I enjoy bidding on Deal Dash. I do find that some people seem able to bid way more than the item is valued at (cost of bids being used). Otherwise, all in all a great experience.

Thank you Mary, I'm glad to hear you enjoy your shopping experience with us. It's really not a good strategy to overbid the value of the item, however we have to remember people really value their bids differently. For example if they win a large bid back with just a few bids and when they're able to get free bids from some promotion. If you have any suggestions on how we can make your experience even better please get in touch. Sincerely, Dave

I registered with dealdash on 9 Oct and by the end of 10 Oct I had won 5 auctions. $205 retail and I paid 27.65. I bid 13 cents on a $35 and won it. I got my 22 inch TV today a $180 TV for 16,87. This bidding can become addictive... Unfortunately I cannot bid again till 15 Oct. So far I am more than satisfied with dealdash...

Way to go Mike! Sounds like you hit your winning limits pretty fast. We have winning limits to ensure equal chances for everyone to win. Currently bidders can win 6 items valued less than $200, and 3 items valued more than $200 per week. Thank you, Dave

Generally speaking this is a fun site. Do you win more than any other penny auction site? No. But lately I have participated in a couple of auctions where bids were beeing placed by players that obviously had third party software. As soon as a player placed a bid these "bidders" name came up at EXACTLY the same time and as the last bidder. It did not matter what time was left on a clock. For example if a bidder bid at 42:02 the "bidder" who placed a bid at 42:01 came up as the last bidder.

Hi Marsha, if you ever suspect anyone violation our terms of service please report this to our customer service team so they can investigate the matter. Some bidders will occasionally use a rapid bidding strategy in order to outbid others immediately. This tends to irritate other bidders and they know it because it can be intimidating and it causes you to not receive time as highest bidder in order to collect free bids. We don't recommend this bidding strategy because those bidders that do this will burn through their bids fast. It's better to set your BidBuddy and let the others waste their bids. The majority of auctions are won when using the BidBuddy. We'd be happy to help you out with any other questions you may have so please get in touch. Sincerely, Dave

As a first time user, I had no luck bidding. The completed auctions show people winning for very few dollars... however, when I have bid on some of the same items the bid got way out of range and I had to drop out, you did give me back my first bid pak... but I've had no luck in winning anything at a low price. Even the real cheap items have gone over retail inmany cases. This makes no sense at all. Why would someone pay more that the item is worth just to win a bid?
I guess if I had won a bid I would feel differently. Ot sure if im goilg to continue after I use up my remaining bids.

Hi Rick, sorry to hear you have not had any luck winning auctions. Most people do not over bid and pay more than the item is worth. One of the best strategies customers share with us is to calculate in advance how many bids it makes sense to use in the auction when comparing to the Buy it Now price. Keep to that budget and book your BidBuddy. Hopefully you will win the auction with much less bids however if you don't, simply Buy it Now to get your item plus all the bids used in the auction. Remember many people value their bids differently as they may have won bids or received free bids through a promotion. If you would like any assistance with bidding strategies please feel welcome to contact us and we'll gladly help you out. Sincerely, Dave

I have been using Deal Dash for over a year now. It is a legitimate site. You have to use your head and bid on things you want. I have gotten so many great deals from them and if it is something I didn't win, I can decide if I want to buy it now and get my bids back or walk away. Give it a chance before you know it. I love Deal Dash! And so do my grandkids. They benefit most with all my wins!

I use DD often and have won several things or gotten them for "free". You have to use common sense when bidding on "free" items. If there is a problem with shipping or technical error just write to support group and they help you out very nicely. Iv always been pleased with the outcome of anything Ihave had a problem with. Its sad when some bidders play games with you but just leave for a while and most times they just disappear and you can go back to bidding again. Play nice and let the clock run down so players get their free bids. Things can go wrong as we are on a computer remember. Id advise anyone to try DD. Watch the auctions before you play to understand the bidding and use Bidbuddy. Have fun now with DD!

