Do it wiser

As original toners cost the earth thought I'd try a compatible one, and bought the set from the above named supplier. Put toner in printer, it printed one colour page and one black and white page. Next time I go to use it YELLOW TONER EMPTY. Weighs as much as the others. So not empty. Left it for a while as I do have to work, and I have on more than one occasion tried to sort it. Still not letting me print even just greyscale. Haven't bothered to get in touch with suppliers. What's the point? My word against theirs.If anyone could give me advice on what to try...

I bought this product in very good faith for my printer as the description stated it was compatible with the printer. Unfortunately, a few months later, the printer developed some issues. I contacted HP immediately and after a series of diagnostics, they determined that the print head was damaged due to the toner.

Worse still, because the toner was not recognised by HP, my warranty with them was voided. In addition, the printhead was damaged beyond repair making my £500 printer useless.

All in all, I'm now out £615. The seller has not been helpful. Even when I provided the official diagnostic report, they refused to honour the one year warranty because I had disposed of the toner.

Toner cartridge for OKI MB460 bought for stock. Installed when the old cartridge ran out 15 months later.
Cartridge had a faulty or incompatible chip.
DoItWiser refuse any refund or replacement because 'out of warranty'.
They ignore their duty under the Sale of Goods Act to deliver items of merchantable quality. Compatibility chips do not fail when unused in storage.
Outside Amazon's 60 day returns policy so - is it worth going to Trading Standards or County Court for £20?
