It was a very affordable way to complete our company logo design. The process was easy and straightforward. There was someone available to help when i needed it. And there were great choices for design elements. I really liked that they would show me so many examples of my logo and how it would look on products and cards, etc.
I went through the design process and was rather happy at first, then when i worked directly with designer to finalize, i discovered they had nearly copied another design. A design being used by designhill's examples no less!
I complained to the designer, who promptly sent me files without responding to my concern. Why? Because once they send the files they are obligated to be paid by YOU. I complained to the support but they sided with the scammer. I have been fighting for weeks now for the "100% guaranteed refund", but am told that because the designer sent the files, i am no longer allowed a refund.
In short, they are supporting scam behavior. It is up to YOU to ensure the design is not used elsewhere. Let me ask you, exactly how are you going to check an image for usage with every company that exists globally?! Do not trust this site. You are VERY likely to get a low quality rip off design, and never see a dime of your guaranteed refund.
Avoid at all costs.
I have reported security vulnerabilities but they never care about customer's security. Vulnerabilities are still up and haven't fixed yet, also the team is very irresponsible, including their managers, they are always closing my support tickets and stalling me.
Don't believe me? Enter the website and you will discover lots of security vulnerabilities in minutes also they are printing your hashed password in source codes, so it causes data leaks easily.
You should stay away from this company if you care about your security.
The submissions rarely follow the guidelines given. We've never had an unsolicited sales text message until doing business with DesignHill. Within an hour we had two from two companies and six weeks later we're still getting them.
I ordered a logo at Designhill for $ 179.00 which offered 100% money back guarantee (no questions to be asked). After placing the order my password was reset by designhill and in the back-end they have changed my order selecting guaranteed option that does not offer money back. Also the designs provided by their contestant was copied from the internet which is the violation of copyright and illegal. I complained designhill and requested for refund. They denied to give any refund. My payment was made via PayPal and I submitted disputed to paypal. PayPal investigated the matter and collected the money back. Thus I got my money refund after two weeks. Thanks PayPal for saving my money. I hate this fraudulent activities of designhill where as the owner of the company is Indian. They should stop this illegals business or the appropriate authority should take necessary action to ban designhill. I request everyone to be aware about this fraudulent company.
I would NOT recommend this firm for your logo needs. It's confusing, demanding and difficult. The staff within Customer Service does not understand the English language and they're incredibly rude.
I've demanded a full refund and maybe involving my corporate lawyer to retrieve a full refund for work that was promised and not delivered.
Unprofessional is the only way to describe this site. Everything seems fine until you actually try to complete a project. Designers are mostly foreign and there were issues with communication, they don't understand many details that are required for good work. Support is very slow in answering emails, there's no phone number or other ways to contact them. It took over a week to get an initial response, and then two weeks of going back and forth with explanations, still no results. Refund requests were ignored multiple times. No refund, no result, no reason to use them ever again or give them any more chances. They're not even cheaper than other contest sites, just more problematic and scammy. I learned my lesson. NO PHONE NUMBER means NO GOOD! Stay away, and if you're really up for a contest, try more established sites... there are plenty out there!
While I ended up getting an adequate product, the design process was very difficult. Communication with the designer was not easy due to a combination of complex user interface and poor language skills. More than half of the design proposals were complete garbage because they did not read the clearly defined design concepts. It took more than 12 back-and-forths on the selected design to get it right, because older design features that were eliminated in previous versions kept re-appearing. The interface is very limited on providing communications, as there is no way to share the actual drawing file. All you can do is add text and arrows.
I wouldn't go back. Their "guarantee" is a joke.
As a designer I highly recommend using different platform to make money like 99 designs. This site is so poorly made, they make out a number of reasons not to pay to the designers and the support is beyond bad.
I paid for a shirt package along with my logo. I cannot get the shirts designed or delivered and they're not providing customer support or a refund. Purchase at your own risk. Beware the choices AFTER you purchase the package and move to the shirt options are extremely limited. I have a business yo run and dont have time for this non sense.
I recently ran a logo contest and had generally good results in getting different ideas. After that, it went downhill. As we went into the refining phase, the designer just could not grasp what we were looking for. All we were asking was to use brighter colors (less masculine). They kept sending the same logo. When we got the artwork, the PSD files were compressed and uneditiable. We asked them to unpack the layers and that took several attempts. We never got the font used and the way he built the logo makes even small edits a complete do-over. I then engaged their helpdesk to ask for assistance in communicating with the designer. On top of the logo, we also asked for a facebook design and t-shirt design. The designer simply did not build either in the style of the logo, or even close to the style. The helpdesk said they would take it "in house", and completed the design (facebook design was acceptable, t-shirt was poor at best (you can do better work going to an online tshirt shop). It then has taken me five interactions with their helpdesk simply to get the files that I paid for (AI, PSD, etc.). It has simply taken me way too much time to get what seems to be a simple request.
