My understanding is that the records are fairly up to date, maybe a couple of years old. However, if you do some research you'll see that it will only show a death in the home if it was a recorded in some kind of public record. Also, in certain states there is no requirement to disclose or record a death in a home unless it was a homicide, therefore if someone died of natural causes, and accident, or of suicide in the home it would not come up. They are not very clear about that. Depending on where you live and the age of your home it might be easier to just go to the library and do some independent research.

Hello. i was about to purchase a report from your site however just before checking out decided to check reviews. i read multiple negative reviews all of which had the same or similar complaint. they say information provided was incorrect and/or in testing for validity proved to report no deaths in cases where deaths had occurred. how do you explain this? i am about to purchase a home and would really like to know. i do know that a former resident died during hospice but i do not know if he actually died in the house or at another location.considering the poor reviews outnumber the positive, what are the chances i will not waste my money? Hi Ally, Thank you for your question. Much like most data aggregating companies there are no guarantees. It would be impossible to have every record of death at an address. We are simply trying to help those who care to know, by providing as much information related to a death in a home that we possibly can.
