I'm hoping to keep this rating! They have been extremely slow getting their garments made and shipped out recently. I need these to dresses for a wedding in about 6 weeks, so we will see if they deliver in time! I'm hoping so! They have been my dress go-to for years. It's just been in the last year that they really have done a poor job of getting the dresses to me in a timely manner. One order came 5 months late.
I am thoroughly disappointed with this company. Twice now my orders have not been processed in a timely manner, there has been no communication of delays or an apology for failing to produce the ordered items in the timeline they originally specified. To add insult to injury, 2.5 months later, 2 phone calls, and 3 emails later, still no refund or verification of order cancellation. They are basically taking your money without filling your orders. Stay away!
I ordered 2 dresses in standard sizes at the beginning of December. Zero communication about a delay. After I emailed asking about the order they gave me the same bs fabric excuse they are apparently giving everyone. How can all of your fabric have issues? How can you run ads and sales when you can't even fulfill the orders you have? I have a number of great dresses from them so it's really disappointing to see this happen. Do not order from Eshakti, you may never get your order. I've filed a PayPal dispute.

I ordered a dress beginning of February 2024. I received no communication at all. I just cancelled my order because they still dont have the fabric. This is the second time i have had issues and their customer service is awful. Very slow response phone calls are not returned or answered. I have been a customer for many years. Their dresses are great if you can get it made and sent to you. Also when measuring if you want it to fit tight then give exact measurements. If you want movement room add some space on your measurements.

I returned my dress due to poor fit. It has been weeks since I returned and I have not received a refund. I emailed customer service as well as called and left voicemail. No response from the company
Shakti offers great product and customization for difficult sizes, but beware if you don't live in the USA. The website said free returns, but it's only for items posted in the US. My customized order didn't fit properly and to return it I had to pay for my own postage return as well as lose money on the customizing fees, duties, and foreign exchange. All in all I was out quite a sum of money.
I tried a couple times to get everything right. First go round I put in a had a 40 bust and everything. Was made 4 inches too small
I wear an American 10-12. I order size 16 with a 41 inch. Everything was tight and unwearable. One dress has surged seams on the out side of the dress and it is just awful
The packages are sent through some weird company and they just throw them

I was told 20 days was the amount of time the garment would take, even though the delivery date showed it would arrive in 14. When it arrived 25 days from purchase, which was several days after the event I needed the dress for, no apologies or offerings were made by the company. As a first time customer, this does not make for a good first impression

Use caution when dealing with this company. Your phone calls will go to voicemail, and your emails will be ignored. I've been trying to get an ETA for a dress I ordered almost a month ago, but I have yet to get a response. Hopefully, it will arrive before I leave for my vacation. I ordered the dress specifically for this trip.

I ordered the dress because it said it would arrive in time for a wedding I am attending. Then I received an email about a week before I expected it saying it would NOT arrive by the date I needed it. When I called, the CSR was nice, but no other solutions or offers were extended. I was told the dress was being embroidered in India and there was no way to expedite the shipping.
Bummer because it was a pretty dress and I was excited to not have to have it shortened
I was looking to re-order the same wonderful skirt I got last year, but there was no previous order to my name. I know I made it. I am wearing the skirt.
My address information is still there, but all of my sizing information has been forgotten. Ok, so I measure myself again. But then I have to re-calculate every value from cm to inches, which is not a unit I am familiar with. I hope I didn't mess it up, but the skirts sure are very large.
Finally, the payment had to be made in US dollars, which costs me additional money for a foreign currency payment.

Customer service has been good, but I was expecting the dress to fit to size. It runs small and looks way too tight on my body. I thought the material was a breathable cotton with embroidery but it's some type of rayon/poly blend with a silk screen pattern. I should have read it more carefully. I'll never wear it.
My first order of 3 dresses, I did not like and will never wear. Unfortunately it was past the return date when I tried them on.

You will never receive your order in 30 days due to "fabric quality". They really need to stop advertising false delivery times.

