I had a great overall experience. The chat feature was easy to use and quickly let me know my request was possible. I ended up calling in the order because of the express delivery. The customer service rep was personable, knowledgeable, quick and extremely helpful. He got the order in right away so it could get out right away. I will definitely look to designer appliances in the future.

Found same model refrigerator 136.00 cheaper, free shipping and no taxes on line after ordered. And I was told when I called you would not match price. Of course during presidents day sales it was even cheaper was also told it would be installed but all the delivery people did was get it in the house, I even had to haul off the packaging
The ordering process on the site was great. My issue was the delivery company that you use. The items were supposed to be delivered on Thursday at 7:30 PM. We are not open that late. Then their truck broke down, I understand these things happen. So the delivery was moved to Friday night at 7:30 PM. Again, we are not open that late. When the order was placed I made I note that we were open from 7 AM - 3 PM. (Most delivery companies that I know of, try to deliver before 5 PM.) When they arrived, they drove through the parking lot and left. I called them and some how got them to come back. Thankfully they understood what I was saying because I could not understand them! My suggestion, use a different delivery company.
So far, so great, Super excited to receive our new range that I've already recommended Designer Appliances to my friends. Awesome customer service. My range is gorgeous and I paid 50% less including shipping.
Great price, slight delay in shipment since one item was backordered but I had to call to find this out, could be somewhat better with communication regarding product availability and shipping timetable
Appliance delivered in good, immaculate condition. Delivery men very polite and professional. Delivery took longer to arrive, though, probably due to inclement weather conditions, so I wouldn't blame Designer Appliances for that. By the way, website did not state country of manufacture for the product. Would definitely patronize DA again.
Good price - Delivery was quick and the appliance works though the user interface will take some getting used to. For example, pressing "Beverage" to make hot chocolate reselted in only luke-warm milk after six minutes. Using time cook on our old microwave would give me steaming hot milk in 3 minutes.
Your delivery arrived 90 minutes after the end of the window. I was called after the end of the window time that they would be a "little late." When they arrived they dropped it off didn't help me unpack or check and had me sign a form skipping the check boxes and practically ran out. The excuse was they were busy with installs, so you'd think drop offs would be first. It makes me glad I did the install myself. The price was competitive, but when it comes to free delivery you get what you pay for.
I throught I was buying a new appliance but turns out it was made in 2014. It had a tag on it that said made in 2014. Tested in 2014. Dont know if I can sue or not. Probably just stuck. Doubt that this will be put in the reviews
Easy interface, easy financing when ordering. I did have to call and ask about delivery myself, no one got in touch for a few days after buying the product, which looks bad. The rep's excuse was that the company is busy, which is quite stupid, we're all busy.
So far so good - shipping fee seems excessive!
Delivery service was supposed to call when they were ~30 minutes away, they did not, and ended up dropping it off to area of the plant that was not where it needed to go. This resulted in confusion on the receiving end - we are large industrial complex.
While purchase was easy, the unit is as advertised, and the price was good, the delivery was not quite as smooth as it could have been. When I placed my order, there was a note that I would be contacted in 48 hours to schedule my delivery - I was not - it took another day or two. Then my delivery did not come on the day scheduled, even though I had someone wait at home all day for it. When the delivery guy rescheduled for the following day, he was later than he said he would be, again (but it did actually get delivered that morning). Also on a personal note, I prefer scheduling things via email vs getting a phone call, especially if I've placed the order online. Phone calls are too easily missed, and tend to interrupt one's day (especially if you are calling during your business' work hours, which happen to also be your customer's work hours).
Well, I think it would help to see if the appliances include accessories or not (i.e. Hoses and/or electrical cords for washing machines or dishwashers). However, I was able to chat with Russell real quick and he assured me that they are included. Problem solved pretty fast so no harm.
However, he failed to mention that the item I was inquiring about was out of stock. So I had ordered the appliance right after chatting, and then had to change my order a few days later (unless I wanted to wait 2 months.) The new appliance was slightly more expensive, but at least it was in stock. The customer service rep said he would give me the other appliance for the same price, but then he still ended up charging me the difference in price. I guess I am not terribly upset, nor am I thrilled with the customer service.
Good so far, we shall see if you live up to promises.
There was a problem with the delivery company: They called me only once with an automated message. (which I didn't hear very well because of outside noise)
When I called back without the tracking number, they had no record of my order. A few days later I called them back with the help of your company, and my order was delivered the next day. Thank you so much for your help. It would have been a big help, though, if you had communicated more frequently via email and if you had stated the name of the delivery company, maybe, on the receipt.
The experience was good, just what it should be. They were well-stocked on items I wanted, my purchase was delivered timely and in good condition. I was very glad that a knowledgeable person called to confirm about my delivery instructions and gave me an opportunity to understand the procedure in the event that it arrived with problems. I would shop with Designer Appliances again.
Shopping on the website and payment was easy. Reps were nice, called back to confirm order and ask if there was enough space to deliver the refrigerator.Scheduling the delivery itself then was extremely difficult. I told the rep, that in 250 unit high rise, I need to book the elevator for a certain day for a four hour window. The night before a very rude man called me from the delivery company and told me, that they would show up before the booked time and that if they could not have the elevator, they would leave and I had to reschedule for another day. I called Designer Appliances and this delivery issue seemed to be very new for them. In the end the -very nice and careful- delivery men showed up at the right time and set up my new refrigerator. The shopping experience overall was good, but I highly recommend, that they hire another delivery company for Northern NJ.
Very helpful. But delivery was way less than expected. Shippers were not give or so they say the delivery instructions.
Everyone professed to understand the urgency of quick delivery but delays in arranging pick up, to shippers not knowing where and how to deliver abounded. But it is here now and works great.
First time to order an appliance on line. I have many appliance stores in my area who have very competitive pricing. I Was hesitant at first and especially when it took so long to fill my order...I was kept up to date and when it finally arrived everything was in order. Installation complete and unit running as advertised. The cost savings was worth the wait in this case and I would consider using Designer Appliance again...
