Easirent's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to hidden fees, poor communication, and service delays. Many customers reported unpleasant experiences with rude staff, long wait times for vehicle pickup, and unexpected charges that were not disclosed at the time of booking. However, there were a few instances where employees provided helpful service, turning negative situations into positive outcomes. Overall, the sentiment leans heavily towards frustration and disappointment, indicating a need for improved transparency, customer service training, and operational efficiency to enhance the rental experience.

I usually have a good experience with this company. I rented a car and was charged three extra times for the car rental. When I called the local rental office, I was told to have my credit card company refund the money. The only way that would happen was if I claimed charges as fraudulent. I was then told by local office that customer service center could only reverse charges. I sent them an email and received a response that email might not be viewed due to COVID and lack of staffing. I am still trying to get a refund.
We rented a vehicle from the Ft. Lauderdale location and drove to Key Largo, 3 days into our trip the battery died and we could NOT get a hold of ANYONE. After 2 days of calling I finally reached someone who then told me to call my insurance company and file a claim... WTH. HORRIBLE Customer service and cheap low end cars! Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE but here.
JAY & PETER AT TELESALES & JOHN & TEAM AT STANSTED AIRPORT ARE SO SO HELPFUL & KIND SUPER COMPANY, I CANT BELIEVE HOW FRIENDLY THEY ALL ARE AND THE CARS ARE TOP QUALITY & I WAS GIVEN AN UPGRADE WITHOUT EVEN ASKING.
WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
I paid online for a vehicle that didn't exist and still waiting for a refund after 5 weeks! Can't get hold of any customer service agents. Extremely frustrating. Will never use this company again. Disgusting.
The car was dirty on pick up. A pair of underwear in the boot. One tyre with "low pressure" warning at pickup, By the end of the rental we had low pressure warning's on all tires and had to replace one.
I waited for over two hours to get a car. They tricked us about liability insurance. Terrible customer service. Two months after we rented, they tried to charge us the Florida toll penalty, which they had no proof. This company is absolutely the worst rental company ever.
Easirent in West palm beach Florida is the Worst company EVER they have no customer service what so ever. Car was horrible and that short $#*! of a manager I believe his name is GORDON he needs to go to charm school because he thinks he is dealing with animals. I see Florida employs every and anyone I have never been to a car rental where they write down your personal car insurance policy info. Fraud scammers, close that whole business down. Didn't deserve a rating
They will lie to you so they can steal money from you. Example: West Palm Beach office told me if I didn't get the Florida sunpass to drive on Florida roads they will give me a ticket. I never seen a toll road on the way to my destination or on the way back to drop vehicle off. My relatives in Florida said I didn't need a sunpass. Easirent didn't even install a sunpass in the vehicle. Pay a little more and rent from a reputable company.
This is the worst car rental company I have ever seen. Have been traveling for over 40 years
They are a disaster, if you have a choice between Easirent and walking. Walk!
Holy crap HORRIBLE company! January I went down to Florida with my boyfriend. Hour late picking us up from airport, waited 2 hours in the store for vehicle, or vehicle was different then the one we ordered, a person dropped it off and the company gave it to us dirty & broken( a jeep)they made us buy all these extra insurance, pass for the hwy, big deposit. I prepaid for everything through a third party and got a GPS and when I got the the rental company they said we don't have that stuff even though they charged me $80.The company KNEW it was broken and said it was fine. On the way back at the end of our trip when we dropped the vehicle off it was raining so we couldn't even put the jeep top up. So that great. Honestly this was a huge disppointment. It was one thing after another with this company. Today I got a letter in the mail from there insurance company saying we broke the jeep and that we owe them $3500 USD. She place is such a scam & I suggest NO ONE uses this company... Learn your lesson through me. Absolutely horrible. 0 stars! Anyone else?