I recently ordered two dresses in similar styles and the same size from eShakti. One dress, I returned because it was far too large. The other dress I really like and fits the way I enjoy, but the fabric smells bad. I am afraid it may retain an odor for a long time, as stretch fabrics often do. This is a shame.
I feel like there used to be better deals at eShakti. Now with shipping and prices rising, it isn't as appealing to shop there. I also don't want to be harassed about referring people endlessly. If that's the way to get deals on this site, I just won't shop there.
I had received dress I ordered. Fit was ok but length of sleeves was not what I chose. I emailed numerous times and also responded to an email from company wanting to know how the dress fit. No response at all from company.
This is the third time now, the third order in a row, where my special instructions have not been followed. I asked only for simple things, such as a particular length for my dresses, and received an email that those instructions would be followed, yet again they were not. I asked for the dresses to be made 45 inches long. They were 41.5 inches long. Really getting frustrated with eShakti.

You are very slow on responding. I asked for my dresses to be there by the 20th. You said no. I asked for you to send me the two that were clearly ready. No response. It took several tries from a nice customer service rep to finally get my dresses. Still didn't get the geo print. Asked for it to be cancelled if easier. Was it done? Will I get a full credit? The world may never know...on the plus side liked the two I got! Although the pleated one was a bit too big to be a 14.

In the beginning I got beautiful clothes. NOT now. I ordered denim and the material is so thin it's like gauze. No matter what height I say I am the clothes are too long or too short. My last order instead of being shipped FedEx was some sort of UPS and took 2 months to arrive. IM DONE. TIRED OF WASTING MY TIME AND $.
Item received after the estimated delivery date and no response to my email asking for an updated delivery date. The top was well made and quality material but did not fit well. Overall it was very disappointing.

The fabric was really nice and the top was well made. The fit was horrible. Tight in the stomach and big in the bust. I have a large chest, so I normally have the opposite problem.
Placed an order in mid to late June but the promise that the items will be delivered by 11 July. I bought the items to take with me on vacation, and gave myself plenty of time to be able to send the items back if there were any fit issues however my items did not arrive on time, and there was no explanation given as to the delay. When I contacted customer service I was told that they had an issue with the fabric and that it would be an even longer wait until I got my items. When my items finally did arrive none of them fit me properly even though I had ordered the correct size.
Customer service took a week to respond to my question and then gave me a very vague answer.
Do you like to gamble? If you have unlimited months to wait, unlimited time to call and email, then ship returns, you may eventually end up with a lovely, custom dress, $$$. Don't count on it though! You'll pay for custom and your first round will be unrecognizable- polar opposite of your body measurements- you'll send it back for remakes that still may or may not fit. You'll miss the important event or trip you ordered 2 months + in advance for. They'll almost never answer the phone, they'll take 3+ days to respond to any email, without actually helping. You'll wait indefinitely to get your money back. (Your blue envelope with return label and measuring tape? Empty. Then they'll claim UPS is the problem for return label printing, so you keep waiting, while they keep your money). You'll still need to go to a store and spend additional money in person to buy clothes that you needed for this current season, while you wait, so now you've paid twice. You can gamble...this may be stunning when done, but you'll have to save it for the following year because the current season will already be ending. Oh, you'll have to get the bizarre smell of dung out of every last garment, every time, no exceptions. Factor that dry cleaning bill in to your budget too and make time for extra showers even to try on. There are other custom vendors to try. For this hassle, I may just hire a dressmaker locally, instead. So many unacceptable problems with eshakti!
Love the concept, I made an order of two dresses and a pair of pants. One of the dresses was gorgeous so I kept it, and I sent the other two back, they sent an email that they received the return, but it has now been six months, and despite repeated emails I have not yet received a refund for those things. I thought I found my new clothing source, but, alas, I must keep looking…
UPDATE: After repeated emails and even Facebook messaging, a refund was finally issued for items returned months ago. Still not sure if I can trust them enough to order again!

Ordered 3 dresses. In the special orders placed the date I absolutely needed them by. Said I could even just do one of the three dresses if getting all three delivered by the date would be an issue. They said there would be no issue. They said it'd arrive 3 days before the event date and that they would send me a tracking number via email when they shipped. Day before the agreed upon date, still no email, no update on the UI on the website. I emailed them. Heard nothing for a few days. It shipped out later that day and failed to arrive in time. I didn't get a tracking order until after I asked and by then, it was too late. Had they let me know just a few days earlier that they wouldn't have made it on time, I wouldn't have been left scrambling last minute for a dress (or at least given a couple more days to find one).
I sent them a follow up email regarding the issue. All I received as an apology was a $25 discount towards my NEXT purchase, after I spent almost $300 on this order.
