The only women who messaged me back were looking for me to register on some scam sites. What a waste of time.
Not many cougars in my area. Have been using thos site for almost one year without any results. I admit I did not use it on a regular basis though
The site charges the same price as premier dating site like Match.com and Jdate, but the quality is crap, and here's why:
1) Spam: There are probably more profiles that are porn spam than real people. There is a report button, and customer service told me they are actively monitoring, however, people I've reported over a week ago are still on.
2) Selection: There isn't a large selection to choose from. Most of the profiles of the women have only a picture and not a single sentence written by them. I suspect they are spam, but who knows.
3) No chat: Websites that charge $40/month have chat. This website does not. Chat worked well from me on other dating websites - In fact it works better than sending inbox messages.
4) False "Online" indicator: Every profile says the member is online. How can ALL members all be online ALL the time? This is probably done to give users the illusion that other users are active when in fact the website is doing very poorly. Customer service told me it's a glitch that they're trying to fix, but how long does it take to fix a small problem?
Many small business starting out on the web use fake profiles to get the website going. When I first joined I got a few messages from other "users" who were saying hello and asking me to tell them about myself saying if they like it they will respond. In other words, don't expect a response. It had all the markings of such in-house created profiles "welcoming" me to the site...
And now to the most outrageous one.
5) While on the phone with customer service discussing all the above, the rep said, "I'm looking through your inbox and it seems like you've been getting messages from real members". I was not asked for my permission to go through my e-mails. Clearly they don't respect their users' privacy.
Bottom line: Not worth the money. Not worth the time.
DO NOT SIGN UP! All replies are auto responses and profiles are fake... There are plenty of reputable dating sites that are true to their use. THIS SITE IS A SCAM.
Nice site and nice concept but really expensive compared to other big sites like Cougars69.com. But always worth a try if money is no issue.
I have been on here for a month and haven't had a single real interaction. Don't waste your time or money on this bull$#*!.
The site is all bots, over $50 a month and then have to buy credits when you run out, wtf! Stay away it's all garbage
CougarLife was founded in 2006 which makes it a very well established age gap dating site. Other recommendable age gap dating sites like Cougars69 were launched much later which makes CougarLife the most experienced site.
That being said, before you decide to use CougarLife you need to be aware that it comes with a high price. You can join for free but that free membership limits you. With a free membership you can pretty much just browse the site. Recurring fees and a credit system make this site more expensive than other age gap dating sites... at least this is my experience. Good news that the site has many active members. I have no idea how large their member base is but I also don't care. It is not important for me that a site has 'millions of members across the globe" when I need to find someone in my area. In other words, I don't need a site to have five million members in Africa when I need a date in San Francisco. That is one of the main reasons I've used this site. There are not many sites which have as many members as CougarLife, well, I am sure no other site has as many members for age gap dating. But now let's talk about quality because I have seen many frustrated reviewers pointing out that CougarLife is a 'Scam'. I believe and I know it is not a 'Scam'. I have met many women using CougarLife. Period.
Conclusion is that CougarLife is a good and reputable age gap dating site. Only site which comes close is Cougars69 which is significantly more favourable and also a big recommendation by me. But you can unhesitatingly use CougarLife provided you are willing to spend a little time using it. Good luck!
I paid for this site a year ago, in that time the site has gon from bad to worse.
Save your money, this site is terrible.
It is a fake website... but there are very very few genuine members... banged couple of cougars thats about it!
Ok, I have not paid for anything yet. I do believe it is sketchy though. There have been at least 4 separate types of profiles I have found that are similar to another 3-4 profiles afterwards. One person will have a well-written profile, but then 3 or 4 others I find have almost the same exact profile paragraph for paragraph. Others have the same exact profile too that tell you to "watch" their show and then they will start to meet up with you. Yeah, very sketchy!
I was close to spending the $40 for a month until I had seen what the profile of one girl had read. I swear, I had seen that same profile on other girls previously. Yes, there are some legitimate women on there. Do I think there are dummy accounts constructed by the site itself? No sh*t I do! Lol! The admins lack creativity when it comes to their profiles, and it shows. You can tell the difference between legitimate accounts and dummy accounts, for the most part at least. Also, the fact that they don't let you exchange numbers or any other contact information is completely insane and ridiculous. Most sites are doing that now, and every single one of those sites have placed up dummy accounts and try to pass themselves off as legitimate go-to sites.
Honestly, sites like this make me not want to join dating sites entirely. Yeah, a handful of accounts are real, but how many are not? Watch documentaries too, and even those who run dating says admit they will use a man OR woman to chat via text from their offices. Also, when prompting each other to meet, whether it be by plane or nearby, mysteriously "something" comes up. Yeah, it happens.
I don't know if I really want to pay for this site, but it is definitely one of the more fishy of the sites I been to. I have not even paid for it yet! Haha
I've received over ten messages from different profiles and as soon as I upgraded my membership and responded I did not get a reply!?!?!
I was on this site for over a year and no legit contacts made. I'm handsome 6'3" green eyed guy. And NO action over a year. SCAM!
AVOID THIS SITE SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR MATCH.com
They took my money, cancelled my membership and paypal wont refund, don't risk it thinking paypal will refund you.
Heck yeah! Men looking for an older woman. This is such a great site. Opens otherwise closed doors to women. I love it!
I signed up to see if i could hookup with a cougar just for fun. Messages up to 50 women and no one replied back to me.
Been on cougarlife for a month and get nothing but 20 spammers a day, what a joke, big waste of time and money
Waste of time, waste of money! Doesn't even deserve a single star!
Fake profiles, automatically generated mails!
Bullsh*t!
This is James, I am an Admin of a Dating Site Reviews Website. Today I want to share our CougarLife.com review with you:
We know that there are many bad reviews on CougarLife.com and we also admit: We think there are sites which are better in certain regions. Cougars69.com may be better if you are from the UK or the US, CougarLife may be better if you are from Canada... but still CougarLife is NOT a complete SCAM as most reviewers try to make you believe!
But let's talk about CougarLife now: The name itself explains what the site is all about. It is a dating site where young men can find older women and cougars can find younger studs. If you like cougars or if you like young men then this site is where you should be. There are single moms, divorcees, spinsters, working women from various professions looking for a good time and there are younger studs from various walks of life. It is unlikely that you wouldn't like the dating prospects or you wouldn't find what you are looking for. You may want a casual date, you may want a good friend or you may just want to hook up for some sex without any strings attached. There are profiles which have distinct preferences and you can approach those who share your objective.
As mentioned we believe there are better options for cougar dating. Still, CougarLife is basically legit and one of the few good Cougar dating sites. Contrary to most other cougar dating site you will find mostly real and authentic women on CougarLife as well.
CougarLife is a rare dating site that doesn't hold anything back. You will find it difficult to find a more upfront and honest dating platform. And that is what makes CougarLife so special. Get rid of all the fluff, hollow promises and tall claims. Want a real date with a cougar? Sign up with CougarLife. Espsecially if you are from Canada, you will not regret it!
Good Luck!
Answer: No the site is a scam
Answer: No, there are real people on that site BUT: 1. You're "annual membership" is actually a set number of credits you can use toward emails, once they are gone, so is your membership. 2. To encourage you to spend you're credits, the site will bombard you with fake profiles to reply to. A little research, and you can easily tell who's real or not. Unfortunately they won't tell you when the persons last login was, why? Nobody ever logs on. So you're in essence wasting your time emailing to real people unless they reach out to you first.
CougarLife has a rating of 1.6 stars from 258 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with CougarLife most frequently mention fake profiles, credit card and customer service. CougarLife ranks 656th among Dating sites.
