Bought car in January 2024 for $10,999. It's now May of 2024 and the car is still not registered in my name. We are being charged 32% interest! Looking to sell and they are offering only $2,800 trade in! This is a scam
Highest interest rates ever should be illegal. Took advantage of my grandson who was a first time buyer. Car is junk. Oil change never done before sale. Bad sensors and car had body damage held together by zip ties. Unfortunately my grandson didn't know to check all these things. Car over priced as well. Now he is upside down in a loan for a POS. Hard lesson learned. Definitely stay away from this company.
I purchased a vehicle in July. It was about 2 weeks and my transmission was slipping. The 2 batteries had to be replaced. Luckly the warranty covered the transmission but not the batteries. The service department gave me a list of other problems that were not covered. The Brakes needed replacing as well as other repairs needed underneath the vehicle. Now a light has come on my dash showing there is some time of voltage problem that could be electrical issues. I told the salesman I could afford a paymenr of $350 a month, but he put the payments at $350 twice a month. I am a senior citizen and a widow. I feel Drivetime was very misleading and sold me a worthless vehicle which I am almost afraid to drive.while being expected to pay $700 a month. It has also been invoved in an accident, which may have cause some of the issues. I realize it will ruin my credit but my only choice is to reurn the car to Drivetime. I would not try to sell it to some other person with the issues I know it has.
They are known to sell junk cars. I wish I had read the review first.
I got so tired of sharing a car with my daughter, she was always so hard on cars. I prayed and told God if I had my own car I would take such good care of it, my best friend from Minnesota advised me to try drive time because I had very little credit, they picked out one of the best cars I could possibly imagine, paid my car notes on time and now I'm ready for another car from drive time. Helped boost my credit up to almost 800, yippee!
Go to the Drive Time lot and purchase a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta which is Kelley Blue book value at $6,900, has a 16,500 sticker on it, after tax, title and GAP coverage and Silver Rock warranty, which doesn't cover a damn thing, staying to the dealership from 11:30 a.m. to 6:40 p.m., 20 minutes before they're closing, dark outside can't really see the car that they're trying to sell you. Telling you they can't sell you the camera that you're really interested in because they can't find the keys so they pull up this Jetta and cram it down your throat. You'll walk out the door sending 22,500 of your life away for a $6,900 car that will break down and cost you thousands of dollars to repair within 2 years. Trust me I know. I really feel like letting them repo this car and taking the hit to my credit. Sue me you can't get blood from a rock. Pennsylvania has a suit against you guys for overcharging interest and other fees. Bring it!
Literally just got a 2020 Chevy Impala from Drive Time & now it's in the shop b/c of the transmission! Got the car 10/14/2023 it's been in the shop since 10/24/2023 NEVER AGAIN & NO I WILL NOT EVER REFER A FRIEND NOR FAMILY MEMBER TO GO HERE! Let's not forget all 4 rotaries has to be replaced as well Drive Time easy to get a vehicle from but, there's more options. Save yourself! DO NOT DO IT! The insurance SUCKS! I'm definitely switching my insurance! This lady I know works f went and got a car from them on 10/23/23 & guess what. Her car need a new ENGINE. Her car literally at the shop sitting, waiting to get fixed. SMH Drive Time should & need to be SHUT COMPLETELY DOWN!
Don't ever purchase from these scam artists, I purchased a truck that come to find out was sold to me for $10,000 OVER the blue book which is partially my fault but I needed a vehicle and they took advantage of the situation, I drove all the from Tulsa to Kansas City because they refused to transport it to their Tulsa location, I get there test drive it and then as I'm looking I open the hook and the insulation is just shredded and hanging down, the oils had not been changed, and now I'm finding out absolutely NONE of the fluids were changed, they said I would have to leave it and come back that would have been another 8hr round trip, now 4 months in, the A\C fan is out and the car is overheating, the blower motor is going out, and I'm stuck changing all the fluids that should have been done BEFORE they brought it up for sale. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING SCREWED OVER ROYALLY!
Bought in vegas drove to Socal A/c went out past the 1500 mi warranty no help! Said i should have bought the 3500 warranty?! If your buying at Drivetime, you have little money and bad credit, U cant afford that warranty? They say kick rocks! Thanks Drivetime!
I wouldn't recommend this experience to my worst enemy. The vehicle I purchased from them is horrible. I haven't t even had it 3 months and it's broken down on me 3 times! I paid for the extended warranty and it's a joke. I took the vehicle in when it broke down the second time and the shop found 15 failed inspection items. Silver rock declined covering any of them. Apparently a massive oil leak is cosmetic. Who knew? I did get them to cover SOMETHING by calling their customer relations but of my 5 experiences calling them only one has been nice or helpful. The engine in the vehicle is currently randomly turning off when you stop at stop signs.
Also, I highly recommend going to a manufacturer service center if you have an issue rather than to a silver rock recommended one. The recommended one said the vehicle was fine but the 2 I saw after that said the engine is bad. The most recent service center said the engine had likely never received maintenance so he highly doubted they had done any type of inspection. Save yourself the headache and just go ANYWHERE else.
I bought 2 vehicles that had no issue. Payed high interest at over 60k spent on both. Paid and owned. Bought another and within the first 20k miles the motor crapped out on me. I had silver rock coverage but they wouldn't cover it. The drivetime salesmen said I was the same as someone who just walked in and my loyalty meant nothing to them. Consider that before taking a huge risk with this company
We arrived at our scheduled appointment and no other customers were there. 5 agents working and we waited 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. As we were looking through cars, they told us they are closing up. They had no desire to help and when we asked questions, we were given a run around. I would not recommend DriveTime to anyone, at least the one in Conway SC.
Had very good service. Was very easy to do.
Customer service was great. Talk to Mr. T or Mr Tierre. Thank you Drive time.
They tell you what you need online to purchase a vehicle. Spend $70 on gas to get there. Only to find out what they told you was a lie. They request thousands of dollars as down payment. Nothing like what you were told online. Scam to get there. Flat out lies. Then the cars are 150 miles to 300 miles away. You must go get the car. They are going to get someone killed. If a women has an abuser that is expecting her to bring home a car she could be killed over this.
My buying experience was great and the customer service was extremely helpful and courteous. I had a slight issue with my new car but the employees stepped up and resolved it. The purchasing procedure took a little longer than I had expected, otherwise I would recommend Drive time.
Drive Time doesn't inspect the used cars they purchase for resale. And they will go as far as to fire an employee for telling you that the warranty will cover it all. I had to force them into the repair and an still out to this day over $700.00 dollars. I don't care how bad your credit might be... they are not your only opinion.
Answer: Scam! They lie to their customers. Untrustworthy! They prey on people that need actual help.
