First time to order an appliance on line. I have many appliance stores in my area who have very competitive pricing. I Was hesitant at first and especially when it took so long to fill my order...I was kept up to date and when it finally arrived everything was in order. Installation complete and unit running as advertised. The cost savings was worth the wait in this case and I would consider using Designer Appliance again...

Our shopping experience with Designer Appliances was very good. The prices were competitive and the process simple. The delivery process was frustrating. The estimated date was not accurate, with the first attempt to deliver one week before the estimate. While that would be great, the delivery truck broke down and we were not home for delivery the next business day. As a result, we ended up getting the appliances a week later. The lack of visibility into the delivery meant we had to be on alert 24 hours in advance.

Your delivery arrived 90 minutes after the end of the window. I was called after the end of the window time that they would be a "little late." When they arrived they dropped it off didn't help me unpack or check and had me sign a form skipping the check boxes and practically ran out. The excuse was they were busy with installs, so you'd think drop offs would be first. It makes me glad I did the install myself. The price was competitive, but when it comes to free delivery you get what you pay for.

I found it easy and the availability of the product I wanted was in stock. Now for the bad news.

The time of the order to receiving it from NJ was rather long. I have ordered products from a NY company multiple times and receive it the next day. Luckily I was outside working or I would not have known that Fedex dropped my order at my house outside my garage door. I have pictures of a crushed box it was shipped in if any one is interested to see them. Maybe that is why it was quietly delivered for a quick getaway.There was enough room all around to use bubble wrap from crushing the box and and possible damage to the product. That is the shippers fault(Designers Appliances).

Pricing is the best around! Website is easy to navigate. Scary buying this much stuff online... But, everything went well all the way through delivery. AM Trucking delivered the items and even though I didn't pay for white glove delivery the gentlemen unboxed everything and went over the condition with me, then boxed everything back up and helped me store them too! We are building a house and weren't quite ready for install yet, so the help was much appreciated. I did have a small dent in one door of the fridge that Designer Appliances is still working with me on a solution, but so far they have been prompt at contacting me to help out.

So far so good. Bought products, hood fan and filters and also extended warranty. Easy to use site.
Received item and it came in a box which was stapled around the original product box. The original product box was in really bad shape and opened and torn at the seams. The plastic film on the product is scratched through to the product in at least two places. Not sure if product is scratched. Looked like a returned item.
The exhaust duct is supposed to be 6' in diameter according to the specifications on the website. It is actually 8' and is creating more work for me as my exhaust trace was set up for 6' and I have to modify everything.
Will install product in two weeks. If it does not fit or work properly it will be returned.

If I ever order again I will specify the delivery carrier. Worst delivery service I ever dealt with. Was set for delivery time then I was postponed til next day ( no big deal) had working washer removed bed for new arrival. Next day no call no show. Delivery company had no answers. No customer service skills. Washer showed up a week later. Was suppose to call before coming. Once again no call. The company came put washer in driveway, no knock on door, no call, I am surprised it wasn't stolen. Not that I live in a bad neighborhood but it was right in front where any one could have took it. Design appliance is a great place but the shipping company should be out of business.

Very seamless shopping experience. I did not see the option for installation services when purchasing the machines. When I called DA about installation services, the company did not try to update my order to include these services or say that they offered them. I emailed DA regarding installation services and they required me to look up the serial number of the machines. Apparently the order summary that they have doesn't include this information.