Got to the airport. Shuttle never came had to get a Lyft ride to the place and once there no one at the counter. Waited for over an hour and no one ever showed up to work. Called the number numerous times to get no answer. So had to get another Lyft ride to our hotel. From there rented from thrifty and got a car with no issues and fast service. So don't use Easirent at all unless you want your vacation to start with nothing but headaches!
Company to avoid, wrong prices, not far from a scam, bad people, not welcoming, unclear information...
Never again! They were $90 less than anybody, but wasn't worth it. Picked up vehicle in West Palm Airport, but the location is off site. Waited 25 mins to get picked up with their shuttle. Vehicle had an 1/8th tank of gas. When I told the guy going over the checklist, he said just bring it back with the same level. Right. But I had to get gas immediately. Dropped of ofter 4 weeks at Ft. Lauderdale airport. Had a 6AM flight,, dropped vehicle at 420AM. Again, they are off site, and didn't open till 5am. Had to Uber to airport. Just try calling the branch, you'll get a laugh. Took 4 trys... just kept ringing.
Rented a car from LHR, upgraded, long wait, car not serviced, dents scrapes and dirty interior, was dark so could not see. Poor reporting of the car condition. Return at EMA - jobsworth staff, resist overtones and uninterested in service. Never hire from these wide boys! Finally n refund as I was two weeks late. Despite all the photographs apparently service lights are normal?. Cheap is not better stick with reputable companies.
Reserved car on priceline. Total around $92 for 4 days (should have known it was too good to be true). Used debit card (money comes out immediately and no charge on their part for use), was told there would be a $70 charge to use the card and I HAD to be put on as a second driver even though I wasn't driving the vehicle (husband was). Tried to get me for the insurance but I had a copy of my policy to show my insurance covers it (they werent expecting that). All in all total price after all of the "other fees" was $251. On top of that we waited at the airport for 45 mins for the shuttle to come pick us up (advertised every 15-20 mns), The only reason I gave it a second star is because Juana was very helpful in at least giving us a free upgrade to a bigger, nicer vehicle. She was their only saving grace.
Absolutely horrendous. We've rented with easirent before and had no issue, but never through Luton. We booked a cat b car and were given an a, with only 4 seats instead of 5. The man who gave us the car pointed out a few small surface scratches and insisted he didn't need to write then down as they could not have a nail put in them they were considered superficial. As it was raining we were also required to traverse a lake to enter their office. Upon our return they claimed one of these very same scratches was deep and we would be charged £195 for it. The manager was ignorant, rude and would not accept anything we said, he refused to discuss this with me as the car was in my partner's name, he laughed at me when I stated I would make a complaint to head office. Absolutely atrocious, never again! My guess is they'll wax the insignificant scuff and con the next person!
Car is bad. Customer service is worse. Car is messed up and won't do anything for us. Trying to return early. Manager hung up.
Awful. 20 minutes to get picked up at airport. Almost two hours to get car once finally got to the counter. 3 agents for dozens of people. RIDICULOUS.
I booked a car rental for London Stansted through Sunny Cars (paid at the time of booking), unaware that this was in fact an Easirent rental. The voucher received from Sunny Cars clearly states that the rental price includes insurance cover. Upon arrival in Stansted I travelled to the car rental village by shuttle bus only to discover that there was no Sunny Cars or EasiRent desk there. I then called the telephone number given to me and was asked to wait outside for collection. I did so in freezing night-time temperatures with my wife and young daughter and approximately 20 minutes later a car arrived and brought us to a relatively remote location (a further 10-15 minutes away) in a small industrial estate. I was then asked to put an additional charge of 151.97 (126 pounds sterling) on my credit card and my understanding was that this was a security deposit which would be fully refunded upon return of the car in perfect condition with a full tank of fuel. The car was returned in perfect condition with a full tank of fuel! Upon receipt of my credit card statement some time later I realised that this sum has not been refunded. My wife called EasiRent head office and was told that since this is a third party rental agreement the additional cost (3 times higher than the original rental cost!) is an insurance charge! This represents an extreme case of misleading if not downright fraudulent activity as the car rental cost 213.97 instead of the 62 advertised (4 times higher than the cost at which we booked the car!) I have rented many cars over the years and this is the first time such a scenario has arisen. May I also say that the service representative my wife spoke with in EasiRent was most unhelpful and verged on being rude. He continuously asked her what her problem was!?! I contacted Sunny Cars who opened an investigation' and came back to me over 3 weeks later to say that the credit card I had used to book the car with did not work for the deposit and that I had signed off on the additional charge of 151.97 as an additional insurance' and would thus NOT be refunded. At no time was this made clear to me. The credit card in question is a corporate American Express card so to claim it did not work' is ludicrous. Also it was not made clear that this 151.97 was non-refundable. I was led to believe that it was a deposit which would be refunded upon return of the car. Sunny Cars claimed that I had opted' to go with additional insurance' and that for this reason it would not be refunded. This is untrue!
