrifty refuse to issue a refund. I told them I did not pay Thrifty, I paid Expedia and Expedia is responsible for the refund. Expedia refused to do anything. My credit card company said this is completely unacceptable because they (Thrifty) did not lose anything by not releasing a car and they should authorize a full refund. My credit card company will be disputing this with Expedia. If I don't get my money back, I will be taking Expedia to court. They are hiding behind Thrifty and blaming their unethical behaviour on Thrifty. At the end of the day, I paid Expedia, I did not do business with Thrifty therefore I do not need to contact Thrifty nor do I need to go after Thrifty. I will go after the company (Expedia) who took my money.
Absolute horrendous experience with Expedia. Stay away! Was told I could not change/cancel a booking (requested within 24 hrs of booking). Called Air Canada where they confirmed that a flight can be cancelled within 24 hrs (at this point the 26th hour) through the booking site (Expedia). Let's just say it has been 48 hrs of back and forth... lie after lie... and they are just now agreeing that they made a mistake, but are only willing to cancel 1 flight on 1 itinerary (I have 2). Why would I only want 1 itinerary to be cancelled?! Complete waste of time and money. No one at Expedia knows what they are doing. They are money hungry thieves. Stay far, far away. Use another booking site, better yet, an actual travel agent! You have completely disgusted me Expedia, after one too many trips booked with you, I am DONE!
Signed, Nicole R.
After researching a surprise Spa visit for my wifes birthday I chose Expedia.ca and was given a secure booking at the Spa. The date was confirmed, I began making further plans. I printed off the Expedia " secure booking " confirmation and did not notice the lack of an " itinerary # " everything else was confirmed as booked. Days later I decided I would check with Expedia just to be sure all was going as planned. No Itinerary # No way to contact Expedia or a real person. I could not get past the first step without an itinerary #. I phoned the resort: No confirmation, No record of a booking in my name or Expedia's. I dug deeper and found that my Secure Booking had been altered at a later date to read that my reservation request was denied by Expedia. I was not notified and had to find out for myself that I no longer had a reservation. Fortunately I discovered this 4 days before the planned resort visit. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with Expedia.Ca
We booked a cruise for the beginning of this year, we booked and upgraded and were told the total amount was 2020 CAD. On day 1 when we onboarded the cruise, we have been told there was an outbalancing of 534 CAD because the total was supposed to be 2554 CAD. Can you imagine how annoying is during the mid of the trip? We chose not to deal with it and paid it off first ( Otherwise they wouldn't let us leave the cruise) and handled it after our trip. The nightmare began there, endless calls to Expedia and no one knows what is going on. Basically, Cruise said Expedia told them there is an outbalancing, and Expedia didn't know what is going on. We didn't get the refund by the end, and too much time and energy were wasted on this, but this is really unacceptable and we will never use Expedia again!
I had to choose one star because I cannot write the review. It is awful service. It is always better to book tickets from the airlines website then to book it from Expedia because the airlines does not give refunds or vouchers to 3rd party apps like Expedia if things go wrong specially airlines like British airways. I had to literally call them for 2 years starting from 2021. The agents in Expedia also does not have proper knowledge including supervisors. Really had a hard time with no solution at the end. Stuck with credits with expiry dates which cannot be transferred. Now i am forced to travel within that expiry date.
We bought $1,000.00 tickets to an event taking place in 7 weeks. We used Expedia to book our hotel. Despite having reserved and paid for 2 rooms for 3 nights at the Allure Hotel and Suites in London Ontario 10 months ago, we were informed by the hotel that the booking will not be honored. We had 2 choices, cancel the booking completely for a refund (no interest paid for the 10 months they had our money) or they would book us rooms at another hotel significantly further away from the venue. We specifically chose the Allure because of the proximity to the venue and with only 7 weeks until the event all other hotels close enough are fully booked. We called Expedia and they washed their hands of the whole situation, absolutely disgusting way to do business by both the Allure Hotel and Expedia. We were offered as compensation by the hotel, one free night for all 4 of us on our next visit...are they for real, we are all senior citizens and would rather sleep on the street to ever stay at this hotel. As for Expedia, you are disgusting and we will never do business with you again and I pray many many people read this and do the same!
