The company enjoys a generally positive reputation, with customers appreciating its free access and the variety of connections available. Many users highlight the platform's ease of navigation and the genuine interactions they have experienced. However, concerns about the presence of bots and scammers are prevalent, with users noting that a significant portion of listings may not be authentic. Overall, while the platform is valued for its potential to foster real connections, users advise caution and patience due to the occasional misleading posts.

Inconsistent, biased, unfair, and completely unable to respond to customer needs. Doublelist is a joke. It's frustrating and wastes your time. You post something that stays up for two months, then when you renew it it is suddenly rejected? They claim you can't post sexual things in the dating section, but it's full of sexual stuff--then when you try to do something with the word "massage" or "rub" they immediately delete it. Horrible, horrible site.
Never had one issue posting. Clearly the babies crying about are to $#*!ed to post and glad to see that are not allowed..
They need to come up with an another better adult site because diublelist isnot doing it! Y can't u view site w/o signing in? Y u have to be member. Another thing to is they always flagging u down when u post your ad up. THEY JUST SUCK. DONT USE DOUBLELIST!
I have reviewed and reviewed the guidelines for posts. No matter how hard I try... no sexual language, no nudity, nothing in violation, all my ads are rejected. There is no recourse if your ad is rejected. I see other ads with questionable language that are approved and posted. Thought this site would be a great community builder, but I give up!
Tried uploading an ad 6 different times. Each time, I edited it to make it shorter and made sure it had no sexual language or anything against the rules. My photos were face pics. Every single time, it got "flagged" and was never even posted. Crap is beyond frustrating. This site is useless, don't even bother.
The site is not user friendly. I linked the wrong email, I couldn't change it so I deleted that account. Then I tried to create a new account but my phone number is still linked to a deactivated account. When I tried to make a new one, the site told me to contact support. You need an account to contact support... this is such a sham.
I've done several test with different accounts, posts, browsers, sources etc and you are lucky if you get 3 out of 20 emails either delivered or received to your ad.
Site doesn't work for email delivery, you'll have to put your cell or Kik for direct notification in your ad
This site is useless. If you post a nice vanilla personal ad, they pull it down or don't even post it. But if you post something raunchy, it goes right up! My account was locked out for violating "terms of service" but I received no warnings or explanations. I have emailed support multiple times and they do not respond. I frequently helped them by reporting hustlers and underage accounts, and then they do this? Recently a page for some hookup site with a partially naked man would pop open when you logged into the site. I think this whole site is scam!
Way too restrictive. Keeps changing rules. I get submissions rejected that friends get approved. They have NO clue what they are doing and scared of their own shadow
Limits to 4 ads why? Goofy
I have been using the site since it started and it picked up pace relatively quickly.
In the early days it was OK, but they have now gotten way too picky over what they will allow, plus there are not enough staff/moderators to support the site. Posts are sometimes "In Review" for hours!
The "DL police" (who ruined CL) are now out again - policing posts and flagging any that they don't like the look of. "Community moderation" does NOT work... guys will simply flag you if you reject them or if you are in competition with their posts.
DL likes you to use pictures in posts, but many of mine now gets my post rejected or flagged soon after it appears, even though the pictures are mine and are totally non-explicit. Therefore, I now rarely use pictures.
Moderation is inconsistent! I understand their caution after what happened to Backpage, but DL have taken things too far, so it's now "painful" to use and they are inconsistent in what they will allow. DL uses moderators in several locations around the world and depending on when you post or edit a post, it could be accepted or rejected!
Posters are now using silly spellings in words, to thwart the filters... such as c*ck or c0ck. How ridiculous on an adult site!
In the "Gay for Straight" (guys) section, there are a lot of tran-sexuals offering seedy services... using explicit pictures and embedded phone numbers (which are not permitted in posts). Also, when you read these posts, sometimes the wording alludes to payment required, but DL turns a blind-eye to these infractions.
DL needs to add more locations, so that posters in small cities don't have to post in the nearest available city, which could be far away! E.g. Fort Worth is NOT Dallas!
As the DL subscriber base has grown, the hosting servers are now inadequate, so they often hang and service is disrupted or very slow.
Overall... a real shame!
*** Update ***
Don't bother emailing questions. DL never respond to emails.
DL have added a "user stories" section p a total waste! They should concentrate on creating a hookup site that works better than CL!
Website is down half the time, mostly fakes/bots, messages do not make it to recipient. No anonymity, requires use of email address and phone number
It's odd people are saying this is a replacement to Craig'slist. However it's not nearly close, the site is pretty much solely for dating or no strings attached hookups but really the rules make it impossible to meet people let alone get messages. They flag any ad that isn't totally p. G even provocative pictures are forbidden. The messaging process is totally junk, sending messages to my own ad from my computer I didn't receive the message I sent my self. I think d. B should fall back.
I use the site and find it successful. Just don't be crude / rude on your first posting - get the point across and wait for a response. Then send that person (direct to their email not a DL server interface) whatever pics and desires you have. I think they are being cautious / smart about not getting into trouble. If you cannot post then reply to a posted ad - I've had success with both, although it took me a few tries to understand what words I can and cannot use when posting.
It's better now than a few months ago - more users.
Flags legitimate posts. Out of 10 tries 9 will get flagged for no reason. Too bad CL is gone since DL SUCKS!
You have to register and login to see any of the ads (no big deal). My login hasn't worked in months and any time I try to contact support they can't fix it and just send me in the same circles that don't work. Feels like a bunch of **extremely amateur coders** trying to make a quick buck, which is something I definitely would not trust with sensitive/personal information.
Doublelist is one of those sites that's growing but I can't stop from using.
The good:
Doublelist is just like Craigslist. You can post what you want, when you want, and how you want it. That's a unique feature that I don't see any other dating / hookup site offering. I like that functionality better than the swipe right / swipe left. I also like that they're relatively spam free and pretty good with moderation.
The bad: They don't have all locations. I live outside of Chicago and they don't have my city listed. I have to post in Chicago which is 80 miles away. The other thing is that the moderators sometimes don't approve my post which can be frustrating and annoying. There also seems to be more men than women which I kind of expected but I still
Wish it was more even.
I've been using doublelist for a few months, and while its not without its problems - its worked pretty well so far. Granted I'm gay and I don't post in the straight sections, so I can't comment on those. For the most part the quality of the people is higher than Craigslist was and I get 5-10 response to a post I do. Maybe I just post good posts, I dont know, but can't complain
This new website was launched around half-year ago and did not have the steady features & function. Will no longer use this site
The website claims its "learning algorithm" is what is used in moderating the site, but that is not true. It is biased. Anyone who does not fit the "tall, fit, masculine" look (when it comes to males), has their post rejected as it did not "meet the guidelines", yet you see every post have some form of suggestive pics, but alas, they are all 6 pack fit guys.
I made multiple post got a few responses but they were all on games or never replied messaged a few girls on there for fun hanging going to the movies the conversation always ends right in the middle it's weird I think the site is run by bots or something.
Answer: It's on hold forever. Just forget about it. There is no need trying to contact customer service. There are better sites like http://joy4love.com If you are looking for hot girls - works like charm. DoubleList has always been worthless anyway. I only met just a bunch of scammers there.
Answer: Now that doublelist.com is forcing payments there will be more free sites popping up soon!
Answer: It's now 100% official, when you asked this question it was in a test phase & someone made an error of letting it go live. As of this reply you must pay a monthly fee