I have nothing negative to say about DealDash. My experience, so far, has been great fun and I have won so much more than I ever expected! I have not won every auction that I bid in, and I don't expect to. I read everything on their site before I started bidding. Any question I had was answered either by the site or a Customer Service Rep. They replied in an unbelievably quick timeframe and were happy to help. If you bid on only items you would buy anyway then you cannot be harmed. All your bids are returned to you if you lose the auction and then use the BIN feature. I, too, have compared the prices they list with store prices and have not found any discrepancies so far. Studying the site first is key. Read the tips! Spend only what you can afford! Do not expect to win every auction! I am completely satisfied with DealDash and having a great time!

I purchased the starter pack of bids for $32 giving you 200 bids. My wife and I decided to bid on one item. We figured this particular item sold for an average of
$28 so we were "in it to win it". So we thought. We started bidding from the beginning. I noticed that at the $5 dollar mark, the site would close this item to new bidders. "No jumpers" I think they call it. It was pretty exciting for the first 150 bids. Thought we had a chance so my wife wanted to purchase another 200 bids to assure we would win this item, so we did. As this second 200 bids started to diminish using the bid buddy system I started to notice bids from bidders I had not seen bidding on this item. Huh, that's weird. I thought this site was not allowing new bidders after the $5 mark. This was extremely frustrating when it came down to myself and just one other bidder for several bids, and we thought if we could just out bid this one bidder the item would be ours. So, we purchased a third pack of 200 bids. After about 50 bids into the third pack, other bidders were jumping in. These "new" bidders of course played their part in absolving all of my remaining bids. This felt deliberate! I do admit being excited and having some fun for the first little while. This was my first time doing anything like this. However, I did feel like I was being scammed as this auction went on. I would definitely try it again if I can get a "FULL" refund for the 3 packs that we purchased. Thank you.

Hi Reggie, thank you for the feedback and sorry to hear you did not win the auction. After the auction price reaches $5 no new bidders, that did not place a bid before the $5 mark, can enter the auction. If you scroll your mouse over the avatar images of people in the auction, you can see what time they placed their first bid to confirm when they entered the auction. We offer a 100% money back guarantee on everyone's first purchase if not satisfied for any reason so we can do that for you. Also, we offer a second chance if you do not win an auction with your first bid pack. So, if you did not win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return those bids for a second chance. Additionally, you are welcome to buy the item you were bidding on at normal retail price and we'll send your item for free plus give you back all the bids you used in that auction. Just get in touch with our customer support team or contact me directly and I'll be happy to assist you. Thank you, Dave

Wrong item shipped
October 10, 2013

Wrong item shipped. 5 days no contact by phone or email. When I called I was told "This sometimes happens and it'll be a few more days until I get contacted. Never mind how much longer until I get my item. Oh yeah! And a 12 foot box of aluminum tubes that was supposed to be a mountain bike blocking the entryway to my home. My favorite from Louisa the customer rep when I told her I was furious with their handling of this, "Sorry you feel that way." Somebody explain to customer service that saying, "Sorry you feel that way." is NOT an apology. So I guess I will just sit and stare at this monstrous box in my hallway while I wait for their "Shipping Team" to come back to work. Serious statement. Their shipping team doesn't work everyday. They have an alternating schedule so the chance of getting immediate help for a shipping issue depends on their team being on staff THAT day. Sounds like a great business model.

IT CONTINUES!
So here I am STILL waiting for the bicycle I won. Now they tell me they can't give it to me. The best part is that they sent me a box of aluminum tubes from Amazon that was supposed to be my bike. I called. I emailed. I took a picture!. Now the head of customer support has apologized and said they cannot resend the bike because the same mistake would happen again! Excuse me? What? This is the second time they have pulled this Bait and Switch maneuver. They promise the item and then offer you more bids or a gift card as a replacement. The gift card is only good if I can find the exact item and the exact price or lower. What are the chances and why has that become my JOB to go out on my own and fix their lie?

