I was expecting a heavy item to arrive at my home. The driver did not deliver the item to my address. Rather he/she sent it to somewhere else in my neighbourhood and just took a picture of the exterior of a main door with the parcel but showing no sign post / house number of the house. Turned out my neighbour needs to bring this heavy item over to me. Totally irresponsible driver, and this is not the first time. DPD is a totally irresponsible company as there is no way to complain or give some feedback. It has my phone number but the driver never bothered to call if he cannot find my address. My parcel reference is 0738 338 135. I am trying my best to reflect this on the web so anyone reading this could be aware of it and consider choosing another service provider. Repeated awful experience

Absolutely pathetic Service!

Delivered my urgent parcel on wrong door number with image on delivery they provided as proof justifying my complaint, when I called CS they lied and refused to accept the error. No resolution offered to me.

Waste to money and time!

If it was my choice i would never order something that I new would be delivered by DPD. Twice ive lost my packet. Once they left it beside the elevator and left even though i said i am coming to get it personally. It was jewellery and someone else could have taken it. There is no way of contacting a live human being in their Customer service to talk to someone. It is the absolute worst postal service i have ever encountered.

Smashed goods due to uncaring staff
March 26, 2023

I bought Crystal trophies on 17th Feb. They were well packed in individual boxes and boxes of 3 were put into another box. Then in a heavier box and picked up for delivery to me. When the driver handed the package it was opened straight away. To my horror all but 3 of the trophies were smashed beyond repair. I contacted DPD and week in week out they ask for proof of purchase which I send and have sent every week on a request by dpd. They have photos of the packaging photos of the damage and still every week they want proof of purchase. I am still waiting for the outcome I took out their insurance when I paid them for their services and wonder what was the point in insuring goods if they are treated like trash and the company won't take responsibility. If I was claiming for not only the damage but the stress they would owe me a fortune. All I want is to be refunded my cost. Today is 25th March as still no action from DPD to say I'm disappointed in an understatement.

Watched the driver take a photo of my house from across the street before he swiftly left and marked my parcel and no one being home. Contacted customer service who assured me someone from the delivery centre would be in touch within the hour, Its now been 4 hours, is now 6pm and no phonecall or parcel in sight.

They don't deliver
December 8, 2022

I live in a tower block and DPD don't deliver to my flat as they should. They either dump the items in the entrance of the building, where they are likely to be stolen, or they take it direct to a drop off point, sending a message saying they attempted delivery when in fact they never did. I will put a date below, but this is a repeated experience for me

Ordered expensive collectables. DPD are paid to make the delivery to me. They damage the box- refuse to deliver it and then update the tracking info as "return to sender"- guess what. 6 days later it's still in their Depot and they have done nothing with it!

Spoke to their customer service and even made complaints- they don't care and just keep saying the place I made the purchase from needs to contact them to request they do something with it (which they have not told the company who still thinks it's going to be returned!)

Rubbish company, rubbish customer staff- no complaint process. Absolute crap and should be avoided if at all possible!

Would be 0 stars of there was an option!
Shockingly $#*!e service, parcel missing all the time! Never had a pleasant experience and today to top it off the parcel that was due yesterday was rescheduled for today. Drover pulled up on the drive, unable to locate the parcel gets back in the van, and drives off - all caught on my doorbell. Clearly, ANOTHER missing parcel that was ordered ready for my weekend away. Also, impossible to provide feedback AGAIN on the website - form failure?

Just Awful

Awful company, been waiting all day for my sons late birthday present when I get a text to say -sorry we missed you:-( they had not tried and it was coming to a business premises that is street fronted and well signed with CCTV and not even attempted to deliver. Yodel are better than this bunch of muppets

I recently acquire a console on an online shop who sent me it home with DPD. I added an instruction saying that if I was not home they should deliver the item to the collection point. The driver went directly to the collection point, but for some reason I am not aware about he did not leave it there.

I call the customer service and the woman at the phone call me ignorant and she tried to shift the blame to me when it was the driver fault for not trying my house first. I also have a screenshot of their website that clearly states the driver steps and the first is to come to my house which he skipped.

I tried to send an email of complaint attaching the screenshot but I got no reply.

Apparently drivers are not capable of following simple instructions, the phone customer service are rude that try to shift the blame to the customer instead of the driver and call people IGNORANT, and non-existing customer service via email.

