I needed a new Adventure helmet but the selection in the store was very limited. Based on reviews, I narrowed my selection down to three models: Shoei Hornet X2, Klim Krios Pro, and the Scorpion Exo XT9000. In the end I ordered another Shoei Hornet X2. I have had two previously. CG happened to put them on sale $100 off, which expedited my selection. I really would have liked to try on the Scorpion, but did not want to get into potential returns. I know the Shoei fits and works well. According to the size charts I am between a Medium and Large. The store was able to confirm my Large with other Shoei models in the store.

I say its "my" CycleGear because the employees treat me like a good friend. They listen to me, joke with me, respect my prospective, enjoy my kids, and never act like they are using me for a sale. In the beginning of my gear search, I noticed CycleGear had little to no real competitors. That lack of competition frighten me, because I assumed their prices would be higher due to no competition. I was wrong and im glad I was.
Cycle Gear continues to maintain its great selection, prices of high quality products. Shopping for touring boots I found several choices and decided on the TCX model similar to the ones I bought 12 years ago. Quick delivery, no hassle ordering. Cycle Gear is great.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
