I find penny auctions fun and winning is the best. Deal Dash is NOT like other penny auctions. Beware-there are some scams out there. In this case, it is always a win-win because if you do not win the item, you can buy it and get ALL your bids back. No other site is like that.
The most important advice is learn to play BEFORE you bid.
The customer service is great and I have won lots of items for less than retail; some even for a penny.
DealDash is trustworthy and honest.
Over the last few days I have spent more on bids, emptying my checking account and maxing a credit card. I have read your advice to bidders on how to win auctions and have employed those as well as some of my own. I have blatantly (meaning very obviously) been screwed out of wins a couple of times and complained both times and allowed you to appease me with the offer of 200 bids. I have read some of the blogs and frankly find them hard to believe. I look at the people I'm bidding against and see most of them have 0 wins. I gave a bid back for a list of those at their limits and found not even one name of a person I was bidding against in any of the three auctions i was contemplating. NOT ONE other than my own! And exactly what good is that anyways? Any one person could buy more bids at the click of a button and enrich your coffers all in pursuit of that pie in the sky nothing. I used my bid buddy, i went free hand, i watched trends, I counted bidders involved, I researched past prices paid. I have happily paid for what I did win. 2 $10 gift cards and a couple of small bid packets. I am not willing to be out hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it and yet that is where I find myself. This is a scam. This should be against the law. Oh and that guy bragging and blogging about the piles of electronics sitting around his house because he's so good at this which he kindly donated to charity... how is it he even got to bid on the same thing more than once when I see blocked bidder lists posted on many high end items? Oh and your customer service is great... keep your mouth shut great! You ended up advising me I should not be bidding on high end items since I am new, yet you limit low end items and I get a pop up that says I can only bid on items worth $200 or more And when I don't win you want me to buy it now at an inflated price and give me my bids back. I have never been so embarrassed to wear the giant "L"oser mark on my forehead! I only hope any who read this will BEWARE! From a very disillusioned DealDash Sucker!
Hi Cathy,
I'm sorry to hear you have not won more than you expected on our site and perhaps spent more than you could afford. It appears the majority of the auctions you bid on were Bid Packs and you won 8 Bid Packs totalling 1,865 bids and the two $10 gift cards you mentioned.
Some of the top customer tips and recommendations when bidding is #1 stick to a budget and #2 use the Buy it Now (BIN) to get your bids back in case you don't win. Anyone that does not win the auction has 7 days to decide if they would like to buy the item at normal retail price and get back all the bids used in the auction - plus we'll ship your item for free. I see you have decided not to utilize the BIN option to retrieve any of your bids back yet, however as mentioned the BIN offer is available for a full 7 days after the auction ends so you still have time to decide.
As for the auction winning limits and the list you are referring to. Any bidders shown on the winning limit list have reached their winning limit for the week, therefore those bidders are excluded from participating in the auctions which is why you did not see them bidding in the auctions you were contemplating. We do recommend newer bidders to start off with lower valued items because the high valued items are typically harder to win and usually require more bids. The reason you could only bid on items worth $200 or more is because you hit your weekly winning limit of 6 items valued under $200 for the week.
All customers are entitled to a full refund on their first purchase if not satisfied for any reason. Our customer support team has initiated your refund for you and will be happy to help with any other questions you may have. Sincerely, Dave
This is a ponzai scheme! Beware! If its too good to be true... it surely is!
It is not a Ponzi scheme. We are a retail shopping website where people bid to win auctions for really good deals. Anyone that does not win can just buy the item at normal retail price and get back the bids to try again. If you'd like to learn more about our service please contact our support team. Thank you, Dave
Legit and quick to respond with questions. Also quick to ship
Thank you Randy for the nice rating. We do our very best to always respond to customers very quickly and process orders promptly with tracking information. Glad to hear you've had a good experience. Dave
Love the site. Great deals are possible if you bid wisely and only on things you are willing to buy if you don't win the auction. They give your bids you used back to you. I also love the fact that their bids you can purchase are at lower prices at times.
Good advice Carla. If people only bid on things they are willing to buy at normal price in case they don't win, it removes the risk of them losing their bids because you always get your bids back when using the Buy it Now. Have fun in the up-coming auctions. Thank you, Dave
I decided to check it out tonight - was scammed BIG TIME. When you sign up, your credit card number is required and i thought it was just for security reasons, like ebay - i did NOT agree with buying anything and 5 minutes later, i had 36 bucks taken out of my account just for SIGNING UP. Thankfully I used a Paypal cc, so all I am doing is going to Paypal, explaining it and since my "purchase" was not authorized, I will get my money back. BEWARE. NOTHING sells for 1 dollar like they advertise - and apparently, even though you pay 36 bucks to JOIN, you are not allowed on any auction either - only some lame ones without the "no new bidders" sign. Stick to Ebay - these people are not honest!
