My package was sent to me while I was away on holiday, it went to the pickup shop, even though I specify that they should try a neighbour, the shop they left it in is also not the one that I specified, now the shop that it is left in only does dpd bulls*it when the post office is open, it just so happen that it is bank holiday, so it is closed, and it is last day i can pick up my package.
Oh did I mention that in the package there are insulin pump supplies, which is rather necessary stuff? Also the hours of opening specified on the dpd page are not those of the poat office, but of the shop, which made me travel there twice.
And all would be understandable and all if it wasn't for the fact that there is absolutely no way to get in touch with any human from this company, chat just throws you in the continuous loop of "let me try try to help you first". I will continue posting 1 star reviews everywhere I can, as automated chat has no way of helping me.

YOU HAVE SOMEBODY CALLED SEAN WORKING OUT OF YOUR BRISTOL DEPOT.
THIS SO CALLED 'COLLECTION DRIVER' HAS REFUSED TO COLLECT MY MOTHERS FAULTY FREEZER ON THE LAST 4 ATTEMPTS. HE SENDS THE 'SORRY WE MISSED YOU TEXT TO HER EVERY TIME HE IS SUPPOSED TO COLLECT. HE HAS NOT ONCE BEEN ANYWHERE NEAR HER FLAT TO DO HIS JOB AT FRANCOMBE HOUSE BRISTOL BS16TQ
TODAY HE CANCELLED THE COLLECTION CLAIMING TO BE MY MOTHER & REARRANGED ANOTHER COLLECTION TIME FOR FRIDAY. MY MOTHER IS 80 YEARS OLD AND DISABLED. THIS DRIVER IS A DISGRACE. I AM NOW GOING TO PUT THESE DETAILS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA SITE I CAN THINK OF & EXPOSE THIS OXYGEN THIEF FOR THE BONE IDOL TWIT HE IS.

I ordered a lot of pet food from Pets at Home. DPD UK delivered one box and claimed they had delivered two. This was not a mistake. They lied and claimed there had been a second delivery an hour after the first (only after I had complained to Pets at Home about missing half of my items). I asked for the delivery number, it was the same for both deliveries. Pets at Home immediately acknowledged this and opened an investigation into DPD UK. In short, DPD fabricated a delivery to cover the fact they took part of my order. Do not use DPD UK. They will keep your deliveries and fabricate fake delivery details. If I had not had had the wherewithal to ask for the unique delivery number for both deliveries, they would have gotten away with lying and claimed it had been delivered. That makes them thieves by my estimation.

Unprofessional & bad customer service
The worst delivery company out there in my opinion, If I the otion -5 stars I would choose it. I recently upgraded my contract and I ordered a new phone which was supposed to be delivered by Dpd, the first day the phone was not delivered due to a pin failure which was my mistake. I called the customer service and since then the situation went chaotic. They assured me that the pin will change but it never changed ( I have screenshots taken from the app as a proof), it stayed the same for 3 or 4 days. They delivered the phone again and witrhout the pin changing there was a failure again. I was calling the customer service explaining the that I am not there and if they can leave a instructions to the driver to deliver the parcel after a certain hour, their response was "it is not guaranted". The only option I had was to get the phone 5 days later, I refused because it was not my fault that they were not listening. At this point it was very simple, give instructions to the driver but nope! They are a huge company and they dont have that simple add on "instructions to the driver". In the end I lost the contract and the phone, and now I have to do evrything for the beginning and go to an actual store cause the Dpd is not good on delivering parcels. The customer service is just awefull either they were lying or they dont know how to do their job correctly, the application is bad as well. I will avoid Dpd from now on, I know that a complain like that will not change anything but I hope whoever reads this will understand how bad they are at delivering parcels

Recently, a delivery man from DPD tried to enter my daughter's property whilst she was alone, claiming that he must take a picture of the parcel in the property, because that was DPD's protocol. She refused him access, so he left with her parcel. He delivered it three days later, damaged and left in full view of the street, by the gate. My emails to Elaine Kerr, the CEO, went unanswered. My daughter's complaint was dismissed and then ignored. Draw your own conclusions about DPD!

