I renewed before and this cycle and will continue to renew this way. Easy and efficient process for renewal.
This service allows me to avoid travel and waiting time on physical installations.
It was fast and easy to renew the registration.
Renewed my car registration with no hassle and quick delivery of my license tag. There is a service fee for using this, but it was clearly stated at checkout prior to payment. Tags were delivered in 2 days with followup to ensure that I had received them.
Horrible experience. Won't be using it again. Put up the hidden fees in your pricing before someone confirms. Will highly recommend NO ONE else uses the service if I get the chance. Overpriced and useless. Thanks.
Great to hear pleasant, professional folks on the phone when you call in. The process was so easy, I really didn't mind paying for my lost tag! If all my dealings with government agencies were this excellent, life would be a great deal easier!
If you are a California driver, google "California DMV" and use their website. Only 2.1%, which was 3.30 for me, added to the $157 due. This eTags place wanted well over $190. Total rip-off. Anyone can wait 5 days for license tags, particularly when January stickers are prime targets for thieves wanting current year registration.
Always a little concerned when using a government website but this was very easy with clear instructions. I already have my paper title in my hands using USPS - two business days later. WOW!
Good job folks.
Thanks and stay well during these crazy times.
This is the only option I could come up with for ordering registrations online. The fees are very expensive. Way to rip us off ETags! Better than standing in line at the DMV and it came fast so... you get a 3
Hi Micheal, thank you for your feedback. We are certainly not trying to rip anyone off. Our fees are set in accordance with the cost of operation which includes processing, shipping, and staffing a full support team. We understand though that it can be out of budget for many people which is why in person renewal is always available and always cheaper. Thanks again for your feedback and have a great 2017!
My registration was up to date, but this site doesn't tell you that. They still went ahead and charged me 200$ for something I already have. I am trying to void this charge immediately after placing it, but it's impossible to get a hold of them on the phone. Don't use third party sites. Complete scam.
Hi Sophie, sorry to hear you had an unsatisfactory experience. If your vehicle is registered in California, you may have had overdue parking tickets that needed to paid in order to be issued a replacement of a lost registration. In any other state, this would not be the case though. Either way, please call us and we can review further to assure this is resolved to your satisfaction. We look forward to hearing from you.
The process for renewing my car registration was not only easy to complete in one attempt, but payment and fulfillment a week later with etags arriving by mail were all perfect. Congratulations! Could not be better.
I will never order my registration update via on line again. What started as a 1 year update at $45, turned into $75 when all said and done. Paid almost double. They did not give you a total bill before you clicked submit so I had no idea until it was too late. Never again.
I needed to get tags for two cars. They charged me $29.95 twice $59.90. I will never ever use them again. I should have just mailed in my renewals with a check. I also tried to cancel the service the next day, was told sorry outta luck they don't do that. I am not at all happy. Feel really ripped off!
But was not aware of the extra fee! My tag went from $39.00 to $69.00. Will most likely not use this again. Just order through the mail next time. We have 4 vehicles and this would get more expensive!
It was super easy. Received my order of registration and tags within a week. I recommend using Etags when you don't want to deal with the hassle at DMV with lines and attitudes. Believe me it's worth it. Thanks!
It cost me 75 extra dollars for my tags. Total rip off. That 75 dollars would go a long way toward putting my house back together after the last hurricane. This really hurt my pocket book. Funny how Florida almost forces one to live in poverty.
Happy that they arrived in a timely manner. Looks like the transaction was complete with no problems. This was a very efficient way to obtain our new registration certificate. Much Thanks, William Cornwell
Took a little longer than I'm use to but for my first time doing everything online I thought it was easy and efficient. Etags stayed in touch letting me know the update of the application giving me ease of mind.
I would wait to renew if you can. State is taking advantage of the tax payer during stay at home order. There are no options other to pay except by e-Tags. Time to change Governors, this is just one example.
ETags is a private company. Our fees have remained unchanged for years. The DMV continues to process orders via mail and online via their various websites. Thank you for the opportunity to clarify. If we can assist with your order, please contact us at 888-633-5332.
Kind regards,
eTags.com
The service saved me many hours and miles of driving to replace an auto document that was lost. My only real issue with the whole procedure is the method by which they accept documentation files over the Internet
This method of paying and delivery was effortless. I can direct my energy on something else in life that is much more fun then paying an auto tag bill. This site made my job easy breezy... thank you for a walk in the park...
Answer: Hi Karl, yes, you can. If you are already an owner of the vehicle, you can order a duplicate or replacement title if you lost your original copy. If you need to transfer ownership into your name, you can also request a transfer of the title only without applying for a registration. We provide both of these services in Florida, California, and Pennsylvania. New York services will be online soon. Visit eTags.com to choose the state and service. If your vehicle is not currently registered in any of those state or you are not transferring that title to that state, you can still do the same service directly with the DMV in the state you are in. Thanks for your question and best of luck.
Answer: Hello Patricia, thanks for your question and our apologies on the delay in reply as we do not check this third party, independent website regularly. You certainly can order a duplicate Florida title on our website by visiting https://www.etags.com/app/fl/print-title. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by phone or email were we promise to get back to you in a prompt time frame. Take Care and Drive Safely.
Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. We currently offer renewal service online in California, Maryland, and Florida. You will be able to still use our service if your vehicle is registered in California or Florida. Please keep in mind that the DMV will require we collect the past due amount along with the fee to bring your tag current through the next year. If your vehicle is registered in Maryland, the MVA requires you renew in person if you are more than 6 months late so you will not be able to complete the order online with eTags. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. If you would like to no longer receive emails from eTags, you can click on the "Unsubscribe" link located at the bottom of any email you received from us. We can also unsubscribe you if you would like to send us your order ID or tag number and name on the order. Answer: Hi Wilma, thank you for your message. We apologize for the delayed reply as this site (sitejabber.com) is not owned or operate by eTags and we do not monitor communications via this independent reviews website regularly. Our support team can respond to inquires within 24 hours if we are contacted directly by phone or email. On our website, both before and after and order is submitted for Florida registered vehicle, we itemized our service fees and we disclose that your state registration fee is to be determined (TBD). The Florida registration fee is not listed on the website becuase, since we are not the DMV, we have to send your plate information to a state licensed agency to calculate that amount and that is done offline. We do provide a resource before the order is placed that allow you to estimate the amount of your state registration fee and we also disclose on our website that we are not owned or operated by any government agency. We apologize if you missed that information prior to completing your order. Your registration was already renewed on 3/24/17 and this cannot be reversed with the state DMV. Your tags were already shipped to the address you provided us at the time you placed your order. Please contact our customer support team directly by phone or email and they will be able to assist you with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
Hi Kathianne, sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience. However, our fees are disclosed before the order is placed and you can choose not to complete your order with us. And we would argue that not everyone can wait 5 days and some do indeed people have urgent situations or can use our pay over-time payment options. We understand though that your situation is different and respect your opinion to use a different, cheaper renewal option. Wishing you a great new year. Take Care and Drive Safely.
