Please do NOT waste your money on this site! The informations are NOT correct! I ran search on address that I knew for fact that someone had died in house, but diedinhouse.com search showed no death found. Complete waste of money. You'll probably get more information for free using Google search. All search will give you is a list of people that lived at address, but list is incorrect. Someone need to put warning sign for this site so people will not waste their money. I did 3 searches tested out site. All 3 searches failed!
I tried out the service from DIEDINHOUSE.com. Knowing a prior address of mine of which my mother did indeed die in our home, the results summary indicated that it did NOT find information relating a death at this address. All the Known owners were correct, but the main information of which I invested $12, was absolutely incorrect. I contacted the site requesting a refund and was denied. This service is a sham.
Not worth the $12. You get a list of anyone who died in the house (in my case, no one) and then a list of people who have lived in the house, which is basically a long list of the same names over and over with varying degrees of misspellings. I was merely curious to see about my house, but I basically just wasted $12.
I love the site, they do say that they do not have all the info, and they do say no refunds, which is just like carfax, but for only $12 I can see all the people who lived at the house not just the owners, you don't get that when you buy the house, if you do a full property search it can take hours to get all the people who lived in a house, and the sites can cost way more than $12. And I got a follow up report where they found some more info for me that I didn't get on the instant report. I recommend the site to anyone who is buying or renting, know who lived in your house before you did. If you know you can be better prepared if something goes wrong or someone comes looking for someone, you know why.
The house I once owned a dear old lady passed away in the house and the service didn't state she passed in the house. The DiedInHouse.com stated she died however they didn't know where she passed. I requested a refund and the CEO Roy Condrey told me the company doesn't offer refunds and the information is in the T&C. Steer clear away from this website. The information is Not accurate.
I looked up several houses on this site including one built in 1830s Washington, DC and one in southern New Jersey. The results were both negative although I KNOW for a certainty that someone died at each of these locations. Of course, I don't expect historical information but the site represents that they search modern records.
Fraud - Fake - Scamming - Website
WHAT A RIP OFF! Some died where I live but nothing pops up! Scammers trying to make illegal $$$! I'm reporting this $#*! Show website!
I got suckered into buying a report for my house. Don't do it! I know that a 24-year-old woman died in the house in the 1890s. She wasn't in the report. NONE of the people who we know lived in this house since 1885, besides my family, were listed as associated with this address. Instead, quite a few Hispanic and Hmong surnames were listed. Since we know every resident family since the house was built, we can be sure that none of the people allegedly associated with the house actually were. Scam! If you really want to know about your house, hire a researcher. It will cost more, but will give you accurate information.
Gave the money to search my house gave me neighbors house search. Refuse new search on my house will not give refund. They want more money. What a scam do not buy.
Joanne,
As I stated when you contacted us, "I am sorry that you mistakenly typed in your neighbors address verses your own. During the purchase process the site provides customers with the address and a Google image of the address to verify before proceeding with a purchase. In order to run a report for a new address you will be required to make purchase another search credit. To help with the cost, I provided you with a $4 OFF promotion code for a one time single search.” I am sorry that you are not pleased with our service, I hope that in time we can win your confidence.
As posted on our website's check out page, FAQ and Terms and Conditions, there is a cost to us every time a search is ran, therefore all purchases are non-refundable. When developing the idea we intended it to be free, but learned there are costs of doing business, so we try and make the cost of a report as inexpensive as possible, but enough to allow us to maintain and grow.
DiedinHouse.com was developed to help people who care to know, find out if a death has occurred at an address before they decide to buy or rent. In most states it is not required to be disclosed to buyers or renters. This happened to me and I felt that a tool like this could help others like me as well as Realtors who are searching on behalf of their clients.