This is the 2nd time your driver Ranjodh lied about trying to deliver and nobody being at home. Both times me and wife were at home! Just because he failed his time slot doesn't give him the right too lie and fail me and keep me waiting for nothing. Where is the point in saving my preferences when driver don't follow them.

Last time instead of delivering to nearest drop of point which is less than 200 yards away he delivers it 800 yards away. I have COPD breathing problems and its difficult to go that far. Especially if its a large or heavy item.

Absolutely disgusting service. My parcel was supposed to be next day delivery which was confirmed by e-mail. On the day of delivery it says that parcel has been delayed. When I tried to call (took me 1 h to connect with someone and losing huge part of my mental health) first call, guy pretended that he cannot hear me and he hung up, i called again and SHERIN picked up. Oh my god, "Sherin" you are literally the most annoying and unhelpful person in this universe. Well Sherin told me that my parcel is delayed because "they have too many parcels" like it suppose to be my problem? Why do you accept next day delivery when you cannot provide this service? Why my parcel was less important than the others? Can someone explain it to me? Sherin keep interrupted my talking, and finally hang up the call without any reason at all. I have offered that I am willing to collect my parcel from depot, and I was refused to do so. DPD service is literally the worst service I have ever seen. It is also impossible to make a complaint. Absolutely disgusting. If someone ever wishes to pursue mass lawsuit, please do count me in.

Unfortunately due to the choice of a sender, I had to experience the service of this delivery company. Every time DPD has something to deliver to me, it's either they don't knock and actually wait for the reply or can't process any changes to the delivery. The speed of processing any request is so slow that you may end up receiving your parcel after 2+ weeks of waiting.
DPD - fix the way you provide the service!

I wouldn't recommend DPD even an enemy!

Another appaling episode with this bunch of charlatans. Another big order supposed to be collected for 50+ customers. No show at time given. Multiple phone calls to DPD staff who range from knowing nothing to promising things that never happen. Never any calls back when promised. Eventually after a promise that a driver was coming 'within the hour' 4 hours after the latest time they should have arrived, guess what? Again, no show. No communication from the driver despite us checking they had relevant number to contact us. No communication from customer services, nothing. We ended up having to load the car up and take them to the post office. The post office manager said sometimes DPD collect from here but who knows? Shocking, awful company making life unbearable for small businesses. We spent all afternoon trying to sort this, when we could have been doing our work. Whatever anyone tells you this company DOES| NOT value it's smaller customers.

My Pets at Home parcel has been delivered to a wrong place and I did not receive it. Ok, mistakes happen. But I let DPD know via email, via a phone call to customer support. And no response. Customer support could not get through to the driver and instead of saying I'm sorry, or apologising for the kind of 'priority service' I received (that was next day delivery) asked me to contact the merchant. I did not get what I paid for. Somebody else did. But who cares? The driver does not want to pick up the phone? Sure. He should be right. Why bother.

DPD SHOW NO DUTY OF CARE

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I used DPD to return x2 toilets worth £279, with a £28 delivery fee - delivery number: DPD*******. When booking the delivery, I labelled the items as TOILET PANS. They were packaged in their original packaging (unopened from Victorian plumbing), with fragile tape. The boxes displayed multiple large pictures of toilets on each box, with big writing 'METRO PAN' along with the toilet's dimensions, so the contents of the boxes were very clear. The receiver sent me pictures of the state of both of the boxes, dirty, ripped & crushed externally, and inside, the toilets were smashed to smithereens. I raised a claim & was told via an automated message that there is nothing they can do as they were prohibited items. However, at no point in the buying process was I directed to prohibited items. Why accept the contract if they are prohibited?! ZERO care was taken with the parcels. Trying to get hold of DPD is nigh impossible - chat fails, automated phone number takes you to the depot and round in circles, then get through to B2B which isn't the right dept, whatsapp doesn't handle these queries, customer service is useless & won't put you through to claims, no emails work... So I've lost hundreds of pounds. Will NEVER use DPD again. JOKE of a company. AVOID.

