I have loved using the sample sizes on smaller projects to see how well they work. Of the color samples I have tried I have been favorably impressed with all but 2 of the colors. Those 2 colors, Purple Hollyhock (which is actually pink) and Citron do not cover surfaces without multiple coats. The others did the trick w/ just one coat. The other colors I chose are very cheery & I would order those again.
The paint is high quality and very low odor. I am not ultra sensitive to smells/chemicals but 1) I care about environmental health and my toddler's health and 2) the experience of painting is SO much better when you aren't inhaling fumes for hours or even days. I have ordered about 6 gallons of paint so far. One of them was mixed incorrectly and the customer service was fabulous. They even have an after hours answering service and responded to my email within hours. They overnighted a corrected paint gallon at no charge.
I received the polyurethane quickly and it was well packaged but it is very difficult to work with, it does not self level shows brush strokes and the semi gloss has a satin finish, I had to sand it off and use minwax instead. So disappointed, especially since I have refinishing to do in my house and hate wearing a gas mask.
I bought the white primer and white lullaby paint to re-paint two cribs. Unfortunately it is taking me 3 coats so far (4 including the primer) and it is still not covering the old colours.
I have decided to not continue as the multiple coats of paint do not look good, making my cribs look cheap, and I have decided to buy two new cribs.
I purchased a gallon of air purifier vanish and a quart of pickling white stain. To my surprise, the gallon of vanish arrived in 2 days! I have finished half of my kitchen cabinet fronts. The result is very pleasing to me as an amateur with stain and vanish. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in buying product s from Ecospaint!
I love the colors, the option to try samples, the ease of ordering, the promptness, and the quality of the paint. And unlike other paints that omit fumes, this paint didn't. Super nice when we have kids in the house and for painting while pregnant!
I've been searching for the perfect non-toxic sealer I could use on the fuax rock hides I was making for my two leopard geckos. Every sealer I found was toxic, till I found eco paints. I love how eco friendly and non-toxic the sealer is. The packaging was very secure, I was surprised. I'll be a eco paints customer for life.
I was so happy with the ecospaint I purchased last week. It's a miracle for me as I have asthma & suffer from ordinary paint fumes. No fumes or nasty breathing issues as from ordinary paints. LOVE IT!
I received my package only to open it and discover it was meant for someone else. I emailed and within minutes I received a response.
My correct color was shipped and I was told to use or donate the Gallon I received in error. I have already received my correct color and look forward to start painting!
My experience with ecos paint was exceptional. I followed up with a call after ordering. The response was within minutes. I called again before my delivery came and again the response in a phone call back very prompt. I even received several e-mails to follow up to ask if I received my purchase. Thank you Ecos. For all your help. Margaret.
Interior Anti-Slip Floor Paint has a terrible smell which is mostly like from a toxic chemical. I have to wear my N95 while using it. And this is zero VOC! But the smell is more terrible than those with VOC?
I cannot believe this!
I never used paint like this previously until finding out about Ecos Paints. I have used Ecos Paints so far for about 10 gallons of different colors on different orders and now will continue to be a loyal customer. It's nice to find a paint that matches my nontoxic lifestyle.
EcosPaints has been my go-to supplier for non-toxic varnish for my exterior wood projects. This summer I spent my extended quarantine hand-sanding about 600 square feet of 2 docks. And I used their Satin Exterior Varnish. I'm based North of Seattle, and I think they are based on the East Coast: wouldn't know it based on the delivery speed. They make the product on order, so to make, ship and get it to me quickly, it matters. Plus, they follow up with shipping updates, and check in after it got delivered.
They are my go-to producer, really appreciate the accountability and the professionalism in a time where both seem rare.
So nice to find a company producing a quality product right here in the USA. I used the varnish to cover some cornhole boards I had decorated. They look great and have just the right amount of slickness with three coats of varnish. Thanks Ecopaints!
I came across this product after applying a floor paint to my concrete basement floor in my den. I caught hell from my wife as the smell was so bad. It lasted for weeks! We came across Ecos as I was desperate for something that was high quality and low odor.
This product far exceeded my expectations. First off, there is virtually no odor, even when you first apply it. My wife can smell everything and she was not even aware that I painted! Second, while the product is very watery when opening the can, stir it for several minutes on and off and eventually it will start to thicken up. It applies so perfectly, not watery, but just thick enough that it was very easy to apply. Thirdly, it dries so quick! It was dry to the touch in less than hour. Coverage for 1 gallon, I did my concrete floor in basement den 12x20,2 coats. I used Exterior Porch and Floor Paint, Color: Fall In Season
The products are odor free. We used the stain and varnish on a DIY vent hood. The application was easy. We are truly amazed! We applied one single coat of stain "Fallen Leaves" and one coat of satin varnish. We are going to install new floors, and we are definitely going to use ECOS Products.
I got my paint samples in the mail. The colors were so vibrant and beautiful. I chose different shades of green because I'm planning on painting my livingroom and couldn't decide which shade of green I wanted. I found the perfect shade that both my husband and I love. Thank you!
I searched so hard for paint that was vegan-friendly and wasn't toxic for my baby. I have used several colors of ECOS paint and wood stain and am so satisfied! Delivery is always quick and the quality is always great. Thank you for making ethical paint!
I really liked the paint samples you send me I liked only one of the paint samples I got to paint my bathroom with thanks for the samples it will make my job easier now and the color I will paint the bathroom.
The sheens and the quality are awful. I had a custom match and it is not the same and the company insists it is but I have proof on the outside of the cans that it is not the same colorant as the Benjamin Moore Dove White. Now I have to have everything repainted and the initial paint job was $7,000.00 I am very unhappy all and all.
Dear Joanne,
Thank you for your feedback.
All manufacturers use different pigments and therefore formulations to produce a color.
This is why our pigment formulation is different to that of Benjamin Moore, for the same color.

Dear Jess,
Thank you for contacting us.
We typically recommend applying one coat of primer and then two coats of paint.
If the coverage is not uniform at that point, there is possibly an issue either with the application, or the substrate.
In particular, for a crib, if the original finish has not been removed, it could be impeding the lay down of new paint and primer.
Factory finishes on cribs often contain solvents, or oils, which are not compatible with a water based paint or primer.
We hope that this helps.
Happy Painting!