Booked a flight to UK through Expedia, thinking I was using Canadian dollars. There was no indication that the pricing was in American dollars. I booked a Canadian airline departing from Toronto, and then got overcharged in CAD when they converted from USD. I contacted online help at Expedia, and they told me they couldn't provide any kind of relief. Pure rip-off.
Booked with expedia for a once in lifetime trip. Weather caused significant delays and pushed our departure by a week. Expedia was so UNhelpful. Customer service told us there were no flights heading towards our destination.
We enlisted the help of the air carrier who helped us find a new flight out so Expedia could book that flight for us. Expedia forgot to change our hotel reservations, so we were charged for a week of accommodations - we hadn't left our city yet. When we called Expedia they told us it was our responsibility to manage accommodations (even though we booked through them and they assured us at the time they'd contact the hotel and change our booking - didn't happen)
We wanted to delay our return flight for a few days (because an 11 day trip was cut down to 5 days). Sure enough Expedia said it couldn't be done.
They told us several times they would listen to our phone call tapes and get back to us - didn't happen.
They regurgitated our story back to us - incorrectly and told us it was all our fault.
No one can control the weather but Expedia used it as an excuse to basically screw us over, I will absolutely NEVER book with them again. We travel several times a year using various other means (travel agents, Costco travel, red tag and independent booking) Expedia was the worst experience - and we had purchased travel insurance with Expedia - they didn't care.
The agents only goal is to get you to admit to something you didn't do so they can excuse themselves of liability.
Don't book with Expedia - there are so many other options out there.
I have been trying for about 3 months now to use the flight credits I have with British Airways for a vacation booked through Expedia that was cancelled due to Covid
Phoning them has been useless as I get passed from person to person or being told they will phone me back in 72 hrs or that I need to phone British Airways. They never phone back and British Airways says I need to phone Expedia.
The site says I have 4 British Airways flight credits I need to use before the end of September 2023.
I would love to use them. One Expedia rep said I needed to re book the trip. Which I did and then I would get the credits. That was 2 months ago!
So now I have essentially paid twice for the trip with no credits and the Expedia site says I need to use them. TELL ME HOW!
I cancelled 2 seats flight from Vancouver to London due to Covid, got $1500 in credit. When I wanted to use the credits to book same flight different time, agent informed me that only $80 is applied, the rest is lost due to taxes!. I tried to book under different name, the actual cost is $1800, but when I tried to apply the credit, the cost jumped to $3800. Expedia.ca is really a SCAM, stay away.
Flight changed and I tried to change car pick up from afternoon to morning after only booking a few hours previously and they charged me almost full price. Do not deal with this company
Do not waste your money. Agents do not helps and pass the responsible over to others. No matter how much you spend they still want more money, my flight was 1800 and I was trying to switch tye tickets. Found one that was around 1300. Did not request for return of difference but agents would expect me to pay an additional 700 at most. I would ask why when the ticket is 1300. Response would be take it or leave it. Please book with actual flights
I tried to let Expedia resolve this issue but I was ghosted by them.
The clearly articulated question I had was, "Why was my reservation not honored by Thrifty?"
CONTEXT: I rent a car through Expedia - Expedia tells me that my reservation is confirmed and that there is no need to call the vendor (Thrifty) as the reservation has been verified already - I get to the Vendor and am told that Expedia didn't verify anything with them - I am sent away to rent elsewhere where I was forced to pay $500.00 more than my reservation cost - I contact Expedia to get an explanation - Expedia pretends to care and tells me they will get an answer - Expedia ghosts me.
That is the story thus far and I have been trying to get an answer for over a month.
Expedia changed our flights and apparently notified us but it had to have gone to junk mail so we weren't aware of thr change. Booked our flights 8 months in advance. Google Calendar never changed as we never received an email to inbox to open and update the change.
We tried calling thr airline to reschedule as we waited at the check in counter and we were hung up on 3 times. Frustrating to say the least and we never ended up getting ahold of them. Will never book again with Expedia.
Answer: They are the worst. Do not. Book ever again with expedia...
Answer: I was totally screwed by expedia and they wasted probably 20 hours of my life - anyone feel me!?
Answer: Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it now if you have given them your credit card. Just don't ever use them again
