Daily Kos has a rating of 1.78 stars from 49 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Daily Kos ranks 3rd among Liberal sites.
That's why they criticize Daily KOS and write all these negative posts. Why do they believe the gibberish from FOX news and Trump's relentless barrage of lies? It's simple: Because they can't think for themselves -- they lack basic intelligence and the ability to reason. The problem is that you can't fix stupid, so I just glance over their ludicrous posts and laugh.
I receive DailyKos newsletter and I often sign petitions of theirs which is fine. Their online site where users comment in response to articles however is outrageously unfair and severely censors any opinion different from theirs even if your comment is free from foul language, slurs, threats, or anything remotely offensive. The administrators also refused to delete account as requested. I've unsubscribed to their newsletter and refuse to have anything to do with them. They are trash.
I find Kos pales in comparison for aggregating political news article published elsewhere along with excerpts to RawStory. The later recently added original articles. The pluses are that Kos allows anybody to post their own stories, called diaries, and that there's often thought provoking discussing in the comments. The minus is that community posted stories rarely include original material and opinion, in fact they don't even have an opinion section like major newspapers. For my take on why my story got me banned, with the story removed from the site, without any reason sent to me, can be found if you Google my name, Hal Brown, and a keyword like Daily Kos or Trump. Tip for consumers:
I do not find Daily Kos to be a particularly useful site for political news or opinion.There are better websites to do this with. If you want to post your own material it is the only liberal website I know of where any registered member of what they call their community can do so and potentially get up to 2000 readers and over 200 comments as I did a about a dozen times with my over 1,700 posts there before I was banned without them letting me know why.
The news articles are usually fairly good, though the reporters often miss important events. Diaries are often of less quality. But the comments are often naive and biased. I had enjoyed free and open discourse at Firedog Lake for several years, but when that closed the only alternative was, sadly, DailyKos. Other commenters there frequently lack the acumen to understand my posts; and if someone makes an observation they don't agree with, especially from an actual progressive stance, the moderators are quick to ban that person. So, the website poses as a "liberal" forum, but in reality is quite provincial, pedantic and conservative, pernicious to the progressive cause.
Have been reading daily kos for awhile and began noticing the posters are mostly the same and they speak to each other with the familiarity of a club. Which is fine, until you ask some questions they don't want to hear. Have you ever read the rules of the road over there? What hogwash. So if an established poster tells you "you can die mad"... that's fine... but push the issue, try to expand your question and you are dismissed like you're nothing to them. They appear to break down into the bullies and the bowers... thanks but no thanks
I'm a big girl who has seen bullies before and will again... just always startling when it happens where you thought they were better than that.
While much of the info is interesting, to be squelched from adding intelligent comments is a kick in the butt and is also a real threat to the First Amendment. I therefore consider this source of "news" an illegitimate one not to mention un-American. If my benign comments can be censored, then Daily Kos is guilty of the very treason that they purport to convey about others. After several years of reading their news, and coming to the realization that it might not even be real news, I'm unsubscribing. They also never replied to my questions about why I had been censored. This is just not good business sense, but I guess they have enough supporters and don't care about losing one more petition signer.
I am not happy about the slant the Daily KOS has taken against Sanders and pro Clinton! I am considering looking for another news feed.
