The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

I would not recommend it... Waste of money and time.

Eharmony is the worst site I have ever spent my time and money on. They dont provide the service they say they do and in their own words, are Not obligated to provide the service you think youre getting. I wish I would have seen even half of the bad reviews Ive found since, before signing up. I could have saved my time and a ton of money. I also found that the company not only has those paid commercials to show you how great they are, but they PAY for good reviews. Most of the positive reviews I found before singing up, were from compensated 3rd party reviewers and not from actual customers. I was giving the site an honest effort to. I sat through the giant questionnaire, took the time to fill out my profile honestly and completely, and was instantly disappointed. You cant search for anyone so youre stuck with whatever the site recommends. However if your matches have absolutely nothing to do with what youre looking for, such is my case, tough luck because there is nothing the company will do about it. Literally, because their exact wording was something like, we do not guarantee our service to work nor are we obligated to ensure a satisfactory experience. So now Im stuck with an inbox full of email notifications of women I have no idea how were chosen for me, with nothing in common with me at all, much less a desire to be romantically involved with and the companys response is an unwavering, Oh well, too bad. Pay us anyway. I cant close the account because of the weird payment plan they have me on and they wont let me change anything to get even close to a desired result. So Im locked into either fighting them in court or paying an entire years dues to cancel after just 1 month.
SCAM SCAM SCAM says you can cancel at any time but if you can't until you payed your full payments... I live in NY and options from MI were coming in and all parts of Canada... Disgusting plus it changes your settings and shows people 10 years out of your requested range. Horrible, plus. God luck findng someone to contact
I signed up for 3 months because it was the least expensive option, but after two weeks realised that there were only about 7 matches in my area. I wrote, asking to switch from the 3 month contract to the 1-month contract (more expensive for the month), as I didn't want to get any more 'matches' from people 200 miles away from me! They have refused and I can't really see why. I said I would pay for the (so far useless) month, but they will NOT negotiate this. That's bad business and I am going to make it MY business to discourage people from signing up with them.
HORRIBLE, TOOK MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT FOR A 1 YEAR SUBSCRIPTION WHEN I ONLY SIGNED UP FOR 3 MONTHS. THEN SENT ME MATCHES FROM 3 STATES AWAY! WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND A SCAM! DON'T DO IT!
This is truly the least productive web site I have ever used. I am beginning to think the pictures of the clients are bogus. I have been on other websites and always had a lot of action, This one, in the last 2 months... no action. Not even one contact. Four years ago I used it and ended up with stalker.
I met my fiance on eHarmony. He was the fourth guy I spoke to. The others were OK. The only problem with online dating is that everyone isn't as serious or as laid back as you are so you do run into mostly people who aren't your match. But I found my match and we are happy and in love. It matched me with specifically what I was looking for.
How's that for a one sentence review! They get your money and they you're in for 3 months! There are hardly ANY matches in MY area... just way around the US. I'm in for all the 3 months, to the tune of $210 and it stinks! I want to get out of this site!
I was on the site twice. Once in 2013 for 11 months and again in 2016 for 10 months.
I received very few direct messages and went about trying to talk to multiple men from the site. I emailed or contacted 100+ matches and received 5 responses over the 10 months.
None of the men that responded were in my general area (200 miles or less) so we did not meet in person. One is an online friend now.
Many of the matches had very little education (less than College), were handsome or very handsome but didn't respond, wrote rude things in their profiles or asked me for sex through the email portion of our conversations.
I wouldn't recommend this to someone else who was looking to date.
Thanks.
I decided to give eharmony a try since my cousin met his wife on the site. HUGE mistake. The men in my area were all divorced and at least ten years older than me. No big deal I though. I'll just call them and cancel my membership. Haha boy was I wrong. They would not cancel my membership. They said the only way to do that was to pay the balance on my contract. Contract? What contract? It's a f&$@!?& dating website! They claimed that the only way to cancel and receive a refund was if I did it thru email. I'm currently in a 7 day waiting period to receive a decision on whether or not I'm eligible for a refund. Wow. Thanks eharmony. If you honestly want to get on a great dating website with quality matches. Try bumble. Or seriously anything but eharmony. They should rename themselves eharmoney. Because that's all they want from you. Also both service representatives I talked to were incredibly rude.
I was charged $111 on my first day of the 3 day free trial. I immediately called to cancel and eharmony said they couldnt find my account. Then they charged me a renewal for 24 month subscription for a total of $365 and refused to cancel my membership. The agents on the phone are extremely rude and unhelpful and now my case is being escalated to the BBB.
Just don't bother as it's a total waste of time and money. Better to go to a library as you will have more chance to find your partner than using EHarmony!
EHarmony commercials claim that they try to match you with compatible people. However, the reality is that they spam you with everyone who is just signing up. I got matched with people who had only answered one question. A typical profile had responses like: "What are you thankful for?" Answer: "Life" "What can you not live without? "Air."
Now, when building my profile, I specifically said that I'm looking for intelligent, well-read, lucid people. But, what I was being matched with were people from all over the country (way out of my preferred area) usually 10 years older than the range I selected (40-50) with profiles that looked like they had been built in 45 seconds at best.
EHarmony is a rip-off. Sure, a couple people might get extraordinarily lucky, but most will pay hundreds of dollars to strike out.
In 3 months, was catfished by 2 fake profiles. Most matches presented were only about 50-60% compatible after all answering the prescreening questions. No matches here. Disapponted
Almost all the profiles are fake. I recognized a couple people on the site and contacted them, they said that they haven't used the site in months or years. They took down their profile only to have eharmony keep the profile up to entice idiots like me to pay for it. Also the algorithm makes no sense, don't expect matches that are compatible.
I was on Eharmony for 3 month. I got responses from 2 different Nigerian scammers. I reported them to Eharmony and the profiles are still active. Apparently they just care about taking money and not offering a quality product. This company is irresponsible. No response from matches, only from scammers
This company steals yodur money, they charge you for a service you don't get, Even after you cancel your account
Let me start off by saying that this website is complete horse $#*!, that and there customer service. They'll steal your money and then continue to charge you AFTER your subscription ends. If you just purchased a subscription within 3 days i highly recommend you to call and cancel it. Otherwise your leaving yourself wide open to get $#*!ed by the company and there bull$#*! policy.
I do not recommend eHarmony. The longer I'm on eHarmony the fewer matches I get. In the beginning, I called eHarmony several times for help to get more matches. Nothing worked. Now, after 3 months I get no new matches. The questions sent back and forth to meet matches is silly. I have met two matches going straight to direct communication. EHarmony is an expensive education. Christian Mingle has been much easier and more successful. I get new matches daily on Christian Mingle and it cost so much less.
I have used both - eHarmony and Mingle2day - last month and they are both petty solid in different ways. To be honest: I don't understand all the negative reviews. There are thousands of dating sites and you will hardly find any site which is better!
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