I am most dissatisfied with the outcome of this entire experience and feel I have been conned out of 151.97 by EasiRent/Sunny Cars. Scamming customers and/or working in partnership with a dodgy business entity is no way for a reputable company to conduct their business affairs! I would advise potential customers to stay away from these shoddy operators!
Do yourself a favor and avoid this company forever. We tried twice to rent cars from this agency in different occasions. Slow unprofessional and rude!
Answer: To whom it may concern, This is the complaint letter I sent to those whom I thought could help my wife and I solve an issue that we found to be Very troubling. It involved an employee at the Jacksonville Easienrt, specifically the manager named Franky. Priceline Booking Number 202-281-644-38 Easirent Reference Number 1863754 Easirent Wally Park, Jacksonville, FL airport We went to pick-up our rental on February 15th, 2020 and had all the information we were told to bring (credit card, drivers license). The young man, Franky waiting on us, informed us we needed proof of our auto insurance which we did not bring because we were not asked to bring it. When we challenged that he informed us that local rules can require them to ask for proof of insurance. We have Erie Insurance and at this time on a Saturday they are closed and not open on Sunday. The manager, Franky, said we couldn't have the car without proof of insurance. We told him we would call and give them that information on Monday and he said ok. Then he blindsided us about the in-kind coverage on our credit card which we thought we had but would check with Bank America, his response made us feel threatened and also taken advantage of. Again, none of this was mentioned on any of the documents. It was hard to understand Franky at times which only made the situation worse so my wife took over. Once again, we were told we couldn't take the car without the proof of insurance, which also was never mentioned on the paperwork. My wife explained we would call them on Monday with the information so the charges that we paid extra for, would be taken off once that information was given Franky and that would be ok. We signed off and waited for the car, which was not what we asked for. It looked like the worst one on the lot and the windows were very dirty and very hard to see out of the windows because of the stickers on the side window. On Monday, as promised., we called Erie to get the information for our insurance and also Visa to make sure we had the in-kind benefit. Both of these services were to be taken off our bill once the information was suppled. Called 1-888-901-5121 on Monday the 17th twice, once busy and 2nd time hung up on after we told them we were calling with the information they needed. Called again Tuesday the 18th and kept getting busy signals. Not only was this a terrible experience initially, but customer service once they knew why we called, decided to hang up and not answer the phone after they saw the number. Thankfully, the return went smoothly and very glad the person who waited on us was helpful. The rep at the desk upon return, Dasha, informed us that all she has to do is ask for proof, if not available then it would have been accepted, that being two adults in there 70's would have insurance.
Answer: I want someone on the phone from Easirent to explain to me why they aren't the fraud they clearly are...
Answer: They tried to charge me an extra £120 on arrival to upgrade as they'd run out of cars of the booked class. Argued and argued but they only threatened to call the police to remove me from their office. Had to pay £55 for a taxi and wasted an hour and a half.
Answer: Depends on the size but i was about £27 each for just a 2 day car hire. And i had to fit them both myself! What a company.