DiedInHouse Co., and Bias Information was attached on my Real Property Info. Alone inside the Community where i live.
When I purchased they people I bought my house TOLD me a relative died here. Nothing on the report. Don't waste your money.
I know there was a death there in 2015 however "nothing found". I did ask before ordering if the records were current.
Hi Sherry,
I am sorry that you are not pleased with our service, but nothing has changed since I responded.
Your Question:
"I am looking for a death in late 2015 or early 2016. Are your records current?"
My Response:
"Hi Sherry,
Thank you for your question. Our data is current. There are roughly 5 Million positive records of death in our database, but we are not even close to having all records. We have roughly 350,000 manual entered records that can reach back as far as the 1800’s, but most of our records, automated and manual are from the mid-1980s to present.

Since we cannot guarantee that we will find all deaths in homes, we provide you with all the names that we can find in public records that are associated to the address and tell you out of that list who has been reported as deceased by the US government. The associated people are not always current or past residents, they are people that are somehow associated the address. We show everyone because there is no way for us to differentiate how they are associated. The list of names allows future buyers to have some information in hand verses no information. So for example, say that a person who is associated to my address shows as deceased on the report for my address; the buyer can ask me "did this person die here?" vs. "has anyone ever died here?"
Thank you for your feedback, business and interest in DiedinHouse.com.

Your service is not complete; we will now do some further research for you online during the next 30 days. We will contact you immediately upon finding any additional information. Also, in 30 days we will rerun the address through the system and provide you a second updated report. In 30 days simply log into your account to find your updated report, hopefully we will be able to find some additional information.
Respectfully,
Roy
Answer: My understanding is that the records are fairly up to date, maybe a couple of years old. However, if you do some research you'll see that it will only show a death in the home if it was a recorded in some kind of public record. Also, in certain states there is no requirement to disclose or record a death in a home unless it was a homicide, therefore if someone died of natural causes, and accident, or of suicide in the home it would not come up. They are not very clear about that. Depending on where you live and the age of your home it might be easier to just go to the library and do some independent research.
Answer: Hi Ally, Thank you for your question. Much like most data aggregating companies there are no guarantees. It would be impossible to have every record of death at an address. We are simply trying to help those who care to know, by providing as much information related to a death in a home that we possibly can. We have sold over 70,000 reports in 3 years and have identified thousands of deaths at an address for unsuspecting buyers and renters. Most of the negative responses are customers who were already aware of a death at the address and we could not identify the death on our report. This service is not intended for them, it is intend for buyers and sellers who are unaware of a properties history. We provide customers with an instant report that displays any deaths that our algorithm can find. Because we know that we cannot find every death in a home, we also provide a list of names that are associated to the address and then let you know if any of the associated people have been report as deceased by the US Government. What some reviews fail to mention is that we did identify the deceased name and data of death, but we just could not find the address where they died. We then perform manually research of your address over the next 30 days. On the 30th day we rerun your address through the system and provide you a second updated report. Please review our FAQ page to learn more details about the quantity, accuracy and details about the data and DiedinHouse.com. DiedInHouse has a rating of 1.4 stars from 35 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. DiedInHouse ranks 1185th among Real Estate sites.
I am sorry that the system did not find the record that you were looking for and that you are not pleased with our service. A record not displaying on a report does not mean that it did not occur; all it means is that we were not able to find it and our data providers do not have any records of the event. It would be impossible to have every death that occurred in a home, but we are doing our best to tie in as much data as we can and as fast as we can.

We do not have or claim to have all of the records. Even though we state that in the Disclaimer, Terms and Conditions, FAQ and in all of our press, some customers think that we do claim to have it all.

Our disclaimer states that DiedinHouse.com is merely a great tool to use to assist you with finding out if someone has died at a specific address. It is always recommended that before anyone purchases or rents a home, to run a Died in House Report, ask the seller if they are aware of any deaths, speak with neighbors, search the address online and check government records for any information related to the property.
Yes, although very time consuming you can do this research yourself. As always, we recommend that in addition to running a report to still do your due diligence. Ask your Agent the neighbors, local Police and News department and vital records office. We are only able to retrieve the digitized records available in online public and private databases.