Absolute nightmare. Had driver deliver to wrong house, threaten to take my parcel away when I was annoyed that he almost did it a second time. Then no acknowledgement of complaints from DPD, told 'complaints will be escalated', but never are. Today, 30,1,24 after 10y of always having morning deliveries I get a message saying my delivery will be in the evening. Call and explain this is not just inconvenient, but state that as I'm in severe disability group delivering even later is not an option. After appalling treatment so far, they just expect me to compromise for them, & keep having the delivery even later in the week instead of just calling driver and asking him to deliver slightly early. Chap this morning eventually states they will do that. I wait... NOTHING! Call again, told impossible, because an able bodied Man is apparently incapable of reaching forward and getting a parcel out of order, and obviously the world will end if they go off script. However, just to state that the chap this morning did state that calls are recorded, & they do not lie, yet he obviously did.

Spoke to a Manager, who insisted that I have to understand that it's not strange my time slot has suddenly changed after 10 years, they can't possible blah blah blah, but that it is perfectly ok that they inconvenience my life. When I again point out my previous complaints, she states no, 10am today. No, previous complaints started last year. She insists NO, 10am this Morning! No, original complaints last year, & this morning was 9.22AM. She hung up!

This company are beyond disgusting.

Absolute waste of space say delivery on a certain day and time. Never ring the door bell never knock the door take picturecof the house says redilivery next day same happens. Then end up colkecting from shop over a mile away.

I'm adding DPD to my list of incompetent organisations. My wife ordered a wash basin and cabinet from Amazon which was to be delivered by DPD on Tuesday the 24th of October, items we needed as we were in the process of 'modernising' our bathroom. The DPD driver Darrell came to our house during the afternoon of said Tuesday, knocked on our front door but couldn't get an answer. If Darrell had rang our doorbell my wife would have heard, she was at that point in our bathroom upstairs paintng so didn't hear him knock on ther door. We have a very loud doorbell that we can clearly hear from the upstairs of our house. I know that he didn't ring our doorbell because I checked my CCTV which clearly shows the bell push and for some reason Darrell the DPD driver didn't go near it. Darrell, the DPD driver left a calling card, I checked the DPD website and the parcel's were going to be delivered the following day, Wednesday the 25th of October. Wednesday came and by the afternoon no parcel's had arrived so I checked DPD's website again which said that Darrell, the DPD driver couldn't find our house despite the fact that the previous day Darrell did find our house because he put a calling card through our letter box! I'm now wondering if Darrell the DPD driver can even find his way home at night? Anyhow I rang DPD and spoke with someone named Suyod who promised to contact my local DPD depot and have Darrell redirected back to my house to deliver our parcel's on that same day. Well that didn't happen so I suspect Suyod lied to me. I aslo went on DPD's online chat thing and spoke to someone called Mohd Iliyas who only apologised and couldn't help in any other way saying that she wasn't able to contact my local DPD depot so DPD's online chat is a waste of time also. My conclusion is that DPD are yet another incompetent organisation run by incompetent people!

Absolutely shocking!

Absolutely shocking! Will never use DPD again.

I arranged for a collection for next day delivery on 25th September. Collection fine. It then disappeared and arrived back on my doorstep 4 days later. I was in but it was just left. No notification as to why it had been returned or where it had been for 4 days.

Went online for chat as number given on Google didn't work.

They didn't know why it had been returned. It was clearly labelled and also had recipient name and contact number on box in case of problem. This is going from SE London to NW London so should not be complicated.

They apologised. Arranged a new label and collection date. Collected fine and then it went missing again.

It arrived at my neighbours house on 7th October. Again I was at home. No notification as to why it had been returned for a second time not notification that it had been left at my neighbours nor where it had been for days.

Went back online / again they don't know what the problem is as address is clear. Measurements and weight is correct.

Such a shame as it was a fair price quoted but I will never use this company again.

The drivers are not allowed to contact customers about the deliveries because of privacy of them! Then who protects the customers from getting the parcel properly? This company & drivers are the worst members of this society. Customer service team doesn't have any idea how to help people, repeating the same words again and again. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
