I always find the perfect stock photos for my marketing pieces and the site is easy to use. Dreamstime has been my 'go to' site for images for many years & will continue to be.
Great selection of images. Easy to use. Only problem I've had has been that despite logging in as UK, and changing the currency from USD to GBP at least three times, every time I log in it has reverted to USD... and there doesn't seem to be an obvious place to change it back to GBP. Also seems to revert automatically to autorenewal of credits?
Otherwise a great site.
Very good and easy to download, thanks, from portugal
The price is right and the selection is always ample, whether for photography or illustration. I also like how easy it is to save photos in the lightbox and download what I purchase. The site is very intuitive. I buy the credits, not the monthly deal.
You can generally find something you need here, though sometimes you have to choose from a large number of very similar images, whereas you might appreciate a broader range of different ones. By sorting by "price", you can often find some very affordable images, though I wish there were more of these.
I really like the site and ease of using. A few suggestions: add different payment options such as a PO number in addition to a credit card. I use pictures for some of my work-related posters/flyers They could be paying you directly instead of repaying me on my credit card. We don't (and won't) have a business card for this use. I agree that you do have a lot of the same type of picture- need more teens engaged in positive activities of all sorts or parents engaged with teens.
Good: Have yet to do a search that didn't turn up dozens of relevant images, with relatively few of the duplicates which plague some sites. High quality images. Good prices (but see below.) I don't need stock photos often, but when I do I need them badly, and dreamstime never fails to come through.
Bad: Site is a little awkward to navigate until you get used to it. Difficult to jump directly to your "lightbox" / cart from most pages.
Ugly: Checkout / payment area is in serious need of reworking. They're clearly trying to push you into a monthly subscription, which is good for their revenue stream but ridiculous for non-professional users. I finally found the right page and hit the "purchase credits" button, but the display didn't positively switch to that mode. After making payment I had to go back and look at the invoice to make *sure* I'd bought credits instead of a subscription.
Overall: The site tries a little too hard to be "modern," and the checkout area tries a little too hard to hook you into a payment model you probably don't want. The impressive collection and good price mostly outweigh these shortcomings, however. Will purchase from again.
I bought the wrong picture by mistake, I called Dramstime and I immediatly received a refound on my account, to be able to download the right one.
Plus, Dreamstime was the only photostock place to find my picture at a very large format.

The image selection is good. The value is excellent. I do not appreciate that there is no option for a pay-as-you-go subscription. You either have to cancel the account or agree to a monthly charge. I would prefer buying a package as needed and renew as needed.
I use Dreamstime mainly for recipe photos for my blog and I can find a reasonable most of the time. The reason I don't use Shutterstock or one of the sites with many more photos is because of price. Using the level 0 XS photos means $1 a photo which is acceptable to me. If I needed more though and wanted a subscription I would use a different photo site. I've used customer support 3 times. The first 2 times I never got a reply. The 3rd time I spoke to a very friendly lady.
I've been using Dreamstime for years for good quality/price ratio, but don't like the new way of searching for images with them coming up big on screen - it takes longer and is annoying. So are the costing sliders for PAYG rates and the new default setting to automatically take payments when credits are used up - devious and unnecessary.
Dreamstime really has all types of photo I need for graphic design, Facebook posts, newsletters and website content.
I've never had any issues with Dreamstime. It's one of my regular sources for stock.
I use several photo resources however, I can usually find something more specific to what I want and for a reasonable price on Dreamstime. I absolutely love the FREE images section. I've recommended Dreamstime to others. Givers gain.
THEY WILL SCAM YOUR CREDIT CARD WITH AUTO RENEWALS DESPITE THE FACT YOU TURN IT OFF. RUN FROM THESE SCAMMERS
I find that the prices for Dreamstime images are higher than that of other places but then I often find exactly what I'm looking for in the quality I'm looking for at Dreamstime. I love the selection on images. I'm not on a subscription plan so I can't comment on that or customer service. So far. I'm satisfied with Dreamstime.
I like the amount of pictures available for purchase and free download. Really appreciate the advanced search feature.
Until now I had no problems with credits and I'm looking back on several good deals leaving satisfied clients.
I'm so glad I found this site. It provides millions of image selections and you can filter the criteria to help find the perfect image for your project. There are multiple resolutions to choose, so you don't have to buy large if you don't need to. Great site and great options. I couldn't ask for more.