Hi Ariane, you were not scammed. In order to participate in the auctions it is required to buy bids. You purchased a $36.00 bid pack, however don't worry. We have a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase and a great support team to help answer any questions you may have. Just email customer support and inform them you would like a refund. Sincerely, Dave
If you are into penny auctions DealDash is the best! If you use common sense while bidding you can get some really good bargains. I have won TV'S Stand mixers, tools, toys you name it; I love the way they get the items out to you in a hurry and the shipping is free!

Congratulations on your auction wins and thank you for the 5 star rating, we greatly appreciate that. All the best in the up-coming auctions. Sincerely, Dave

Thank you Dianne. If you ever have any suggestions on how we can make your experience even better please get in touch. Thank you for the nice feedback! Sincerely, Dave
The best deal sites that u can get online. Great work
This is the most idiotic site ever, I was confused when I gave my credit card information and paid 36.00 for 60 bids... read the fine print, you pay the money for bids that you bid on every 10 seconds and never win. I thought they wanted my credit card info for if I won something... I should have just thrown the 36.00 out the window... Dont do it.
Hi Tina, one of the reasons people love shopping with us is because they enjoy the strategy and possibility to achieve great savings. You purchased a bid pack, however don't worry. We have a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a great support team to help answer any questions you may have in order to alleviate any confusion. Please get in touch! Sincerely, Dave

I have sent them a request for info three times and no response.
Kicked off of an auction when it was about to expire and had started bidding when it first had opened I spent 251 bids and had several bids left and then all of a sudden a sign came up and said that you couldnt bid once it had gone up $5.00, heck I was one of the bidders that started right off the bat! It would not let me bid no more!
Hi Bobby, I'm very sorry for the technical issue you encountered while bidding. Our engineers do their very best to keep the site glitch free, however it was confirmed there was a technical error which affected the auction. We have been able to identify all the users that were affected and your account was one of them therefore all the bids used in that auction have been returned back to your account. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and hope you'll try again and reconsider your rating of our service. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Dave
I have been on DD since June. I am confused by some of the negative comments I have found here about DD. I have never had a problem with a shipment and I have won several things from them. I think their customer service is overall very good. My only gripe is that a bid COSTS between 15 and 60 cents each but is only worth ONE CENT when you go to bid. That is some steep depreciation! However knowing that, I still go back and bid. If you keep your wits about you and don't overbid, you can still make out ok.
Thank you Vince. By having the auction price only increase by 1¢ with each bid, the final sales price of the auction remains very low for the winner. We use the sales generated by selling Bids to fund the highly discounted auction prices. Sincerely, Dave
The items offered at the DealDash auctions are great. If you don't win the auction, you have the option to Buy It Now and get all the bids back that you spent on the auction. Great electronics, gift cards and home furnishing products keep me going back for more!
That one thing that separates us from other penny auction sites. Having the Buy it Now option is what makes shopping here risk free. Tip: always bid on an item you like and would buy anyway - this way you get a chance at a getting a great deal and if you don't win, you can buy it and get your bids back. It's a win-win really. Sincerely, Dave
DealDash is a penny auction site that I have found to be the best on the Internet. Great customer service, great variety of auction items and a good network of members. The site is easy to use and fast to learn. They have great privacy options in place, which I very much like for my safety on the Internet that is very important to me and most others. I suggest that you find your way to DealDash.com and start getting some great deals at great prices.
Thank you Gus. Security and Privacy are very important and something we take very seriously. The site is McAfee Secure, VeriSign Trusted and your personal information is never shared. Sincerely, Dave
I have very good experience with dealdash good fast customer service and great pricesi was wit quibiz.com before but dealdash have beter prices. Any question call me at *******879 my name is Segundo
Nice to hear you've had a good shopping experience with us. Providing great customer service is very important to us. Sincerely, Dave
In the past you were able to find "deals", now as others have said I have used the buy it now option for gift cards as they are truly the value they say they are. I don't like the fact that the same bidders win over and over again! It would be nice if dealdashl limited lower item wins per month and still kept their weekly limit. It also seems like now there are more bid packs for auction and it would be nice if the Buy it now price reflected the current sale price on bids instead of the. 60 "retail" price. Most people just lose their bids on those, because in the end it's cheaper to spend the money on sale bids. Wish a few things could change to make it better for all gamblers!
Gift cards are some of the most popular items on the site and that's so true. You get a chance at winning one at a good deal but if not you can just buy it and get the gift card + all the bids used in the auction back for free. Most other items on the site come from our partners Best Buy and Sears so the retail price of the item is matched to them. Good feedback, thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Dave
I have been on DealDash since September, 2012. I have won over 300 auctions. It's a fun site to use to win items and gift cards. You have to know that you win some and you lose some, however, if you do not win the item that you were bidding on you able to purchase it and you receive your bids back to bid again on something else. Their customer service was kind of shabby about a year a ago but has extremely improved. I feel very confident that I will receive every item I have won or bought. Only one time in over a year I did not receive an item and after contacting them I received it. You buy your bids and it's best to wait until they have a promotion to buy the bids at a cheaper price. It's addictive, but fun at the same time.