This is now a weekly occurrence for my business. I am a small limited company in a small village in South East Cornwall. Our postcode covers most of the village. I accept that this causes an issue with finding the address. However we place clear delivery instructions on our orders. There is a notice board 50 metres from my house listing every house in the village. This is clearly marked on our delivery instructions. However, 90% of DPD drivers just don't care and can't be bothered to look at our delivery instructions. Despite my always having someone at my property to accept deliveries, I constantly receive messages stating how sorry they were to have missed me. Absolute rubbish. I spent 33 years in the Police. I never once said " Sorry, I couldn't find the scene of the assault or the GBH or worse, despite spending most of my service on CID. On leaving the Police I worked for a supermarket home delivery service. I never failed to find an address. I now work for myself in South East Cornwall as a Chimney Sweep, Stove Installer. I never fail to find an address. This company is destroying my business because they can't keep good staff and keep replacing those that care with those that don't. It is just shocking.
I am losing so much business because I book jobs and order parts which are due to arrive on a date and "Dave" often from a different country can't be bothered, or doesn't read the delivery instructions. Please come back Colin, you were amazing and didn't cost me money.
DPD, avoid if you can.
I will post my next review next week when they fail me again. Customers clearly don't matter have

Well, well, well, where do I even begin with DPD? Let me tell you, folks, they've taken incompetence to a whole new level!

So, picture this: you've been eagerly awaiting a delivery from Samsung, counting down the minutes until your shiny new phone arrives. But when the DPD delivery person finally shows up, do they bother to ring your doorbell or give you a heads up? Nope, not a chance! Instead, they snap a quick photo of your house, toss their hands up in defeat, and call it a day. Seriously, DPD, is that the best you can do?

And don't even get me started on their customer service. When you try to reach out for help, it's like talking to a brick wall. They couldn't care less about your missing package or the fact that you've been waiting all day for it to arrive. It's as if they've never heard the words "customer satisfaction" in their lives.

Honestly, DPD, you should be ashamed of yourselves. If this is the best service you can provide, maybe it's time to hang up your delivery hats and find a new line of work. As for me, I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Good luck finding someone else willing to put up with your nonsense!

Unreliable and liars.

I would leave no stars for this one if I could. DPD got my order all the way to the delivery address without anyone noticing that there was no tracking number. The delivery address had to refuse it. That means I wasted money on next-day delivery. It didn't stop them sending me a shot of the driver pretending to give the parcel to the delivery address and didn't stop them lying about delivery. The complaints number is a premium number. I would be charged for making a complaint, and there's nothing to tell me how much they would charge.

An absolute joke. The driver tries to deliver to the wrong address - the street at the back of my house so it shows the correct area on their gps - takes a picture of that building and, when I enquire through the app, keeps sending me the same picture over and over. No other way of contacting them: the phone has a message with no option to speak to someone, What'sApp: a person was supposed to message me 26 minutes ago... still no answer. I had to call the supplier - who were brilliant - so they could cancel the delivery and send the goods back to me with another carrier. Absolutely appalling.

Didn't turn up.

Was given a 1 hour window for delivery. Watched the driver pass my street twice on their terrible tracking app. Then he disappears off the map and I'm left with "Asen is is currently making delivery 84 you are delivery 85." Well it's been 10 hours so unless he's delivery to Scotland I'm not getting my expensive CPU.

Looking at reviews I see expensive electronics seem to be the things that go missing. Dodgy driver don't use this service. I would give a minus score if I could.

Not very good.

I'm hoping I just had a unlucky experience and not all drivers are as useless as the one I had. Ordered a high value item from Currys which would be delivered via DPD. I paid extra for it to be delivered on a specific day and waited in all day. Continuously tracked the driver. One time he was 30 mins, next 15 mins. And then when it got to 10 I had a text message to say they missed me. Nobody rang the intercom or knocked on the door.

What waste of a day!

Also posted the Review on trustpilot and the company flagged the review. All the reviews on Trustpilot seem fake and they seem to be getting rid of the real honest reviews.

I live in a block of flats with a lift. The drivers for this company NEVER buzz up to gain entry. NEVER enter my building to attempt delivery they snap a picture as they drive past. I was even downstairs waiting outside in the rain to collect my own parcel and the DPD van drove right past not even stopping! This makes me so angry that a company can do this and get away with it. Awful Company!

DPD NON DELVERY
June 8, 2021

DPD failed to deliver two parcels to my address despite lots of anounced delivery slots and "sorry we missed you" messages.The sorry messages often being sent before the so called delivery slot had expired. Avoid like the plague!

Useless.

Every single time they get it wrong. Wait all day only to receive a text message stating failed delivery! Why not knock on the door or even better go to correct address? Sick of waiting around all day. If anything is being deliverd by DPD I try not to order goods. Completely useless on all counts
