I rented a car in St. Maarten for 3 weeks. I did not have a return date but was informed no problem to adjust the return date. I did return the car after 2 weeks as I had to leave. When I checked my credit card they charged me for the full amount of the rental IN ADVANCE and their customer service is no service at all. If they even do respond to you, they will give you some buill$#*! story abut how they are checking and will get back to you. They never do. I have written them several times and keep getting the same response over several months. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favour and go directly to the rental car company and not these 3rd party thieves.
They don't tell you that after two hours past your pick up time your car is given away and they label you as a "no show". So basically you get screwed for your whole vacation that you booked for a week in a place you aren't familiar with in some cases. I don't recommend at all.
Cutting a long story short... Ordered and paid for a Mondeo Estate, was given a Focus Estate... As this was in another category I requested a refund for the difference between what I paid for and what I got... Economy Car Rentals (ECR) have acknowledged I am entitled to a refund, however, they do not refund me... It is the hire company 'Nogleggiare'... I've been trying to get a refund now for over two months and to date I still don't have one... ECR say they have asked Nogleggiare and escalated the request but I am getting nowhere... I've held back from leaving a bad review as I believe good customer service and satisfactory resolution can restore faith but I'm just not getting it... Don't use either of these companies as if you have a problem it won't get resolved... Shameful.
Rented in Honolulu. Did not know they are offsite. Nobody told us where to find the shuttle to their site or that it was offsite. Shuttle drivers were extremely rude! Car was horrible - phone charger did not work, car unlock lights did not work. Nobody informed us that the shuttle to the airport does not start operating until 8 am. Too bad if you have a flight to catch. NEVER AGAIN!

They charged me a deposit of 110 euros, but not one penny went to my car rental. When I picked up the car, I had to pay the full price. What a ripoff. I was charged an extra 110 Doris simply for booking through ECR when I could have booked directly through the rental company
The price was great, the service at the airport was fast.
The accident treatment was quick, the appraiser arrived in an hour and a half to a remote village in the mountains

On the voucher it clearly states what is payable at the rental desk... what it should say is... This is what is payable at the rental desk PLUS whatever the rental company charges for insurance. The free insurance these bastards give you is not free at all, the added insurance was almost double the cost of the rental car itself.
You can be sure I will not be using your service ever again. You are a bunch of cheats.
I reserved and fully pre-paid for a car, but when I got to the airport pickup desk, they wouldn't release the car because the credit card I used for the payment is not one of the approved ones. Never mind that I already fully paid for the rental and they accepted the payment. They wouldn't let me use another card, and most importantly they refused to refund my payment.

Rarely the stations accepts debit cards and in view in the terms we advise of the payment requirements but also which cards the station will accept. In your reservation the driver had to present a valid credit card with enough funds for the payment and for the deposit. We do regret the distress however it is the customer's responsibility to check the requirements and provide the right documents and a valid credit card to collect the car.

The provider was not waiting for us. We had to call and after 30 minutes of dialing and then another 45 minutes of waiting provider arrived. Then the car was not as described (suzuki swift or similar) but received axia smth, trashed - and I mean literally trashed, scratches all over, mirror half broken, back light broken. The cleanness was also low, I dont know what they did in the car, but it had on the roof inside lots of brown lines and spots. Provider refused to change, telling "it is similar". Another amazing bonus was that local driving license was ready, although I have emailed docs to economycarrentals AND provider, they have even confirmed by email everything. Since economycarrentals didn't assist in any way I think it's the last time we are using this company, support never replied to any emails.
I booked a car with my debit car and paid a pre payment, when i eent to collect the car, the company cancelled the booking cos they required a credit car, i asked the Economycarrental to refund my money, as the booking did not work. They refused, cos of their policy. If someone is travelling, je wont have time to read long Policies terms.

