I purchased a blow dryer online from Cosmo Prof less than a week ago. Shortly after receiving the hairdryer, I changed my mind and called for a return label. I meet all return criteria. The box is unopened the blow dryer is unused I have proof of purchase and it is within 60 days. They insist that the box is open and that the blow dryer has been used. While being untrue, I am curious as to if they have cameras in my house and can see somehow think they see me using this blow dryer?! The box still bears manufacturers, tape, and yet they somehow they insist that it does not. Keep in mind that, this was an online purchase and I have only spoken with the representative over the phone. I have called several times and sent more than a dozen emails and yet I am refused.

This is a general statement of the poor experience(s) I have had with this company. I make purchases for myself and a few of my family and friends only. After recently finding out that one of the two stores within a reasonable distance from my home has closed permanently, I now have one store to shop at. Without fail, every time I go there, they do not have the products I need on the shelf. I am constantly having to switch my hair color to something different because they either have one or no bottles on the shelf, leaving my hair in a hit-or-miss state as to whether I will get my color right or not. If that isn't bad enough, I have tried to order online several times and most of the products I need are not able to be shipped to store and I am forced to either choose something else or pay ridiculously excessive shipping costs for 2-4 bottles of hair color which often amounts to the cost of the products themselves. If the store has space for the products on their shelves and they purport to sell it, they need to HAVE IT ON THE SHELF. And if they can't handle that, they need to be able to order it for you but they can't do that either. The products I need are all sold on Amazon and I don't even need my license for it. I will NOT be ordering from cosmo prof again and going through this ridiculousness.

I've been a member since 2006. I received my first Cosmprof member card from 1100 S Atlantic in Monterey Park, Ca. Kathy issued my card. I came back with my husband to help him get his card. Kathy added him to my card. We have both been using the same card for about 10 years. It hasn't been an issue. We order online and in person.
Last week we went to the Monterey Park location. It's been about a year since my last visit. As soon as we opened the door, "May I help you" echoed three times as the employees jumped out of the back room. I came for three specific things, and I know the store. I said "No" three times. There were no other customers in the store. I'm sure Kathy heard the other girls ask before she walked out and followed us straight to the hair color. She kept making random suggestions, as if she were rushing us out. Another girl stood at the end of the isle watching as well.
I got three tubes of hair color and forgot to get the Icy White and the developer. We went to check out. My husband handed the lady our cosmoprof card. She began to question if it was really his. She asked specifically for my ID. I told her it was in the car. I was about to go get it when she stopped me and said it was ok. She sold us the products and we left.
It wasn't until I was washing my client's hair that I realized I really needed that Icy White. I sent my husband to the Cosmoprof closest to our shop. They greeted him, asked if he needed help, once. Then asked him why our account was flagged. Apparently, the miserable woman at the Monterey Park location flagged our account, asking for my ID.
I've reviewed the store on several sites in hopes of getting a response and maybe even an apology. But it looks like that behavior has become normal in that location, according to their reviews. They don't respond to reviews either.
I felt discriminated. I felt targeted. I felt like we were profiled. My visit was useless since I had to go elsewhere to complete my purchases.
Please educate these women on customer service. It's useless to hoard the products so they don't get stolen and discourage customers from ever walking in again.
The website is difficult to log into. The prices are questionable. I find better deals in store.

Tip for consumers:
Keep your member card handy when trying to log in. Wait for those sales weekends.

Whenever I go in to a cosmoprof, they never seem to know any of the products they sell. They also have price stickers missing often. I've gotten a $20 brush for cheap because it wasn't labeled correctly. Very unprofessional.

