Ordered on October 22nd and card was charged. Did not receive any information for a week so I called multiple times and on hold for over 30 minutes until hung up. I sent two emails with nothing in reply. I have finally contacted my card company and filed a fraud claim since it appears Davidson Defense just doesn't ship what they sell.
This supposed company is nothing but a scam! I placed an order more than 2 weeks ago and nothing but an email that the order was placed. They took the payment and that's it. I've tried to contact them numerous times but no response about the order. It's obvious that they are only interested in taking your money, which brings up the question of their quality. It goes without saying the parts are probably junk, don't meet mil-spec.
After reading so many bad reviews but decided to give them a try. I am glad I did. The items were shipped the next business day and I was provided tracking. Parts arrived and were exactly as expected. Completed assembly and went to the range. Everything performed flawless with over 100 rounds.
I will buy from them again.
Incorrectly assembled a.458 SOCOM I ordered with a standard Upper Receiver.458 Requires an XL version with the larger ejection port. Reached out to them Three times to make it right with zero response.
So Far I have purchased 3 complete uppers with no complaints. I ordered an unbranded Lower parts kit again with no problems. I have no idea where all these complaints came from but one can't help but wonder how skilled the builders were to start with.
A few months ago, I did a Review on Davidson Defense. Now I am here to follow-up with a "not so positive" Review. Their Customer Service is absolutely horrific! They WILL NOT return phone calls, Voicemails, or emails (even though they state that they will). I have had several issues to go on and I have tried to contact them via both phone and emails ad nauseam. Mistakes can happen; that's not my issue. The problem is that they (again) WILL NOT COMMUNICATE. It's unreal! This last time was the "Straw." Only after I mentioned a contact with the State of Utah's Consumer Protection Agency did I ever get a reply from them. Oh, and they never will give the contact info of the President or CEO of DD. I have asked repeatedly with NO response. MY $1K per month is going elsewhere because they don't appreciate it here eat Davidson Defense.
I have placed three orders with DD and have no complaints. The negative reviews that I found here after placing my first order had me worried. Then I found a YouTube video from a prominent trusted Firearm Reviewer giving a very positive take on a DD's AR15. They also have such a varied inventory of small single items that other sites simply do not have. I was able to order what I needed without buying what I didn't need. Customer service so far has been good. They gave me a 5% discount because of a misunderstanding on my first order. Also, they DO give military discounts with easy to do proving. In addition, they offer Free Shiping (to the USA) for orders over $120. So...Great Inventory, Quality Product, Good Customer Service, Superb Pricing, and Qualified Discounts. Davidson Defense is now my "Go-To" place for almost all my firearms needs and wants.
I have ordered products a few times from Davidson Defense. Each time I have received no communications at all about the status of my order, and when I call, I get the run around. On my 2 most recent orders they indicated 3 day ship time. I called the first time after 2 weeks and had to go pick it up after a manager pulled the product from stock. I am still waiting after nearly 2 weeks for my last order that indicated 3 days shipping.
Ordered an AR 15 stock. After 3 business days no confirmation email, nothing at all. Not in spam folder either. I don't even know my order number. Made attempt to contact them during THERE business hours on live chat. Couldn't get a hold of anyone. Just did a charge back on my credit card on this. F this company will NEVER buy from them again.
I do not know why Davidson Defense gets bad review on this site. I ordered a Sideways AR 556 Upper and parts kit from them on May 4 and it was delivered by FedEx today, May 9. Everything arrived as it should, no complaints. I have not shot my AR yet, but they get 5* from on quick delivery and everything I order. Well packaged.
Ordered a serialized lower on 3 March, tracking process in their facility is severally flawed. Customer service folks don't know status, FFL manager lost track of lower that I ordered that needed a part to complete kit. After 5 calls and getting the run around and excuses. Lower was found, put together and I received a tracking # on 26 April, waited a week no updates, called and the said USPC picked it up, and should call Route, called Route and USPS, that didn't have it nor had a status, called back to Davidson Defense and they discovered that it never left their facility sat there from 26 April to 3 May. Was offered 5% off next order...don't think I'll be ordering again, good news lower is in transit FINALLY.