I love Deal Dash.! If you like auctions you must try deal dash! It is easy to use and their products are all top quality. My advice. Read how it works, Set a budget on how much you are willing to spend and jump in and have some fun. I have gotten some great items from Deal Dash, unlike some other auction sites I have tried in past.don't be discouraged if you lose in an auction, you can buy the item and receive all the bids you used. Everyone should try it at least once

I understand that dealdash.com allows a full return of your money on your first purchase if there is cause. My first purchase after some time bidding was to just go ahead and buy now. I that that on a laptop computer at the price of $514. The article was shipped promptly but when UPS delivered it the package looked like someone had taken a wrench to the box. The flap was also totally unsealed. I was not about to accept such a vulnerable piece of electronics under that condition. I refused the package and it was returned to sender on Sept 26th this year. I did not hear from DealDash.com so I went to their contact site and advised them of the issue. I have since contacted them twice more and have had no response from them. If this was just a small item I would walk away but I am 78 years old, not stupid, and not afraid of anyone but God. I have received recent emails from them so I know that their electronic system recognizes my electronic system. I will not hesitate to contact any tv channel which carries their advertisements, I will start at the top. I will give them one week to contact me in regard to this issue. As I told them in my correspondence to them, I just want to be a happy customer.

The last three day I've seen something strange happening on DD. I'm limited on cash so I watch the site a lot and bid when I think there's a chance to win. What's been happening is a lot, and I mean a ton, of low end $10 and $15 Amazon gift cards have been going for $. 01 and a few more for no more than $. 03. Many of those are going to "first time winners". That seems to have stopped since last nite. During that same time period the $25 and up cards have been going of very high prices in general with a few under a dollar. This a/m the site wasn't updating like is is supposed to as well. Possibly internet traffic jam or maybe a denial of service attack?
The obvious inference on the cheap cards is DD is somehow allowing newbies to "win" a few to keep up the interest etc. I really think DD is trying to maintain a rep of honesty etc but when I see things like this m alarm bell start ringing!

Hi Ron, thank you for the feedback. I checked with our auction management team to see if there have been any changes with scheduling of gift card auctions. There have not been any major changes in the volume of gift cards scheduled. We did however add a few more higher valued gift cards such as the $800 Amazon, $500 Home Depot and $500 Walmart. It's likely you'll see even more higher denomination gift cards scheduled up for auction in the coming weeks. As for the price the auctions are selling for this remains very unpredictable, however trends show the lower valued auctions get less bids placed and therefore sell cheaper.

Regarding the site not updating well, our development team has been working on a new product releases and merging those updates to the database. I spoke with one of our developers and was informed they encountered a couple small bugs during the migration, however were able to react and fix those quickly. If you do notice any bugs please let our customer support team know so we can log the incident which helps our developers investigate and correct any issues.

If you have any other questions or have any suggestions on how we can improve your experience on the site please don't hesitate to get in touch. Sincerely, Dave

There are LOTS of team bidders or possibly it's the same person setting up multiple accounts. I have bid on three different items where there were two others bidding. As soon as I dropped out, one of the others did too letting the other win before someone else joined the auction. That's too much of a coincidence since it's happened three different times within a few days.

I did win an item 2 weeks ago that hasn't shipped yet. It's readily available online or at BestBuy. I contacted their support via e-mail & was told it may be as long as a month from the date the auction was completed. Their FAQ states fast shipping but it isn't.

Hi Jackie, thank you for the feedback. We take "team bidding" aka "collusion" very seriously and it is against the rules and terms of use of our site as is setting up multiple accounts. I hope you have written into our customer support team notifying of suspected team bidding so this can be investigated. If you have not done that yet, please do so immediately.

As for the item you won 2 weeks ago which has not shipped, I'm very sorry for this delay. Our team always does their very best to ensure all items are shipped by our supplying partners promptly and without delay. There must be some explanation for this and my guess is it has to do with a stocking issue. However, if you'd like to write in and provide me with your username I'll be happy to have this looked into straight away and provide you with a status update. If the shipping is still delayed we'd be happy to substitute the item with a gift card of your choice if you would no longer like to wait. Thank you Jackie and I'm sorry for the troubles and I hope you'll reconsider your review of our business.

Sincerely,
Dave