First, my experience@ 2 different local locations one@ Colonel Glenn in Beavercreek Ohio manager Jackie, Second, Wilmington Pike Centerville Ohio, manager Jeff - These managers are good to work with, staff as well. Now for my personal experience per corporate can't say the same. I wrote my review earlier in 2021 directly to them! Not my local stores. However, corporate did finally refund me frozen account because of a Amber not doing her job! Period. To get positive high quality service the CEO should check up on The human resource department on what idiots they're hiring. 80% of ALL successful businesses sores because of great upper management that being said 85% businesses fail because of lazy upper management, so ladies and gentlemen in the beauty world we will see which way the ball bounces in the near future! Lots of horrible reviews on here. What happens IF love & integrity was applied here? I always apply it in my business. It's standard! Upper management that is getting paid the "most money" in corporate Cosmo is absolutely the one that has to make the positive change in the good stuff and bad stuff always starts at the top and rolls downhill. Maybe... your next board meeting should be decisions being the difference we stylist need! God bless ur steps, for the steps of a Good man or woman is always ordered by Holy Jesus. I found the manger very rude when I went in today. Didn't look up, very stern and gave no sh***.
Lacking friendliness and cared not that she lost a sale. I've shopped at COSMOPROF for many years and never experienced this. Time to call it a day lady.

Placed an order online. I refused an order after calling to cancel it in September. It's November and still no refund of $2548. It's November now and I've filed a complaint with BBB.org if they don't respond and give me my refund it's going to small claim court. This is ridiculous.

Tip for consumers:
Just go to the store instead of ordering online.

I'm a customer more the 5 years I sold my salon but still a customer me I'm license hairdresser for long years had my own salon and was cosmoprof client for long and I will never will buy at Hyannis Ma, store again for very rude and poor customer service, they need to train they employees better, will ever wasting my time with this store I had a very bad and poor experience. I give one star because I can't give 0

I have been trying for weeks to get Guy tang colors, being told by 3 different stores they arent getting them in, or they cant order anything and yet I was told on Guy tangs Instagram to ask the manager to order it, was told no they cant do that either, yet went directly to the Guy tang website and ordered 6 tubes, then today called and asked when shipments come in, was told it was today but to call back thursday, so it takes 2 days to put out product? I then asked if there was a packing slip to make sure there was the developer, before wasting my time with them, i wanted, since that has been out for weeks as well, was told no they cant do that. Very bad customer service! I will just order it directly from his website, i'm tired of the runaround

Awful online customer service. Placed an order in the app. NEVER received a tracking number. Called customer service 3 times…2 times I was left on hold for 30 minutes! 30 minutes! WTH The 3rd time I was disconnected after holding for 15 minutes. Unacceptable! I was told they would look into the tracking and email me. NEVER HAPPENED. This is the worst place to order from online. Would highly discourage anyone shopping online here.
Thankfully my order arrived.
No communication.
Extremely long wait on the phone.
Not trustworthy.
Zero stars.

Not really good customer service! My mailbox was broken in to and all my mail was stolen. I miss my payment by two weeks and I pay everything in full as soon as I find out my mail was stolen. Customer service do not Care why my payment was late and would not wave my late fee. There's always an exception! Accident happens, just look at my payment history. Not happy about it. I am canceling my card. Not that they care lol 7/26/2021.

I went in to pay my bill in full in August. I was told they could not check my actual balance because their website was down. So I paid the amount of what I knew I had purchased and an additional $50 to cover fees ect... I was told I'd also receive a late fee credit for their system being down and not being able to pay my bill their system automatically adds a late fee. I have no access to my online account and have requested help several times with zero luck. I was contacted yesterday for a $53 balance all of which is a late fee that I acquired while receiving bills at the wrong address. (I have called and requested a change in the address several times)
I've had the card a little under a year and still have no physical card. I have no way of knowing what these charges are for as they send my statement to the wrong address. Per the conversation from the representatives I was told it was all late fees.
I keep track of what I buy from there and the payments that I made. I knew that I had paid well over what I purchased and still have no access to a full statement of charges/payments.
After being transferred many times I was told there is nothing I can do but pay the charges because even though I signed up through cosmoprof website and I can purchase things through their website that gets billed to my card I have no access to my card from their website because the card is actually through community Bank and that is where I need to go to sign up for access. However, the information I need to sign into my account from the bank website would be on a bill or on my credit card these of which I do not have any of and they cannot provide me with one digitally.
When I asked for the bank's information they told me I could look it up!? WTF!
Absolutely disgusting customer service - I'm cancelling this card and will no longer purchase a thing from these people!