Thank you Renee and I'm also really happy the customer service has improved over the past year as we've grown the team. Good advice about waiting for promotions before buying bids and to use the Buy it Now in case you don't win the auction. Sincerely, Dave
I sincerely appreciate the customer service at DealDash; they do their best to keep it fair and honest. Do I have complaints? You bet! Since they started advertising there has been a huge influx of new players who are clueless and want to stay that way. These people do make a lot of the auctions less than pleasant with their bidstomping and bidding WAY over the value of the product. I've told a couple of customer service people that this site is in danger of imploding from such rapid growth.
The products themselves that I have gotten have seemed to be good quality, with the exception of a flatware set that was flimsy and I returned it to the vendor.
I've occasionally won but more often bought a ton of gift cards, and out of all of them only one has gotten lost in transit, and they're going to replace it.
It's very frustrating to bid on this site now, compared to when I joined 5 months ago; too many new people are making it very difficult for a lot of us to get a good deal and it seems the same people win the big things for next to nothing time after time. I don't lay that at the feet of Deal Dash, though. I believe there is a group who seem to take turns running other people off an item, and then dropping out so one of them wins. NOT NICE, but nobody is that lucky!
The products are good, customer service is fabulous----now, if only the customers would rise to the same level, DealDash would be fantastic. The customers are why I only rated them 4 stars instead of 5.
WTG DealDash!
Thank you Susan for the good feedback. We'll continue to work on making the experience even better and please continue to stay in touch with our support team to resolve any issues you may have or to share ideas on how we can improve you experience. Sincerely, Dave
Answer: Thats a hard question to answer, because it depends on the article, and its value. I will say I have won some great Articles, and lost many, maby more. The more valuable the article the harder to win. Personally, I gave up on Deal Dash due to the BID STOMPING and Jumpers and the gready nature of some bidders, who stockpile bids. Also, even though Deal Dash supposedly has means to catch Buddy Bidding, I myself have caught at least 4 people doing buddy bidding, reported it, and nothing was ever done about it. Finally I no longer play on Deal Dash, for the reasons I mentioned, but thats my choice. Its up to you, on what you want to do. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Beatriz, I want to start this conversation by inviting you to read our Audit Conducted by Ernst & Young: https://dealdash.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/dealdash_ey_audit.pdf Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, and these certainly start and end with our commitment to being humanistic. I would love to show this to you, how can we help? Please let me know. Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi William. If you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids. If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back. Let me know if you have more questions!
Answer: Hi Julie, I hope you are having a wonderful day I'd be happy to explain how the Buy-It-Now option works. Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by 1 penny, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price. If you do not win the auction, you will see the Buy It Now button. By using the Buy it now option, you will get the item for retail price and all the bids you used in that auction will be returned to your bid balance. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they get the item they initially wanted as well as retain all their bids. Please let us know if you have any other questions and be sure to read more about us here: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work Thanks so much for your great question, please feel free to reach back out and let us know if there's anything else you need. Answer: Hi Emogene! Great to hear you had a good experience and won a few items. Orders are usually delivered in 7-10 business days. I hope you enjoy your items. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Kathy - All items are brand new. We work with top suppliers such as Walmart and Sears, who ship the items directly to your door! If you are unhappy with any item you receive, simply contact our support team and they will help you out. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Elizaabeth, Thank you for getting in touch. We offer all of our customers a full money back guarantee for the first bid pack purchase. Our payments team can get in touch with you and issue a refund. Please send me a number we can call. My email is adrian@dealdash.com
Answer: Hi Patricia, Thank you for getting in touch. I am sure this has been a misunderstanding. DealDash is audited by Ernst & Young, confirming that all bids are placed by real customers and all items are delivered. DealDash members and their acquaintances are strictly banned from taking part in the auctions. My guess is that another user may have chosen a user name similar to DealDash. If so, we'll need to change it to avoid confusion. Please send me an email with your user name, so I can find the auctions and spot the user. My email is adrian@dealdash.com I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi Jan, For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a winning guarantee. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance. If you're still not satisfied with your DealDash shopping experience we'll be happy to refund your first bid pack purchase no questions asked. You can even keep any bids in your account or items you have won. Giving DealDash a try is risk free!
Answer: Hi Jasmine. All items on the site are brand new, factory sealed and come with standard manufacturer’s warranties. Vanessa, I am very sorry to hear you have felt that way. Could you please let me know your user name and I'll pull up your account? I'll be happy to assist with any concerns!
Bid on auctions and save. All auctions start at $0 with no minimum price reserve. Everything must go! DealDash is the fair and honest bidding site. Founded in 2009, millions of bidders have enjoyed Deal Dash auctions since.
Great point Debbie. Unfortunately some companies have really tarnished the entire reputation of pay to bid websites causing people also to call DD a scam which is not true. As you know we are a retail shopping site where people can bid to win great deals otherwise just buy the item at normal retail price and not lose any of the bids. We appreciate the good feedback. Thank you for sharing. Dave
