It was easy and quick to renew my tag information for this year.
Being a recent new resident to Nevada, former resident of California, I needed to look for local DMV full service for vehicle registration for Tags and Plates along with a new Neveda drivers license. While doing an initial search online, I can across Online Vehicle Registration and Title Services with e-Tags between 2-3 other links for Henderson, NV DMV services. I thought this must a a fast track feature to 1. Get online service expedited for a service fee. 2. Also help reduce crowds of people waiting for hours to be processed in local DMV offices. So I choose to use e-Tags. When I began to fill-out the form it mentioned this was good also for Nevada and Utah residents. Thinking this is a great mutual collaboration between DMV's of CA, NV, and Utah. Well the eta delivery was exact on time 7-5-24. Service process is great. Upon opening the e-Tags envelope, I realized the error I had made. During the filling out process, there was no mention or verification the Tags for plate registration were for State of California, asking only for last 3 digits of VIN. 7-8-24 Called a"e-Tags rep." explained what happened. Said I could go to CADMV and request a refund for the CA-tags which I am in process of doing now, this is all eTags could do. Suggest initial form be redrafted and with more articulate info to avoid this from reoccurring again.
Prior to choosing e-Tags, I called a local AAA agent in Henderson if they have DMV services like in California. He said they only have them for CA., Texas and Maine, none in Nevada to date. Which is why I made the choice and selection for e-Tags.com services, figured they must be similar to AAA's DMV services.
I kept getting an error do not know if I ever got it corrected