This is the 2nd time I order from this store, the first order takes over a month just get shipped this 2nd order is almost 2 months and still is not shipped, the only response I got from them is they have high volume of orders and they are short handed, and only got this response after several attempts to make contact.
A month and a half and still no response and no frame they don't respond to calls emails nothing just take your money and it's all over
I made an order comprising of 12 items on 3/23/23. I got the acknowledgment email soon after placing the order, but did not hear until or receive another email until a week later on 3/29/23 when it was shipped. I received the order on 3/31/23 in perfect condition. I was missing a foregrip that was on backorder, but it will be sent separately. For overselling this product, they offered me a discount on my next order.
Overall, I am happy with my experience here at DD. The products were new and tightly wrapped. The box was well protected and didn't go through a beating as others have when I have purchased through other gun/rifle stores.
I felt they went above and beyond with the discount code for having one of their product on back order. I would definitely do business with them again.

I received my complete Davidson Defense Arian, AR-15,5.56 upper receiver in unusable condition. The slots for the charging handle were cut wrong and won't fit in. The dust cover won't close as well. I finally received the AR upper after 3 weeks of waiting. I've tried numerous times by phone and help tickets with no response. It seems once they have your money it's over. I won't be purchasing any more items from this company.
Placed an order on 1 dec and my CC was immediately charged. 19 days later (and counting) I have not received the order and cannot even get them to answer the phone or respond to email asking what the status of my order is. This will be my last transaction with DD. If you are busy, I get it but don't take my money and then ignore me
These guys are doing business under about 5 different names. That's not sketchy at all. I receive daily emails trying to solicit the purchase of full auto components. I emailed to inquire about an order with no response. Possibly because I inquired about the multiple names and affiliations. Everyone says the parts they produce suck anyway. Anything they have from a reputable company is probably ok, if the price is worth it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
I ordered 2 skeletonized drop-in triggers from Davidson Defense for a pair of AR15s, part number TR-*******. 1 rifle is a carbine with a Tactical Innovations lower. The other rifle is a mid-length built on an Aero Precisions lower with a factory installed ambi bolt release.
The first trigger I tried to install (in the carbine) fit fine until I tried installing the trigger pin. It was too tight. The same pin worked on the hammer hole. No big deal, a little time and some emery cloth and the pin fit fine.
On to the Aero and I couldn't get the trigger pin holes to line up. It was hitting the mag side of the trigger well and wouldn't move forward enough to line up the pin holes. I dissembled the carbine and tried the trigger that fit the Tactical Innovations lower into the Aero with the same results. The holes would not line up.
I ended up putting the original Anderson triggers I originally installed back in both and thought I would get in touch with support.
I have called on Friday, Saturday and Monday. No less than 6 times, no answer. I tried their website support page and you can't submit the page without an attachment. Even though the page clearly says that attachments are optional. So I tore down the mid-length again and took pics of how the trigger doesn't fit. I then put the Anderson trigger back into the lower. I went back to the support page and resubmitted the page with the attachment attached and what do you think happen... THE PAGE STILL WON'T SUBMIT.
Lesson learned, never, never, never deal with this company. Poor support by phone or web. No place to leave a review on the site. I have dealt with over 15 companies building my ARs (I have three) and all (until now) have been outstanding.
Pardon my French, but this place is the worst.
So far so good. I really appreciate the fact that a representative from DD actually puts their direct company email out there for people to reach out to. We are looking forward to doing further business with their company and having good results!

Placed an order online and paid via credit card. They sent a tracking number but the items never arrived. I emailed Davidson Defense and they responded by saying Not Our Problem, File a Claim with USPS. Luckily the package was brought to me by a neighbor who got the package my mistake. Thank God because Davison Defense would not have made it good. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
My wallet was stolen and over $800 dollars in guns including a M14 and accessories were easily purchased by juveniles. Thank God some of the weapons and my wallet were recovered.
Answer: Horrible experience. Plan on several unreturned email, calls and tickets