Tip for consumers:
That you cannot access your cc account or make payments through this site even though that's where I signed up for the card.
When you get a card (if you do) you have to set it up with that info. If not you cannot view or see your statements

You might as well just shop for your products on Amazon and save your gas and time you will only be saving $2-$5 at the most by going to cosmos the amount is so little it's really not worth it! Use to shop there in the passed a lot but definitely traversed all my stuff to west cost way more reasonable pricing for hairstylists. I just cherry pick for cosmos now which is sad as I did shopped there for 17 years m. I think it was the passed 3-4 years I started to stop shopping there just started to find there where pricing as much as buying in a store! The one on Scott road be careful they always overcharge I even notice them doing it to other costumers as well hoping they might not notice that they have received the sale discount or double charge. It happen to me a couple times and this last time said something the last time but not this time! Saw another customer come in complain they got over charged as well! When purchasing with caution!

Recently purchased a GHD Helios dryer from the Cosmoprof website when it was on sale for $143.20. The first time I plugged it in it smelled like something was burning and the high heat setting began shooting cold air. GHD dryers are generally awesome and well built, but it appears I got stuck with a dud, and Cosmoprof refused to issue a refund or exchange, because their return policy states that a product can only be returned if it is "unopened". The advice given to me by the customer service (ha) rep was essentially, "take it up with the manufacturer" (pic included with review as proof).

While this makes sense for haircolor or shampoo, this is a ridiculous policy for styling tools. How do you know if it works unless you open the box and plug it in? Obviously, this policy enables them to sell defective or broken merchandise without having to accept responsibility. You'd get better odds buying used equipment at a yard sale!

I've had similar unhappy experiences with CHI flat irons and Wahl trimmers purchased at Cosmoprof in recent years, but truth be told, I would always just "grin and bear it" because I had a soft spot for this company-- I've been buying from them for most of the 20 years I've been in the salon industry. But things have gotten so bad the past few years that I can't in good conscience recommend this company to my colleagues or co-workers. It's harder than ever to make a living as a stylist, and licensed cosmetologists deserve better. But, hey, on the bright side, I now have a $143.00 paperweight.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy styling tools from this company. Once you open the packaging, they will refuse to take it back, even if it arrived broken.

A couple hours ago I visited CosmoProf store on 318 Ontario St in St Catharines. I was treated like an intruder or a thief. I am a licensed and experienced hairdresser, was operating a beauty salon in Brantford for over 15 years. I was away from Canada for 12 years, came back 2 months ago, renewed my license and try to come back to hairdressing. These 2 ladies working there were not helpful at all, what's more, they advised me to shop in Sally, s or on Amazon I felt like being kicked out from the store. Is this a way it should be? I become a member of new to me Cosmoprof beauty supply last year and I have to say that I ordered few times in the store which was great but online ordering is just weird.
They let you purchase stuff which you think you will get but no... instead they send you email after you pay that they are out of stuck of product. It make me mad because they shouldn't let you buy products which are out of stuck.
I ordered shampoo and conditioner and instead of getting shampoo I got two conditioners which one is half used
I try to call customer service but they put me on hold for so long.

Talk about sticky math. I purchased Kendra as part of the advertised B2G1 free promotion but quickly realized you get nothing for free. You can buy each of the items at a discount without the need to purchase 3 to receive the discount price, the third item doesn't come off at the end it comes up as the same as all the other sale items. I questioned this and was told since the items are on sale it's like getting one for free. Umm negative, I paid for all three at the sale price so I got nothing for free. In the real world, the two items would be charged and the third should be zero but not in the alternate reality that Cosmo Prof does math in. Unbelievable.

When you place an order it says items are in stock, they charge you $9.95 shipping if you are not ordering more that $250, you look at your order history and it says canceled. When you call to inquire the customer service reps are rehearsed to tell you that "someone must have ordered it before you? Ridiculous! Horrible customer service. It says a lot about the integrity of the company!

Have been going here for 9 years now and i will never be going back. The employees are rude and no help at all. Bought clippers which were defective right out of the box and was told they do not take returns. Asked her if they had another pair and there was literally nothing on their shelves. Wish i could give a 0