Scam artists... the will charge you a reservation fee and will try to take that fee and not add it to rental... and more games they play that i forgot the details since i used their website about 3 yrs ago and never will use it and if you unsubscribe from the email list they will come back to u trying to rip u off again hoping u frgt about them

I booked a rental with them through Hotwire and my bank contacted me right away informed my of fraudulent activity on my card. So I contacted Economy right away and they told me they would refund me the amount and send me an email.
The customer agent Javiera Escobar made a spelling mistake on my email, instead of spelling Hotmail she spelled hotmil. Make no sense. When I called her she rudely told me to send an email and hung up the phone.
Honestly the worst customer service I've encountered, no professionalism or respect.
They took $358 from me and no update on when I will be getting it.

I gave a deposit of $296.21 to economy car rentals on 28 March 2023, when I collected care it was not deducted by Drivalia they charged me 1136,63 pounds on 10 April 2023 - rental agreement number *******.
I collected the car on April 2023 but due to technical difficulties the flight left Brisbane 3 hours late resulting in a 24 hour delay with my collecting flight to Glasgow.
Economy car remtalsacted as a broker for Drivalia car hire who advised me that they were unmake to hold the original car I had booked and only had a car to two category higher rent resulting in my costs for hiring a car increasing by 390 pounds.
I asked Drivalia about the deposit Economy care rentals had taken and can it be deducted they advised I had to take that up with Economy car rentals?
Economy car rentals do the right thing and reimburse my deposit

No, this car rental is offsite at Denver international Airport. The shuttle that takes you to the car rental only comes around every 40 minutes compared to the other car rental shuttles that usually come around every 10 to 15 minutes.
I prepaid my reservation and after finally Getting to the counter after waiting 45 minutes for the shuttle. I was told that since my travels included an out-of-state portion that I would not be able to rent from them as they did not allow their cars to go out of state I had no idea that this was a condition And was told them I should of read find print. I was basically left stranded offsite from the airport as the shuttle was not returning to the airport and had to call an Uber. I then rebooked with Avis and finally was on the road at 2 o'clock. My plane landed at 10:30 and I should've been on the road by noon.
Maybe cheaper but not worth it.
I booked car in Phuket Airport using Website EconomyCarRentals. I paid 21$ (prepayment) using my debit card. When I was booking there was no information about the necessity to provide credit (no debit) card.Then after my payment they sent me voucher where they added: "Please check the required Driver Requirements in this location as well as the Payment part with details about accepted credit cards and guarantee amount which will be reserved/charged on the credit card of the driver, in the terms and conditions you have accepted and have been sent to you with this voucher." But I have already payed! Paid with debit card! They accepted it! Then I visited office of Thai Rent car (provider) in airport in Phuket. They couldn't give me the car because I don't have credit card. I have only debit card. And then EconomyCarRentals said that my payment is unrefundable. They said that I had to have credit card, not debit. But how can I know it? Why did you take my debit payment!? It is horrible! This is not a good business. They just take client's money without providing service. I paid but I didn't get car. Not recommend them! Awfull!
After you have signed up they pretend you do not have a contract with them, Well you certainly have not signed up with anybody else so this is the first part of you being conned. They claim in bold red letters that their car rental partner will meet you with you name on a sign. No one to meet me, no sign, no name, no shuttle service to rental station, no car. Credit card debited with excess premium cover. Cost of taxi to local destination in Zakynthos 30 Euro.

When I arrived to rent my car, the local rental company told me that they didn't have a car available for me and that they told already economycarrental about it.
They gave me proof that they did.
Result:
No car for me and I already paid online the fees for the booking (not the rental fees, the booking fees).

I contacted economy car rental to make a claim 3 months ago, never had a single answer from them...
Attention is crooks. They declare full insurance with zero excess in Cyprus and on the spot it turns out to be untrue. I note that the ECR's zero excess was not to be guaranteed by the ECR only by the Enterprise in Cyprus under this agreement. ECR collected only additional money for insurance of mirrors, windows and chassis. And the excess in the amount of EUR 600 was for all car damage. ECR does not respond to emails.

Each car rental company has different policy regarding the delay of the customer.
If the customer does not show up in time or does not call the car rental company to let them know about the delay, they have the right to cancel the reservation.
In the confirmation voucher is stated the following: if for any reason there is deviation from the pick-up / return times or dates, extra charges could incur or even the desk / office be closed or the car might not be available any longer (essential to inform the car rental company in case of delays) and your booking treated as No Show.
