DasCheap

There were some things I liked and disliked about DasCheap.com. I'll start with the things I did enjoy about it. The process of finding the products and ordering was very simple, the product I ordered was what it said to be in the description and, the product came on time and in good condition.

A few things I disliked about DasCheap.com. After ordering from DasCheap.com the only thing I got was an order confirmation and no information about if it had shipped or, not. I suppose that's the only thing I really had a problem with is that you will receive no information about where the order is and considering the amount of bad reviews this website has received it doesn't help them not sending any tracking number or, an email saying the order has shipped or, had been completed.

Overall, ordering from them wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I didn't have to deal with any returns or, speak to their customer service.

I did some research on this site before I made my purchase because there has been a been a few people weary of this site. They had my items cheaper and I called originally to ask about shipping. I was told 3-5 days as long as my billing information was correct (which was totally understandable knowing all the fraud that goes on nowadays) so I decided to place my order. I confirmed my account like the site says and I actually got my order in 2! I am not sure what others experienced but honestly I was happy with the customer service and the time frame!

I play a lot of video games so price to me is pretty important. That's when I found Das Cheap which offers games and accessories at a lower price than what I found on Amazon! I check around on the reviews and I was pretty discouraged by some of the few negative reviews but then I remembered how most of the time happy customers will not bother to do a review. I placed my order anyway and was happy (and a little relieved) to see it arrive sooner than anticipated. I then took it on myself to help out this company by giving them a good review because they deserve it! Also, where else am I going to get my games from if they went out of business?

I googled dascheap.com to see any reviews or ratings that might help me be confident about purchasing. I saw a lot of complaints that made me cautious. Don't know if they are scammers or just asian manufacturers but seems they bait and switch a lot of first party products. I found these reviews on Amazon. Either this site is a scam, or its a very poorly run business. After placing an order, I was sent an email suggesting a problem with my order. My credit card has been billed, but after three days, I have been unable to check my order in any way. The account link on the website does not work, and the phone number given on the website is not working either. I should have done some research on this site before doing business with them. My advice would be to avoid doing business with them.
Update: A few hours after posting this review, a representitive of Dascheap called me to verify my shipping information. He assured me that everything was straightened out and that I would recieve an email with my order confirmation and tracking info shortly.
It is now wednesday afternoon. I recieved and email from Dascheap this morning saying that they are in the process of verifying my clarified information (from Monday), and that if they have any other problems, they will... send me an email.
Shortly after placing my order with Dascheap, I also placed an order through Tigerdirect. My Tigerdirect order arrived early yesterday morning, while Dascheap is still verifying clarified information... Pathetic.
Das Cheap is Das Lame!

DasCheap.com who claims to offer a "Does not suck guarantee," does in fact suck, big time. I ordered 2 video games, with free shipping as advertised on the site. The next day I checked the status of my order, this was a Saturday, and there was no shipping information. I thought nothing of it and moved on; perhaps they didn't have a chance to get the item shipped Friday. By the following Tuesday there was still no shipping information. I called, and emailed, and called finally I got to speak with someone. This person "Aaron" told me that he had personally processed my order and didn't know why it had not shipped. He said he would contact the "warehouse" and make sure it shipped. On Thursday, still no shipping information (though Aaron had told me not to expect the site to update this automatically as my items were a split shipment) so I called back in. The item had still not shipped. That afternoon (six days after the order was placed) it finally shipped out and arrived in the timeframe anticipated with "ground" service.

After I received my item I called back to customer service, lucky Aaron got to speak to me again, and complained about the poor service. I requested expedited shipping on the next item to make up for it. After a bit of arguing Aaron finally conceded and agreed to the quicker shipping. The game release date came, a Friday, and went no shipping information. I called on the following Monday, low and behold the item hadn't shipped.
I requested my order be cancelled, at which time I was told that I would be expected to cover the cost of the shipping for the previous item as now my total purchase didn't meet minimum requirements for free shipping. I refused.

Granted, at this point, I have received all monies owed to me, and Aaron deserves a gold star for his "I'm not running the show" attitude in dealing with me. DasCheap.com is awful; the savings on your item should be substantial as you will deal with a huge pile of crap to actually get what you ordered.

DasCheap.com DOES suck.