If you want a good logo, i think they do an acceptable job. If you want a relatively easy transaction, go somewhere else. If you want good support, don't start here.
This is a very good site for creating a free email signature I will use this some critical system download system
PROS & CONS:
Customers:
Pro: Low prices and dozens of desings to choose from.
Cons: Most of the designs are poor quality or with copied elements that you cannot legally use in your logo.
Designers:
Pro: You can build a portfolio.
Cons: Spec work; you will work for free most of the time, and the competition is unfair. Designhill contest and Printshop challenges do not award original good quality artworks, they prefer what their customers like; pretty pre made images from the web.
If you are a customer and need a logo safe to trademark my advice is to hire a professional graphic designer or illustrator, but if you prefer these contest for the low prices, take the pro contest, avoid the regular cheapest one, and before chosing a winner, check the designer's portfolio for signs of coherence and style through all their artworks, and most important make an inverse image search in google images or similar, to check if the designs they've made already exists somewhere else.
If you are a talented designer or artist, stay away from Designhill (unless you need to create or update your portfolio), because you will be competing against designers from Indonesia, Bangladesh and India that repeatedly use copied graphic elements, eventually the customer will choose a pretty logo made this way, instead of a well designed original logo, they simply do not know the difference.
I have participated in many of their contests and reported many copycat designers, but Designhill do not ban them, therefore if you are not an artist but know how to make a clip art composition or copy other people's designs, sign in! You have a good chance of winning a contest in Designhill, or a challenge in their sister website; PrintShop.
"If you pay peanuts you get monkeys".
"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten..."
It has been a wonderful experience working with graphic artists from Designhill. The design artists are true professionals, as they do everything in their power to make sure you are satisfied. I am a difficult person to satisfy, yet my graphic artist took the project to a whole new level. True professionals! Thanks for developing such a great design program!
This was fast, easy and just what I needed. As a new small business owner, I knew I needed a logo for my service but did not have the skill to do this on my own. Designhill has the largest variety of styles I've seen and I've been looking for months. So glad I found you guys before i settled for a mediocre design!
We used Design Hill for our corporate logo design (boutique wine store) - specifically Ai Design who are in the Top Designers list. Very quick turnaround, excellent design work, professional and responded quickly to all requests for changes. Prices are very competitive.
No complaints, great work!
I really enjoy being able to help people build their branding through graphic works. This website is very helpful and very suitable for expanding the brand or business that you are starting.
I will definitely be using your company over design crowd from now on! What a great experience! Came up with absolutely gorgeous designs. So excited to start using the new logos for promotional products its at our next expo!
Most small businesses do not have the resources or time and designhill fills this void! The Customer Support was always prompt and very helpful while reply to all our queries. This has been a seamless process for me. I am planning to use them again. Well organized and I felt they were there with me every step of the way. Really supportive team.
I had a great experience with designhill, and would go through the process again for another logo if needed. It was very clear what was expected of me... My only wish is that some reward could be given to the runner ups as well! Thanks for the service, there is great talent on this site!
Answer: Yes, you can buy upto max three designs in a single contest.
Answer: A highlighted contest upgrade highlights a contest listed on the contest listing Page with a different colour. A highlighted contest is a great tool for not only Making a contest stand out among hundreds of contests and but also attracting Designers to participate in the contest.

Answer: DesignHill brings together designers from all over the planet so you can find the style you're looking for. This system worked for me as a buyer. I don't work for or with the company so I don't know what it's like working as a designer or what percentage they get paid. My designer was great so I hope they are paid all that they deserve.
Answer: This is a contest that you're guaranteed to get a design that you like or you will get a full refund. I never needed to use this feature because I always got more than enough designs from a contest to pick a winner. In fact, many times it was hard to chose just one winner.
Answer: The website takes a little bit of time to navigate but I did find the right places to click to view the profile/ work of the talented designers here. They each show what they offer and what they charge. Some have ready-to-buy designs and other will do custom work for a charge. They're located all over the planet so sometimes there may be a 12 hour time difference between where you and your designer live. But my designer was still great, patient and punctual. There was a bit of a language difference to overcome but I was still pleased and impressed with the outcome.
Answer: Yes, you may ask for multiple revisions in the font, shape, size, and color. The client can ask for revision both during the contest period when design submission is allowed and also ask for minor/final changes during the design Handover stage. You can directly communicate with the designer in both stages.
